Not Toyota’s fault that Cafe standards require hybrids… Toyota sells a diesel gr sport landcruiser in other markets but since the diesel engine is not up to United States emissions and/or fleet fuel economy… we get the gasser Lexus with a battery shoved under the load floor

Exactly my complaint in both this and the sequoia. I'm a Lex/Toy fan. Owned many. I drive a Tundra and I would prefer my wife to buy a sequoia or this would be my preference, but we have 3 kids and 3 dogs. No shot for anything Toyota. Instead, we are essentially forced to buy a Yukon Den. All kids and dogs and luggage for cottage, its the only vehicle that works. So wish Toyota would make a body on frame (so that the dogs can run on the floor) extended 7 seater. I would imagine there is a huge market in US/Canada for this.

We have nearly 40,000 miles on our LX 600 F Sport. We have been fine. It’s more on the Toyota side than the Lexus side. It’s not every engine just a few. They are actively doing the recall to replace them all. We got the letter but no update yet on when to take the truck in. We would get a 700, not worried about it.

The tundra engine is manufactured in the US. Unlike the one on the GX or the LX they are manufactured in Japan. So they’re not even the same.

Is it the same earth color as the GX ? How does the stone brown look in person say vs. all black ? I am trying to decide between earth or Nori Green. The other question I have is the fuel tank really only 18 gallons ? And how does you feel about the cargo area with the raised floor after seeing it in person ? I currently own a LX 600 F sport and absolutely love it, but is this worth the upgrade in your opinion = 18 gallons tank and raised cargo floor. Thank You.

Hi. Mahn that is so tough. Our LX 600 F sport is black. I’m partial to black but absolutely love Nori. Then Earth came and maybe i’m getting older but I love that hue. We have the black interior now, kinda wish it was red. The Stone is just enough for me without going overboard. I would lean toward this exact spec for an overtrail. Fuel tank is small. I wish there was an option. If jumped to the 700h it would be 7 seat. The car isn’t loaded up that often so I don’t think the raised floor would be a big issue. We had the 570 with the seats that folded to the side so we like pain haha. This will be very limited production, it would be charming to own and keep forever.
