THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. I have been suffering from old terrible-sounding speakers for years. Now I have no excuse.

Did your wires come with those speakers? I bought a different set so I was wondering where I'd get those from. Great video by the way, I can't wait to fix mine.

Where can one find speaker quick connects? I got an Alpine speaker to replace my 99 Lexus ES300 front right speaker that sounds horrible right now. Haven't tried to install yet.

By any chance do you have any idea if the rear speaker on your lexus are the same size as.the front ?
@hardlymovingpro Жыл бұрын
The rears are probably larger.

Did you leave the stock tweeters ? Were the Highs to bright?
@hardlymovingpro Жыл бұрын
Left the stock tweeters. The replacement speakers are 3 way with built in tweeters. Works and sounds just fine.

It would also help to get the speaker diaphragm rubber back

May I know what size speakers did you use for the front doors?

Think they were 6"

So.......how did the new speakers sound??? How about a quickie review?
@hardlymovingpro Жыл бұрын
Let's say a lot crisper and louder than the small magnet paper element factory speakers!
@kevyngarcia9287 Жыл бұрын
For the front two doors it could only be 6 inch or can it be 6.5 too. Also for the back two doors it’s 4 inch or 6.5 just a little confused
@hardlymovingpro Жыл бұрын
I'd go with the largest one that would fit for better sound quality when you crank up the volume.

He replaces a mid range component driver with a coax full range speaker. Not very smart as far as car audio.
@hardlymovingpro3 жыл бұрын
Sounds better than before.
@sooliomargod3 жыл бұрын
Hello Danny. Just curious do you say that because of the power draw or something else?
@offsure13 жыл бұрын
@@sooliomargod the sound system was designed with tweeters in the dash for highs, mids (not full range) in the front and rear doors, and the sub for the bottom end. My recommendation would be to replace speakers with the same frequency response speaker that was oem. He made no mention of the frequency response the oem had and what the replacement speaker specs are. He may have mechanical skills but may not understand component systems, frequency response, speaker types, etc.
@sooliomargod3 жыл бұрын
@@offsure1 yeah that makes sense. But for non audiophiles and for old beater type cars this is a great option and simple fix/upgrade.

what about the rear door speakers? any 6.5" will do?
