I'm currently out of the country working on a job for a few weeks, but I wanted to make sure I got this episode edited and uploaded. More vids to come as soon as I get back! Feeling good about the progress here. It's been a long time coming.

Definitely a huge reason to be a car enthusiast in SoCal. I have worked on cars on the east coast when I lived there and the rust is never fun to deal with.

Woah this is great to see somebody building an sc400. I just bought my 1993 sc400 a few months back and I've been debating selling it. After hearing that LS fire up in your SC you may have changed my mind! If you've got a drivers side door panel laying around HIT ME UP!
@FullySpooled5 жыл бұрын
http_logan I have the interior door panels still, but they are trashed. Pretty much the entire interior was ruined when I bought the car. It’s definitely been a learning experience getting the LS swapped. The 1uz is a great option though too.
@redpillin335 жыл бұрын
Fully Spooled I’m actually daily driving my SC at the moment, with the 1uz of course. I’m just itching for more power!Looking deeper into it I’m finding it a hard time to get power out of the 1uz on a budget.

Jeff you definitely need a turbo on that thing, put an s480 on it and go smoke 90% of cars on the road. I am just waiting for my dual catch cans to arrive and will start diving my boosted SC. I took it around the block, on just WG spring #8 it's a straight tire fryer
@FullySpooled5 жыл бұрын
The turbo will be coming eventually. I need to get this thing track worthy and bulletproof before I start adding boost. It is definitely happening though.

Hugely satisfying. I'm more shocked that nothing is falling off the car or leaking. We'll see how the first track day goes...
@IOwnCalculus6 жыл бұрын
Hell yes. Mine does the same shit whenever it kills a battery, completely forgets how to start and idle. I've taken to just keeping it on a tender so I deal with that problem far less often.
@FullySpooled6 жыл бұрын
IOwnCalculus I need to figure out how to wire the PCM so it doesn’t lose its memory when I hit the kill switch. Right now it cuts power to the PCM as well as the ignition. Shouldn’t be too hard to wire up, I just need to get back into wiring mode.
@IOwnCalculus6 жыл бұрын
@@FullySpooled Oh yeah, forgot that yours is set up that way. I wonder if there's any way to edit the base parameters in HPtuners. I should really spend some more time in that.

@FullySpooled3 жыл бұрын
Coilover companies have different levels of quality when it comes to their coilovers. The highest end (and more expensove) Tein coilovers will be better than the lower end (and cheaper) BC Racing coilovers, but when you compare the same "level" coilovers, BC Racing tends to have better reviews. These were $995 shipped and so far have been excellent quality parts.

What’s the rims and tires size on your car?
@FullySpooled5 жыл бұрын
Those are 17x8 +35 Enkei wheels from an Evo 8 with 235/45/17 tires. You can fit 245s on 8" wide wheels, but I will be upgrading to some 18x10" wheels fairly soon.
@FullySpooled5 жыл бұрын
I can't see to find your comment about wheel spacers, but yes I have 25mm spacers on the front in order to clear the UCA and LCA with the modded knuckles. The wheels in this specific episode though have only 20mm spacers up front.
