@@HowToDoitright apparently it was bricked already when i got it. plugged the programmer into the OBD, the red light was on steady, and it never beeped. 2007 ES 350, so it's on the list of cars. I was concerned when i opened the box because the key/programmer packaging had already been opened before. Thanks Amazon....

Ah sorry man. Same thing happened to me as I initially ordered a used one. Then I endup ordering a brand new one and it finally worked. Just call them and have them send you a new one and replace this.
