I love that there are so many neutral damage type now, it used to vary so heavily so you were either doing well or poorly. Now there’s enough neutral damage types that you’re bound to be doing ok no matter the circumstances, it’s more about the status effects than the damage type which is great.

also there seems to be no more than one element that performs worse for each faction (as far as i know, i hope i didn't miss anything), so you can put for example viral damage just for procs and add radiation or electric to the weapon for damage when you go against murmur. I had fun today when i took amprex for netracell missions.

No no really your so called """""NEUTRAL"""""" damage types does horribly against one or two factions each gives 0.5 damage multiplier i can say it's pretty bad so you do half of the damage and now inside the factinos there are units that needs different damage to kil it effectively and the machinery of that faction and the amalgams of that faction.... You need a shitton of different effect with you all the time you need a full loadout if you don't want to change up in every fknig time you finish a mission and start another....

You can also go to the star chart and hovering over the mission you want to do will display the strengths and weaknesses of the faction inhabiting the node.

I just use a boltor with blast, because, having the only subfaction that resist the element locked into one planet, and on top of being the new risen hero of elemental damage, yeah i can finally live my dream of having explosive bullets with my favorite guns.

@@maszkalman3676 There is a button to go to the mods screen above the config listings. The only thing the modding menu on the navigation screen can't do is level up mods. Other than that, you can open the config screen and name/fully mod each config.

I just joined the game and saw so many vids mentioning the old damage system, and was so confused because the descriptions just said "1.5x Faction" and "0.5x" Good to know that I'm not crazy and they just changed how damage works a few months before I joined

I've been having a great time with messing around with elements on my weapons this week. Corrosive/Blast is great fun, Magnetic/Heat on a hybrid Atomos Incarnon is a great universal sidearm, with the Magnetic tearing through Overguard and Shields, and Heat doing a respectable number on armour now. And don't get me started on what those new Elementalist mods do for Saryn (and on the Sobek...as if it wasn't nuts before). I love that we really have options now. Great update.

My current favorite new weapon is Incarnon Synoid Gammacor, stacking cold damage on magnetic with Secondary Fortifier against Eximus so they insta-freeze on strip, then murdering them with the extra critical damage.

On your note of Magnetic, you can combine it with Xata's Whisper/Silence (both if you play Banshee or Xaku) and make hilarious work of Exiums units. Add in Null Audit and the new Secondary Fortifier arcane and you can turn Eximus units into survival tools for squishier frames.

I have noticed something a bit frustrating while playing Xaku recently. it is now absolutely crucial that you get the Xata's Whisper bubble proc on a head shot otherwise your damage will tank. I noticed that while playing the Xaku with Boltor Prime Incarnon which tends to spray it's projectiles in Incarnon mode. The HP of enemies goes down super fast until the bubble pops on a part that is not the head, then it takes noticably longer to reduce the HP bar to 0, like hitting a wall. It's almost better to not use Xata's Whisper if you have a low accuracy weapon. Might also be a buggy interaction with the bubble?!

The best gem I found in this update so far is the kunai incarnon with secondary shiver as the arcane. Using it on frost, even a budget build can spam multi million damage auto aim headshots.

Something I'd like to see out of the channel is a bit more variation in the types of Warframe buffs you show off, I've only ever seen you use Harrow or Lady Mirage Prime for that portion of the builds video.

I came back after like a year and a half and was SUPER confused what was going on with the resistanced and why i suddenly dropped from full to death within seconds against enemies that i knew I could beat without even looking at them. This answers one of those things. I am assuming changes was made to player warframes as well but I cannot seem to find it anywhere, must be tied to the resistances and elemental changes. It did make me quit again though, until there is any info to go from on what happened to warframes and why they are so squishy now.

EG for a fun time, if you have a Magnetic Tenet Agendus, throw Gas and Electric on it with Melee Influence. Its gone from being a near-bench weapon until I could be bothered to farm enough to get a good element, to being the single strongest melee I have. (Note that the sword+shield stance has some nice forced slash procs that make it extra juicy) Also, try a (Heat-based, in my case) Tenet Arca Plasmor, building for Humu+Gas+Cold for primary frostbite.

After extensive testing, Viral + Heat (vs Armor) and Viral + Electricity (vs anything elese) are still king. Even Corrosive falls short, but Magnetic got pretty good due to dmg to overguard. They still need to do adjustments to the new system, most elements remain pretty useless or niche.

One positive about this update that I feel most overlook is just the overall buff almost EVERY weapon received. Really nothing was nerfed and all the lower weapons have gotten emmisly better

I simply changed everything to status based builds. Corrosive + Radiation + Cold + Slash (Hunter Munitions). It just melts any faction. No need to faction mods or change builds for specific missions. Easy peasy.

I will be very honest, viral is even more powerful now, because armor has been capped at 90% reduction, they increased HP by 90%, so those stacks of viral are now more important, before when you strip armor the enemy only had a small HP and perished quickly, now even if you strip it, there is 90% more health, before one stack of viral was enough to double damage, but now having the whole 325% is ideal, even if the enemy takes half damage of viral, 325 x 0.5 = 162% damage, pretty good. Taking this change in armor, a lot of weapons and arcanes that suffered by armor are more reliable now, take arcane empowered with its 750 damage matching, even at 90% armor it will do 75 damage, and so many secondarys dont get number as base or even higher with mods, so those can be used for fun, meta weapons are still strongest, but now we can use our Meme weapon with ease, even the infame IPS is now neutral to most and is not "lost damage" anymore.

I've been putting blast on everything cause it feels too fun. Magnetic is also satisfying because of the electric procs when you destroy a shield or overguard. My new "all rounder" favorite element however is electric, because it isn't weak against anything and melts the murmur.

All I've really done is put magnetic on a few things instead of viral (just for quick eximus takedowns during the event) and kept heat, then slotted in those new status damage and cannonade mods where best to (Zakti Prime, Bronco Prime Incarnon and Akbronco Prime are now beasts with both the status damage and cannonade mod and even better with the new continuous fire with semi-auto option). My main primary and secondary are performing 10x better than before the update and everyone was saying it was a big nerf or enemies becoming damage sponges or something. Before the update I would only dream of doing 8m toxin ticks with my secondary Catchmoon, now it's a regular thing, if high level SP enemies don't die to the shot the DoT gets them, and if the DoT doesn't get them the multi-GunCo with encumber on the next shot does. TL:DR enemy vulnerability and health/armor/damage changes were negligible, people are over-rating blast, cold is slightly better but magnetic needs cold so also negligible. And basically DE band-aided their own nerfs in the exact same update by introducing those status damage and cannonade mods while making semi-autos insane with the new accessibility feature.

Returning player here. So what does all this mean for something like the panzer vulaphyla? I've been watching vids trying to reacclimate to the game and that's been suggested as the best combat pet for stacking viral as a primer. But it sounds like that's not viable anymore

Viral as primer is still good, viral status chance makes health more vulnerable to damage. Some players would rather use nourish from grendel to proc viral.
