Yay, it's here! Sorry you got stuck at work :( Two quick notes: 1.) as others have mentioned, the yordle you recognized was a chembaron at the meeting where Silco releases the gas 2.) and MOST importantly - you two missed seeing the pre-release stuff before you saw season 1, so something to keep in mind: RIOT LIES! ;) There were several parts of the S1 teasers, Enemy video, World's Opening Ceremony, and other promotional material that was (to put it politely) misleading. A good example is a shot in Enemy where Vi gets arrested by enforcers. This scene (with her being shoved into a fence and handcuffed) isn't in the show, but obviously in ep 3 she actually gets "arrested" by Marcus right as Silco meets Powder. By inserting a "fake" scene in the music video, Riot teased the theme of the tension between Vi and Piltover's cops without using actual footage or giving away ep 3's ending. They also have a habit (which they definitely did here) of cutting two totally different scenes together to make it look like they go together, or that one character is reacting to what another character said even though in the episodes the two shots are far apart in completely different scenes. Enjoy all the stuff they put out before November (I sure as hell am), but always keep in mind their job is to get you hyped and set up expectations for the seasons - and some of those expectations are probably being set up JUST so they can subvert them when the actual show arrives. The real game for the next 6 months is guessing which moments are real and which ones are set ups. :)

As far as this being “The Final Chapter”, the show creator said he only planned for Vi & Jinx’s story to be 2 seasons (Their story including other champions Vander, Ekko, Singed, Caitlyn, Jayce, Heimerdinger, Viktor, Kindred, Teemo & Ambessa). They will be making more stories (movies and live action) in the world of Runeterra (League of Legends’ world).

honestly yes Jinx has always been a fan favorite...basically a mascot for League with Lux,Ahri and Miss Fortune but there are soooo many cool characters in the game that have even larger potential in my opinion , I hope that they make something with Ionia cause its my favorite region

Maybe two seasons is enough for Jinx and Vi's origin story, but not for Piltover and Zaun as a whole. There are a lot of characters from those cities that have yet to be introduced. I could see a five season arc that starts with a focus on Jinx and Vi, and then expands to other characters but still features the sisters, and building up to Urgot being the main villain of season 5. Though perhaps it would be better to let Arcane be Jinx and Vi's tragic origin and do another series set some time after with a larger cast of characters.

About Sevika, she is one of the most loyal persons in Arcane, but her loyalty is not to a person, say Vande,r but to an idea, this being an independent Zaun. So in her point of view, she did not " jump ship superfast", it was Vander who abandoned ship. Vander used to be a leader of the resistance, but seeing the costs of war, gave up on revolution and instead tried to make the best of a bad situation, trying to get his people, and especially his adopted family, out of trouble. In the words of Silko, he made peace with the Uppercity, became their lapdog after all they suffered. From Sevika point of view, Vander is the traitor instead of her. And you can not doubt her loyalty to her ideal. She threw herself in harms way to protect Silco from the blast. Protecting the leader of the resistance was more important for her then her own life. That is also why the coup attempt of Finn was doomed to fail. Finn talked about the Undercity as an "enterprise", and saw the troubles Jinxed steered up only as "bad for business". He and the other Chembarons lived in the upper parts of Zaun, breathing the goof air. while Silco remained in the lanes. That is why, when Silco asked Sevika if she was tempted, she answered "not for a rat like him". There was nothing that Finn could offer that interested her, for Finn was just a crime lord looking for profit, while Sevika lived (and was prepared to die) for the cause.

Before the explosion Jayce is positioned right next to Viktor meaning Viktor's hexcore limbs could instinctively protect both of them with some sort of shield. I don't think Mel needs to survive because her arc seemed complete with her choosing peace. In my opinion Mel dying would be both thematic and ironic because her death also signifies the death of peace in the region and because of her mother, her death is the cause of the war.

There are shots in Bridging the Rift, I think it's the second episode where they're talking about Season 2, and you can see them working on scenes from Season 2. There's one in particular in which Caitlyn is talking to her father, and it seems pretty clear (to me at least) that they're distraught over her mother's death.

Something to keep in mind, the teasers for the first season were total misdirection from Riot, some lines in the ss1 trailers were in the series but the context of those lines were completely different in the show, and some of the footage were made just for the teasers and didnt show up it the series at all I saw another creator pointing out that the line “My sister is gone” can be interpreted in many ways, either Vi accepts her sister really gone, or Vi is trying to convince Cait that Vi can do the job with the Pilt crew but deep down Vi just want to go with Cait to help Jinx Have fun speculating=)

And yes I agree I think Noxus is the next chapter since it’ll connect most easily to Piltover arc. I hope it is cuz my favorite champs are from Noxus. I mean if caitlyn's got new hextec stuff, surely one or both of the wonder boys must have survived... My prediction is that there's going to be as much conflict within Zaun and Piltover as there is between them. In Zaun, Ekko, Jinx and Sevika aren't going to be on the same side, who knows what the Doctor is gonna be up to. In Piltover, Medarda, Jayce, Victor, Cait, and Vi, plus others I'd bet, all have totally different ideas about what's important. It's gonna be a clustf*ck of a war because neither side is on the same page.

Omg 3 years waiting for this, I freaked tf out when I watched the teaser trailer I cannot wait to see s2!!! I'm thinking that everyone in the council died except for Jayce. I think they're able to say that bc Jayce must've stepped down since he wanted nothing to do w politics anymore by the end of s2. He has to be alive bc someone made Cait's new hextech gun and repaired (probably also upgraded) Vi's gauntlet(s). Viktor, if he hasn't died of his illness by then, is probably only a shadow of himself being completely controlled by the hexcore/corrupted arcane power and has become a vessel for its physical manifestation - so basically like a 'hollowed out mage'. I think he's the one represented w the hidden figure in the cloak. Then I'm pretty sure Cait has become the one leader of Piltover, since the Council was made up of Houses, w power passed down like royals, she must've taken over after her mother's passing. Also as we can see, Cait is wearing the tie/upper shirt/collar part thingy (whatever you want to call it) that her mom used to wear which I think symbolizes her station as Councelor. Also you see how she's the one making all the big plans for the war which always falls under the head of state's perview. I also think that out of revenge she's made a deal w Ambessa to ally Piltover w Noxious to aid in the war against Zaun in exchange for arming up Noxious w Hextech. Tho I'm scared of a possible takeover but that doesn't seem to be teased at all. Ambessa will also want to destroy Zaun to avenge her daughter so the allyship works great! As for Vi, she's obviously the new Sheriff. You two said Vi and Cait's relationship must'nt be going well bc of how aggressive Caitlyn is being. But I think that's going to make her closer to Vi bc Vi has always been aggressive and she's chosen her side - she chose Cait over the new Jinx. So, war time isn't great for realtionships in general, but I do think they'll be together in s2 bc they're reaching for the same goals, going in the same direction which always fosters intimacyand also their emotional bond was so thoroughly established all throughout s1 so I doubt they'd suddenly take it out. Plus we can see Cait at the end of s2 is being carried by Vi so she's not mad at her for Jinx's actions, she doesn't blame her. So I really don't think that there's anything big enough that'll break them at this point when we've seen how they both opened up to each other so much and they seem to be ready to do anything to support each other. Way less sure but for the ending of s2, I'm thinking Cait snipes Jinx succesfully while she's fighting against Vi and Vi is also in the line of the shot accidentally and so she dies w her sister at the hands of Caitlyn, which yes, sounds horrible, but I feel like w a story like that we can't get a happy ending at all. Also I love heart-breaking endings when the story of the show is set to be dark hahaha

5:39 oh but they did show Viktor! The is hidden in the teaser trailer really well, but he is there. Just before Sevika points her pistol at something there is a scene with an explosion, pausing the video carefully, you can see that the explosion happens in front of someone who has Viktor's laser arm on the tip of their staff. He wasn't a councilor. He survived... but almost certainly by being converted into metal even more than he already was. edit: 2 season feels right to me. So much of Arcane revolves around duality. 2 leaders (Vander and Silco), 2 sisters (Vi and Jinx), 2 cities (Piltover and Zaun)... it just feels right.

The original trailer for S1 of Arcane showed very little of the story and only contained Act 1 of the season. People are speculating that if they follow a similar format of season 1 that this trailer merely teases Act 1 and that it will build into a greater story.

I'm super interested in what Jinx is gonna be doing. This trailer and Season 1 trailers all gave very little away about what's she's really doing, and considering last season her whole story was so perfect, I'm just really excited for her story. Viktor's too! If he's alive (he most likely is).

They said " *Your* council is dead." Jayce was head of the council and therefor it's very likely Ambessa is talking to him. It could also be Mel and Ambessa is talking to her because she sees the council as hers (she was manipulating the council) but I think that's less likely. I think Mel died in the explosion. And Viktor / Jayce is the only ones to survive (maybe another counciler but that's not important). With Ambessa talking to Jayce about how he needs to attack Zaun etc for revenge on what they did to Mel (his girlfriend). I think Viktor will be heavily hurt and have to take more shimmer / augments to stay alive. Especially considering how he ends up in-game.

Seems like the people of the undercity know it was Jinx who blew up the council, probably thanks to all the wanted posters, so she's become a symbol of rebellion for those who want to fight back against Piltover. That's probably why Sevika is teaming up with her, seeing her as the child of both Vander and Silco, who could unite the people of Zaun to one cause They just need to get rid of certain people, like that chem baron guy, who want to hold them up out of fear or because the current system of oppression makes them lots of money

It's got the actress who played jinx in live action and best of all, it takes place in the universe of the game but is a completely different story from any of the games. It's literally 10 years after the latest in the timeline of games from a series full of games with multiple endings so you don't know what's coming even if you played them. A large majority of critics have been giving it a big thumbs up.

Many years ago they already said about "going back to Piltover for one more season before expanding into other places in Runeterra" and I completely agree with that, I wanna see Demacia!!!!! the lore and aesthetics/architecture is so cool there!! 🤩 I also think the more the stories progress, the more the champions get closer to their in-game version, and I feel like it gets harder and harder to keep preventing them from dying in the show, otherwise it'll get too predictable. Yes, I can absolutely see them going to Noxus next for sure, since we now know that Arcane is merely the start of the LOLCU (League of Legends Cinematic Universe, that's how I'm gonna call it), Christian LinkedIn, Arcane's creator, confirmed it himself, they're already working on the next projects across television and film, I'm so f**king excited😍 By the way, small detail, Ambessa is looking sick, but her armor in the trailer doesn't exactly scream Noxian to me, looks more like a Shuriman armor, another region/nation in Runeterra, maybe that tells us she's not originally from Noxus, which would make plenty of sense, since we know that Noxus already conquered part of Shurima, so some Shurimans are fighting for Noxus

The next story will probably won't be in Noxus itself, but will likely follow the Noxian invasion of another continent called Ionia. Singed is a major background player in that war. His actions create the backstories to at least 4 champions directly, including two brothers who become enemies (which sounds like Vi and Jinx, so it's a thematic continuation). Introducing Ambessa is likely a long game move that is meant to show how Noxus learned about Singed and got him involved with their invasion plans If you want to read more, the champions Yasuo, Riven, Yone and Master Yi are the main champions that Singed "created" through his war crimes.

I don't know if this has been mentioned in the comments before, but canonically, there's supposed to be an ancient city beneath Piltover/Zaun, the name of which I can't remember at the moment, but it's one of the many locations explored by Ezreal and also quite possibly where we see the confrontation between Vi and Jinx take place, at the very end of the teaser. Other reaction channels have also speculated that the somewhat blurry statue of a woman in the background of that scene could be of Janna, a wind spirit that was worshipped by the denizens of Zaun at one point. Of course, all of this has yet to actually be confirmed and we won't know for sure whether or not they've decided to implement it until the release of season 2, at the end of this year. There's a good chance, but at the same time, there's already been plenty of other things that are _technically_ canon, but still haven't made it into Arcane.

The ending will probably get Jinx arrested in a maximum security prison like Arkham with Batman and Joker. Also with her transformation as Jinx complete, no hatred for Vi or Cait, but just pure insanity and desire to blow buildings and people up. Maybe Vi tries to look into Jinx's eyes to search for Powder one last time but it would be like looking at a stranger.

Should keep in mind.. Arcane is somewhat a prequel to where we are in league lore now. As we know, Jinx is a teenager while in game/lore she's an adult. So, while the writers can do anything they want, Arcane is confirmed canon to all League of Legends lore. That kind of means.. certain characters (champions) are not going to die for sure.

Just to clarify, with the old trailers we only ever got scenes from Act 1 back in Season 1. So expect WAY more than what we see here for the entirety of S2. Obviously they need to keep their cards close because of the mystery surrounding who died and who didn't in the council.

while the show is canon and will follow the general beats from the lore (like Vi becoming an enforcer and Viktor becoming *spoiler*) there are for sure characters that can die because they aren't as important in the lore and don't have much story after the events of Arcane. like, Warwick (or even Jinx) would be a character they could kill without it effecting the lore of the games. while they follow the games and will try not to retcon (more) stuff, it doesn't mean they won't kill off a character.

I'm not sure we're gonna get more shows tho, Arcane was originally supposed to be an anthology season with each season focused on different regions and champions (I'm pretty sure) so either they're making new shows for each region or they're canceling the project all together (like they've done with some of the games they had planned). Either way I'm happy we're getting another chapter to this story. As for the champions in this show, Riot has said no one has plot armor, so anyone could die really and that line about the council being dead really worries me. I wouldn't mind if Jayce is gone cause I feel that his arc in season one can easily end there with fishbones. But he's such a key part of Viktor's story and Viktor definitely should survive, if Viktor died I'm going to be very upset.

The furry creature is (probably) the same as the one we see in the Chemtech Baron meeting where Silco poisons the air. As to the race. I would guess Yordle, same as Heimerdinger Runeterra has so many other interesting characters so its cool that they are expanding out into more shows and tv. Maybe not the same animation style for each, sadly. Zaun and Piltover has other champions we haven't heard from yet, so there is more stories to tell here even :D

I think Sevika might be working with Jinx in same way because her arm has been upgraded with a Jinx like design, something with a jagged jaw and lots of paint. Things to Note from the Trailer (Before Necrit tears it apart and gives us a 2 hour breakdown) - Vi appears to be the new Sheriff (Which is Odd because in the game Caitlyn is - so this is an adjustment) - Savika is using Jinx's pistol - so either she fights Jinx or is working with Jinx (both being likely) - Savika's new Arm is a giant chomp claw (like Jinx's traps in LoL (the game) and her little nades) - Viktor is in the trailer ;) for 4 frames you can see him after the Savika arm scene. - Jayce is presumed alive as the person fixing Vi's gauntlet in the teaser they released (not this trailer) - Jinx appears to be leading a revolution (against the Zaun council which may be why the Chem-baron and Savika appear to be fighting) - She is also in the background of the Chem-baron scene with a small child - she doesn't look in distress. But most importantly - none of this matters because Arcane trailers have been known to be tricks on the fans and things you see in them don't actually happen to keep people from being spoiled. Though this is far less likely the second time around. Necrit (another youtuber) does Lore breakdowns of LoL videos so it may be worth looking at his breakdown once he releases it.

I’m so exciteddddd😩 but also kinda sadddd it’s the final chapter😣🥲 one of the creators said it’s the final season of Arcane bc they want to explore other champions & they have something in the works that they’ll hopefully be able to give us updates on & tell us abt by the end of the year but that it’s a long process. I just hope this isn’t the last we’ll see of Vi, Caitlyn, & Jinx all together🥺 even though they won’t be revisiting this story. I’m also very curious to see how they’ll wrap up this whole story in s2 & I’m curious to see if it’s going to be more than 9 eps this go around👀

I am betting that after Piltover/Zaun, the next story is going to deal with Noxus primarily because of the introduction of Ambessa which creates clear connections to Noxus. This would also be work nicely because a story involving Noxus will give them easy ways to introduce Demacia, Ionia, Shurima, and Bilgwater. I know a lot of people will immediately jump to Demacia as the conflict point for Noxus, but I propose that it would make more sense to focus on Noxus vs Ionia. This is for two reasons. The first is that Ionia will teach a lot about how the magics in Runeterra work, which will show a stark contrast to what is going on in Demacia. The second reason is that they could introduce the Azakana which will talk about the origin of demons on Runeterra. This also ties into Demacia as it is known that Fiddlesticks is currently active there.

Vi tries to see through the thick smoke with her googles, that has been the result of innocent murder and mayhem within Piltover by her sister Powder, who goes by Jinx now, her old nickname of their passed stepbrother Mylo. Traps set with chomper grenades, seemingly infinite in Jinx' supply. Injured people moaning in the streets, in the distant a wailing cry of a mother about her dead child. It was like a warzone immersed in red fire and sky, black smoke and burning ashes. Vi couldn't shake her feelings of helplessness and deep sadness. Her PTSD flashed back to the time on Piltover's Bridge of Progress, when Powder and she were children, witnessing the death of their parents of the revolution led by late adoptive father Vander. An eerie hum of "Dear friend across the river" by Jinx filled the place. "Jinx! I can't do this anymore... You are my sister and I want you back!", eyes welling with tears inside the goggles. She's having a hard time breathing the air. Something she isn't used to anymore, since she joined Caitlyn for the hunt, living with her in her luxurious house. Breathing clean air instead of toxic fumes. "Liar!", Jinx' voice seems to echo everywhere, not being able to pinpoint the direction of the blue haired terrorist. Vi is looking aimlessly around. "You left everything behind for a cozy bed and your cupcake for dessert every night... And now, you wear the uniform of our parents' slayer!" "It's not that easy to explain Jin...", she was interrupted by her little sister "Oh YEAH!!?! The way I see it, you turned your back on Zaun... YOU... Turned your back on me for that hussy!!" She stepped nearer towards the pink haired enforcer with Pow-pow in her hands out of the smoke. Her eyes, filled with hatred for everything Piltover stands for, looked even more tired than usual, the dark eye rings digging deep in her face. "Why don't we finish this here and now? Once and for all?! Piltover vs. Zaun... Just like 16 years ago on the bridge?", she asked Vi with a tired voice and look that turned into a vicious and insane smile on her face, her eyes glowing pink with Shimmer in her system. "I'm not going to fight you Powder...", Vi slipped Jinx' real name out. Rolling with her eyes, she asked rhetorically. "Who's Powder? Oh, right... That little girl, that died, when her big sis left her... No, no, no! You've got to kill me, if you want peace, Pilty enforcer..." Her trigger happy finger pulled on the double action, that revs up the Gatling gun. Vi immediately grabs the gun with her Atlas gauntlets and breaks the gun apart. Without hesitation, Jinx pulled her blowback gun and tries to aim at Vi. Since she was never a good close combatant, Vi also turned her gun into dust. "Will you stop it, Jinx??", she pulled her goggles off "Where should this all end?!" Vi gestured with the gauntlets to present her sister with the consequences of their fight. "With one of us dead... I'm tired... Vi. I am tired of the voices in my head..." A clinking sound of a splint hitting the stone pavement made Vi look down and up at Jink again in horror with wide opened eyes. Jinx held in her hand a special hextech chomper grenade, that she had constructed. "Remember, when we then were breaking into one of those Pilty's apartments? I later found out, that it belonged to Jayce Talis. Those hex crystals, that powers your fat hands, it was a raw crystal... Unrefined, sensitive to sudden impact. I was way underestimating its detonation power back then when I tried to help rescuing Vander..." Nervously, she looked at the grenade, which dings steadily, not knowing when it will go off. "Oh don't sweat sis, I have set a 10 minute timer before it goes off. Enough time to say some last words to each other before we make it sky high!", she laughs maniacally. "Listen, I never wanted to leave, I said that in the warehouse... I... needed to cool myself off... I regretted it then to have hit you... I was overwhelmed, with everything... I couldn't comprehend or process it... When I saw Silco approaching you, Marcus kidnapped and drugged me from behind. He was the one, who put me in the slammer of Stillwater all those years... With guilt eating me up from inside..." VI's eyes darted at the quicker dinging grenade and her sister's face to get a reaction. "Jinx...", she gestured that she wants to slowly slip off the Atlas gauntlets. "Let me help you, please?" With her open arms, Vi stood there. Sweating bullets. "I never would have thought that my sister would stoop so low to be an enforcer..." Jinx knew that their time was running up. "Why did you leave me for that hussy?", she hissed with toxic hatred. "Jinx, please... Put the splint back first and we can talk about it why I did, what I did, okay?" "Answer me..." The speeding dings made Vi to the very talkative type "She was the first person, I could trust again after the imprisonment, who didn't backstab me like my inmates. She saw in me a person and not a dangerous Zaunite. And she changed my perspective about the people in Piltover. Yes, most people are oblivious to our struggle, because they never experienced hardship in the first place. It's always easier to ignore someone, you don't know. Otherwise they'd have to think about what their wealth was built upon. Caitlyn sees the person first and has compassion towards those, who aren't fortunate in life." "Is she more important than me?" Jinx asked, but couldn't get far, because the grenade was dinging so fast, that she'll never get the answer. "Guess, we'll never know..." Vi resleeved into her gauntlets and janks the explosive device out of her sister's hand. Cupping it to contain the explosion, even if it means losing her life. The force field of the gauntlet also worked the other way around and created a bubble that flashed brightly white blue, the shockwave pushed both sisters apart. Vi's gauntlets flew across the street, while she was 30 m away from ground zero. Jinx was not so fortunate and her head hit the partially destroyed wall of a house nearby. After a few seconds of awfully ringing ears, Vi got up and looked for Jinx. She saw blood on the wall and in the blue hair of the girl. "No, no, no, no! POWDER!!!" she screamed. Half conscious, Jinx tried to get up, but she was too weak to do so. "Vi?!..." Vi cradled her sister in her arms and tenderly touched her face. "I'm here Powder! Please stay awake, okay. Talk to me..." With half open, blood stained eyes running down her head she said. "It's the first time, that it's quiet in my head..." Tears running down her face, she replied "That's good Pow-pow..." She screamed at the top of her lungs for help... "It's okay, Vi... I... I am at peace now." She slipped away and closed her eyes. Vi was devastated, that she's about to lose her sister "Powder! POWDER! Please stay with me! I love you little sis! Please don't die on me, please!" She cried and buried her head into hers. Shortly after, an ambulance arrived to transport both to the next hospital. A week later, Caitlyn and Vi, both in black stood above the grave of Powder. Vi was laying the plush bunny at her tombstone, which reads "Powder, beloved sister, who finally found peace". Caitlyn comforts Vi "I'm sorry that it has to end like this..." "Yeah, me too..." Caitlyn was starting to leave the cemetery for the sheriff's duty and wanted to drag Vi by her hand, but she wanted to stay a while. "I'm catching up with you...." Across the cemetery, a cloaked figure, where her face was hidden, but not her blue bang, hummed "Dear friend across the river" and turned around to leave this place. "Nothing stays really dead" , Vi said to herself, quoting Powder. A little smile went across her face and followed the path to the exit of the cemetery.

Even if season 2 is wrapping up this storyline, it's still canon and a backstory to the current canon year in runeterra, which means Jayce and Viktor can't die until they've fully become their own league versions of themselves

Saying "the Counsel is dead" is referring to the idea of ruling by counsel, I would think. That could lead to a more Noxian-like Military State and dictatorship. Just a theory, I haven't seen anything about S2 outside of this teaser and reaction lol.

If you are going to start exploring league lore, don't be afraid to make videos of it. The league community is huge and loves seeing new people learn about it, from champion overviews, cinematics, voice lines, etc. I am glad they are ending it on their own terms and not drag on stories. And if anything, they can always bring characters back depending on where they leave people's stories. p.s. the reason why people think Warwick is Vander, since the game was made, one of Warwick voice lines said to Jinx in League is "You were there." It wasn't until Arcane that people connected the dots and league has been around since mid 2000s.

For Caitlyn it's very personal because Jinx killed her mom and probably Jace who's her best friend. Makes sense why she's so determined. Jinx got her own statue so there's going to be a time skip which is actually crazy when you think about how far Powder has come.

Victor is hidden in the trailer. You can see him at 0:57 of the trailer. Its a quick flash hidden behind the attack sevika makes against the chem baron, but you can see him casting some kind of magic. You can tell its him by the transformed arm and his distinct cane. :D That little Headwiggle in the Warwick animation that lets him seem like a dog thats shaking off water or something is sooo wonderfully creepy

People keep saying certain characters can't die because they're champions in the game and that Arcane is apparently canon but honestly if main characters don't die this season it would be terrible story telling. I fully believe that either Vi or Jinx is going to die this season considering that the voice actress's for Jinx and Vi said the finale left them crying so it would make no sense for everyone to come out alive much less unharmed.
