Simracing is difficult. Learning how to drive fast takes time, dedication and persistence. Assetto Corsa Competizione is one of the best simulations with highly sensitive aerodynamics that want to be respected. Telemetry, such as motec helps with analyzing car behavior and finding major issues in the car setup or driving style. Special sim racing hardware also helps with becoming better, but certainly is not the solution to your problems. Load cell pedals offer better feel. Stronger but most importantly more detailed force feedback of e.g. direct drive wheels offer more immersive sensations. Though I know and I've seen throughout the years, people with entry level hardware perform on top level.

So interesting what you explained in the first corner, about the inside tyres being able to take the bumps because the outside tyres are fully loaded. Great vid and explanation, I always wondered why I couldn't have consistency every time in the first corner.

Dank deines Guides hab ich nicht nur über 2 Sekunden im Delta auf Misano rausgeholt, ich bin heute auch meine absolut beste Zeit gefahren mit 1,357 (nach deinem Guide und gerade mal zwei Stunden "Training"). Die LFM-Lizenz hatte ich nach einer halben Stunde in der Tasche. Unbezahlbare Guides, vielen Dank nochmals!

I'm watching this again because I have a race at Misano tomorrow. The lines and acceleration points shown here depend on a setup that a) can tolerate riding the kerbs well, and b) rotates well on the throttle without losing too much time. Also needs a very sensitive driver 🙂

Just grinded up to 80SA, thought I could get the misano lap time in an hour or so, boy was I wrong 😅 still a second off and very inconsistent. Using the Ferrari and it’s very skittish over bumps, lots of understeer. Looked like your bmw was on rails. Should I switch cars or try to adjust setup? Gonna have to give it another go later this weekend.

each car has its traits. the Ferrari is very stiff, I can't confirm the understeer. it's one of the best rotating cars in the game. feeling understeer can also simply mean you are going to fast or ask too much of the tire. setups for almost all cars are on popometer.io all cars are able to do the license for sure!

@@SimracingPopometer yeah I think I’m going too fast. Watching your lap FEELS slower than mine yet I’m 4 seconds off 😂 always going too deep into turns 4 10 and 13. Need to pace myself and then build back up. I learned about the track limits and have been going balls to the wall haha

My main problem at misano is the third corner. Nice long corner but it always lifts me at the crest of the corner and I go straight into the wall. Maybe you know which part I mean. Do you have any tips?

you can get SR in single player with AI, too! just do a lot of side by sides without contact

I'm trying to learn this track and I hate it :( There's no flow, corners are unlogical, some look fast but are a hairpin others have huge brake marks before them but are flatout. I have no trouble with dificult tracks like mount panorama. this one sucks...

best to check the lfm website and the rules, I'm not aware of the exact process. the laps need to be within a certain lap time and valid

Simracing is hard. I have done 20000 hours of simracing. However, 7 seconds off the pace means you must work on the fundamentals. Brake in a wide position, come to the inside for the corner, go wide on exit. Let the car do the work, don't force it around. Relax. Use the brake before the apex, use the throttle after the apex. dont turn too much. Slow down once, speed up once. try to reduce stable speed phases.
