Heard this at 3am this morning in my apartment hallway. Opened the door and saw this baby raccoon on the steps between the first and second floor resting his front paws and chin resting on one step and his hind legs one step lower. He stopped chirping as soon as I opened the door and just sat there staring at me with his cute little masked face.

@@DA-js7xz Not surprising, considering we out populate a vast majority of species on the planet. We also are the only ones with a system of breeding our food and so forth. Other animals kill for no reason sometimes too. I still don't think it is okay that humans do it for no reason or stupid reason, though. At least try a prescription appetite stimulant applied inside the ear. I am assuming it didn't drink much and got weaker and weaker. You can also make a burner email and contact animal control to ask for options.
@LittleLulubee2 жыл бұрын
@@hicknopunk Why a burner?
@hicknopunk2 жыл бұрын
@@LittleLulubee well, unless you research the law, a lot, who knows what actions they might force on you. On the other hand, they are the best resource to contact in many areas as they know EXACTLY who you should contact. You might have to use the burner email so they cannot force you to turn the animal over to be destroyed. They are a "pest" animal here, so groups are required to have you turn the raccoon over to them by law and have to kill it by law. Not to mention possible legal consequences you could face, we live in a silly world now. It's just safer, unless you know the laws and hopefully animal control knows you by name, they bend all the laws if they know you enough to feel they trust you. I have to deal with aggressive feral dogs attacking livestock or report a black bear or something. That wildlife rescue thing might be good to use if your area has that, for that animal. Oh and shhhhh, I might try to illegally relocate them away from people myself since I am kinda supposed to kill 'em...😓

Anyone know how to get them out of an attic??? We called a humane wildlife removal and for over a week we've had traps set that are completely ignored by said racoons. Company only sets traps apparently (so not worth the almost $1000 it cost.) They havent gone near the traps. But they're destroying boxes of clothing and shoes and memorabilia up there in the meantime.. and pooping on everything! I'm heartbroken. I dont know what to do next. I left the vacuum running up there.. I made my dogs bark like psychos for like 20 min right under them with attic open.. I made a hot pepper/garlic sautee to stink them out etc. This video at least got the mama moving so I could locate them but now shes on to me. My husband is ready to go up there with the pellet gun. But I'm hoping someone can give a few suggestions before it comes to that 🙄
