Glad I found this. I was working on invoices from my vintage live sale on my channel and heard these chittering noises out on my porch. Now I know the raccoon is back. Had not seen her at night since her little ones got big enough to leave.

I had one as a pet when I was a child. She was a family member that spent lots of time in the house. She was very attached to our german shepard and they would play with each other endlessly. I found her as an abandoned baby and had raised her first with baby food from a turkey baster and then onward as she grew to canned dog food and fruit etc. She was with us for about 17 years before she passed. There are much easier animals to have as pets but she worked out fine for us and it didn't hurt that we had a vet who lived across the street.

Raccoons are very vocal, and make some of the most strangest noises. They're very deceiving with their cuteness. Some are very vicious and other's can be friendly but either way raccoons are very destructive & stubborn. Great video. So many ppl don't realize that these sounds are from a raccoon.

Pls be kind, it's just a Momma in need of a safe nursery and the wild isn't safe so just pls let her have a month or so of peace of mind. It's a HARD LIFE as a wild creature, and their mortality is unsure. Pls have a ❤ and let them grow, it's a selfless act that doesn't go unnoticed. 🦝❤🙏

OMG!!!! YES!!!!! I have at least 2 who have burrowed into my roof and, yes, they're cute and all but they can do a lot of damage to your property, not to mention the mess they make if they manage to get into your trash. Sorry, I love animals...but keeping me up at night and costing me hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars worth of damage to my home is a deal breaker. Over the yrs I've had a pet ferret, squirrel, domesticated rats, mice, gerbils, a hamster, a turtle, cats and dogs and always adored raccoons....until now.

Only a city slicker would respond like that. When you live out in the woods, or even have a camp where you spend a lot of time in the woods, raccoons are a pest. They are varmint. They are bandits and marauders who will test you and invade you and run amok all over you if you are not willing to the the alpha. I think raccoons are cute, interesting and impressively skilled animals, but they’ll walk all over you if you’re some little bleeding heart out in the wilderness. Judging by your response, you likely have no extensive experience actually living off grid, and probably have some misguided notion about how wrong it is to kill problem animals. Raccoons will be just fine, but alpha predators will take them out sometimes for good reason. Grow up.

@@proctorfamily5401 This guy just said raccoons killed his cat. I've seen raccoons somehow claw their way into living in people's walls. No one said they're not just trying to live their lives, of course that's why they do anything. But just because you've been lucky enough to not have them destroy things in your life, doesn't they don't do destructive things a lot of the time. You can be a little soft belly who doesn't shepherd his environment, but some people don't want their pets killed and don't want their things destroyed. I don't expect an irrational bleeding heart to understand, but not everyone is a pushover. Some people still take care of their families and their homes.
