The glue! Yes, a significantly important detail. I tried a variety of super glues and none worked. So this tip was very helpful. Thanks for posting.

I followed your video and was able to successfully fix my son's LG TV, works great thanks! long as the glue holds :) The trickiest part was finding the best way to put a small bit of glue on the 3 positions for the light diffusers. I did use Gorilla Adhesive but I would recommend a brand or container that has a really fine tip and does not seap, if possible. Would make that part of the job much easier. Thanks again for posting this valuable LG fix.

I sent my TV (LG 42LB65) to be fixed by an LG-certified repair center here in Egypt. The backlight strips were replaced, but instead of bright white spots, there are slightly dark spots, which can be noticed in video games with large bright uniform scenes. In other words, my problem was mitigated, not completely resolved. When I called the maintenance shop, they told me this is due to the fact that the components of my TV (especially the power supply) are old. I bought the TV, as far as I remember, on 2/2/2015, making the TV over 8 years old at the time of repairing (late May 2023). The weird thing is that the sightly dark spots are there despite the backlight being very very bright. Moreover, on some contents colors seem to be "washed out"; too much pale color on the screen, especially KZbin videos. Several technicians I know tell me different things, but most notably that it might be an issue with the quality of the LED backlight strips. The strips I installed are not a genuine kit produced by LG, but a Chinese one. The repair shop told me that the genuine backlight kits are far more expensive and are not available; all those who claim to sell genuine Korean LED backlight strips are lying. I need help, can this issue be 100% resolved? Can this issue persist due to the TV being old? I want to fix the issue 100% and have my TV like new again. Do you think someone here is lying to me?

Hi - Great Video - we had 48 out of 55 lens that fell off - this worked perfectly until we turned it on and the wording on the screen was backwards - thoughts? Appreciate the help. Thanks.

I noticed the diffusers are numbered but many of them repeat. Is there a difference where the diffusers go? Also some say T and some say A7 thanks

Hey what other glue would be good or better for a repair like this?
@GOODTIMEStech Жыл бұрын
Hi, You can use glue that can withstand high temperature, try not to use super glue as it may spread white shade on diffusers... Thank you, have a GOODTIME.....

@GOODTIMEStech Жыл бұрын
Hello sir, You can get the LED strips and inverter board from local electronics spare parts shop or you can search online easyspares.in/search?search=LED%20strip%20for%20LG%20TV&description=true Above link or: www.amazon.in/s?k=LED+backlight+strip+for+LG+TV&crid=1C46TFWEPTS21&sprefix=led+backlight+strip+for+lg+tv%2Caps%2C206&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 But you need to buy the same strips as those in your TV. Hope this would be helpful. If any difficulty please send me picture and details of both components to: winsometech703@gmail.com

From what I could gather visually, this seems to have been a pretty helpful effort. However - could I ask that you take a bit more care with your audio? It's quiet and sometimes very hard to make out what you're saying. I'm not used to asian accents - which isn't helping - but that's my fault not yours! A collar microphone can make all the difference between big beefy audio throughout and fading quiet audio as here. But thankyou for making the effort for us all - much appreciated! I knew about the diffusers but this video made it clear how to deal with them. I'm guessing that you additionally decided to re-glue all those that hadn't fallen off so as to ensure you didn't have to repeat the whole job - wise man. My TV is getting hard to live with due to the dark areas it now has so I guess I'll be buying some glue very soon... :)
