my 4 year old lg 3000 packed up last week, it was about 4 years old, just bought a replacement 50 inch Lcd with built in wifi for half the price I paid for the LG 50 inch and had a 2 year warranty, if it only lasts 2 years I'll be happy. first vcr I bought cost £499 and the first dvd recorder I bought cost £399, both these units lasted 5 or 6 years, a replacement dvd recorder cost £129 with built in hard drive, something the original didn't have. not that it's used anymore, dvd is obsolete now what with big memory sticks, which drop by 50% in cost with every passing year

I have an LG 50PS3000 plasma TV with the common Red Haze issue. Can tell me if I replace the ZUSU board, this should resolve the issue? I see some ZUSU boards for sale on eBay, but they look different to yours (and assuming mine is the same as yours) would a different model ZUSU board fit/work? They advertise them as 50PS3000 parts.

Sorry for slow reply yes should fix it.

+MrReeceyburger123 thanks for the reply. I tried a new ZSUS (white) board that was advertised for LG 50PS3000 but 1 connection was the wrong size, so I had to send it back. You mention the Red Haze issue in this video. I don't suppose you have or could do a detailed Red Haze repair video? 😊 Thanks again, shaun.

hi mrreecyburger123 I've got the same TV and recently the top half of the screen blacks out. I've tried replacing the top Y board, to no success. Put the old Y board back in and not the image comes back on after a few minutes, stays and then flickers off again from time to time. any suggestions? It's very frustrating trying to find an answer to this already frustrating problem
@MrReeceyburger1238 жыл бұрын
Hello firstly have you ran the test patterns, if not head over to badcaps.net and find out how to do so. Sounds to me like the Ysustain is failed the address buffers on it seem to mess up causing half screen issues. These are rubbish tbh.

+MrReeceyburger123 I'm trying to find out how to do the test patterns. There are moments where the full image does appear a few minutes from a cold start. Then it's intermittent with some pixilated lines when it does go black again

hi added pressure to screen ribbons and line disappeared. run for about 20minutes then went to standby. use remote to turn back on goes from red to blue flashes 8 times then back to red.
@MrReeceyburger1238 жыл бұрын
Yeah its a fault with the screen, you might have shorted Va to ground by putting pressure on it. My mate also did that, I did say its not fixable sorry Ken :(
