Do you think the tv is too dark for gaming? That’s really my last concern , is that I might think it’s too dark. I am so close to pulling the trigger on the purchase. Thanks for the video.
@AllAboutTKK3 жыл бұрын
Too dark? Nah not at all. People have grown accustom to turning tv brightness up thinking that enhances quality. When you think about what a movie experience is like, it’s in a controlled light setting, the brightness from tv, the desire to have super bright that is comes from us having natural lights that shine bright in our household. Getting to my point I’ve been getting OLED sets since the first 4K model, they have come a long way in brightness but you buy one of these sets understanding that you’re not going to have a ton of natural light on, if you control the light space then you will love this tv tech so much you’ll never want anything else trust me.

@@AllAboutTKK I just bought the 48" lg c1 and when i use game mode it gets a hint grey but my main issue is that i appear to lose resolution and detail. Why would this be?
@AllAboutTKK3 жыл бұрын
@@KevinPatrickKenny try taking a photo of your settings in tv mode, then when in game mode, adjusting those same photo settings. Understand that in “game mode” all the fake motion will be turned off, as it is a mode designed to eliminate input latency. I’ve adjusted photo quality in all modes and have zero loss in clarity or resolution and I’m gaming on PC, so natively in 4k. I hope that helps.

Word. Still got a C9 in my household myself also. First year they put Gsync on tv, yeah they made some changes for sure in the CX the 9 missed, less going from X to the 1 model and much more change coming from the 9 to this one I will say but if you’re happy that’s all that matters.

Turn VRR off. Turning it on matches hz with fps to make it more consistent meaning it doesn’t react frames in real time. I may be wrong but maybe that will help?
@AllAboutTKK3 жыл бұрын
That won’t help brotha. Thank you though. That’s what Gsync does, matches the hz with the FPS to reduce screen tearing. VRR just does the same. I thank you though.

Did you turn on instant response mode and did you turn on hdr deep color I didn't see the TV kick into the mood that it's in so that could be your problem
@cun7us3 жыл бұрын
I think this is an issue with your update or TV settings because I've seen videos of other people's C1/G1 showing an accurate fps on the new dashboard. Plus, the fps counter is meant to update every second which you won't notice if it's locked at say, 60 or 120fps. I would contact LG customer support and let them know the issue. Thanks for letting us know though.

No. Nobody buys this tv without having having their lighting controlled. This is an OLED, not an LED. This does not go into a room with 4 windows that has light blasting. Notice the room I’m in, you see one window and the tv is in front of it.

It’s broken even in 120 FPS games. (Sticks on 119 usually) until they fix it via firmware the only way to get an accurate reading is to turn on forum VRR or Freesync and hit the green button 5 times. I’m just assuming that it doesn’t work on PC with Gsync active for whatever reason.

can someone tell me if the G1 is actually allot brighter then CX? i’m not saying a little i mean allot, i had the CX and was wayy to dim for my basement with 8windows
@AllAboutTKK3 жыл бұрын
8 windows is something I would not recommend for any OLED, even the latest Sony. Just the mix of the gloss screen is a nightmare, you need to control the light, invest in the proper curtains or black out blinds. I’m also a CX owner, enjoyed it, and yes the G1 is actually brighter but again to my point made above, you have too many windows to enjoy your OLED on the day time.
@Codeman1133 жыл бұрын
@@AllAboutTKK ok good i’ve been trying to get a answer on here for months, unfortunately we have lots of fields and in ground pool so we don’t wanna cover windows up, we have a samsung 8K but to me picture looks more blurry in game mode then the CX did I also tried a Sony that was perfect but I couldn’t stay on the screen flickering problem they had so I’m guess I’m kind of stuck with this, What the problem is is Sony and LG do something special to their screens so game mode almost looks like it’s not on so you get the absolute best picture Sampson doesn’t their game mode is average but you can tell it looks significantly more blurry than the LG or Sony TVs so I guess I’m kind of stuck with that

But why is this feature a big deal ? It should had been added automatically in every oled lg created since day 1 lol I feel a big feature would be to something like 3D option
@AllAboutTKK3 жыл бұрын
3D died during the 4K era, the two don’t live together. This feature is a big deal because of its simplistic ability to toggle through and it’s offering of the FPS information, this stuff isn’t a standard in ANY TV from any other manufacturer so that alone explains why it’s a big deal. Any person buying the upper echelons and looking to game on their tv will understand.

Check my video of me unboxing Xbox series x. That is not why the tv FPS counter isn’t reading more. Think about it, in this same video I switched to a PC input, and out on a pc FPS counter and it showed more than 100 FPS while the tv didn’t, this is a limitation with the tv, not my console or pc that are both set on two different inputs. But I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
