Just bought a C1. Admittedly C2 is the way to go with a better processor and added brightness and newer features, but the appreciable price difference between the two gravitated me to C1 - and C1 is no slouch! Especially when you can save money to buy a decent soundbar to go with it. I hope I just don't get FOMO in the long run by forgoing C2! I'll skip buying a C2 in 2023 for now or even a C3 in 2024 for that matter! I'll just wait to see what C5 has to offer. Who knows, I might get a TV with a true AI OS, like the one from the film Her! Now that's a delicious thought! Who wouldn't want a SAM like OS enabled TV for some intimate companionship! However, something tells me that I've to wait for C10 to enjoy this kind of luxury! Or even beyond!

burn in is a issue if you use it as a PC monitor, I got it in 3 months from browser elements, youtube red icon etc, never stayed still long so it was just the wear and tear of those pixels . I got the tv replaced and have ran it for almost a year now without that issue with some safety measures in place. 1: change to firefox so you can f11 auto-hide taskbar(chrome doesn't) 2: use adblock+ and select element block from it to block page elements like the red youtube logo or the profile icon in the top right which remain consistent. 3turn off the tv every 4 hours of usage(more is better) and let it run so the pixel refresh software inside runs

Forget wiring, the question is whether you can put a Sound Bar in front of the TV without obscuring the picture or the IR remote eye. The C1 has a channel on the rear for wiring maintenance, but side HDMI cables may still stick out. The C1 is shorter to allow the down firing speakers to extend their sound wavelength, using the table top surface as a speaker length extension. Sound fires down, then curves and travels along the length of the flat surface. I love the substantial, stable feeling base, instead of wobbly skinny legs on the sides of the bottom.

Surprised you didn't go over the weakness of the TV.. .. (besides burn in)... In general LCD can get much much brighter than OLED. This can be useful for HDR content some of which is mastered at these higher brightness levels... or just in general. Such as when you are a in a bright room and need something that can overcome the glare. OLED also has this aggressive ABL that tends to lower your already limited brightness when lots of bright stuff on screen..

Agree. I won't buy a Samsung TV just because of their remotes. :D They had the touch screen remote and the remote without buttons and both were infuriating to use. Try finding an authentic Samsung "Universal" remote that can replace the minimalist button remote. Most are either after-market or they work poorly.

@mutcorentin72312 жыл бұрын
You really don’t need a other streaming device, it’s just a question of preference .
@wallyjohnn64342 жыл бұрын
Just remember that years from now those apps will either be obsolete or laggy because the Processors get faster and faster, more memory is added, etc. and the old apps. can't keep up. Also remember that built-in apps may not have the capabilities of a separate device. For example, the Fire Stick has the 3 bars option, which allows you to add channels and movies to favourites, but the built in does not.
@wallyjohnn64342 жыл бұрын
In the case of a Chrome Stick it is because one can add titles to a list by depressing the 3 bar button. Open up "My Library" and you can go directly to your selection. AFAIK you cannot do that with the built-in Prime app.

Wow, this sounds like BS hyperbole. The CX to C2 comparison only involve a meager 5 percent "improvement" in picture quality. The biggest difference comes from the CX to C1, and if anything, the C2 is a downgrade from the C1. If we are talking BFI, then we have to look at how the C2 dims the screen far more and does not even have the 120hz option. This cannot be changed either, unless they decide to change the hardware limitations in the C2 down the line. They will not do this, as it screws over early customers and would require a reworking of the processor and software. The CX and C1 have this option, but then again, this comment seems more like a sarcastic joke than an ironic, insecure projection. If anything, I would simply get a C1 and wait a few years before an upgrade. After the C1, I would go for a more mature QD-OLED, which seems to be something that LG will not adopt. Unless they add something truly groundbreaking, the C1 seems to be the last hope for LG, micro lenses and phosphorescent blue or not. Good luck, LG, because you'll need it.

I want LG A1 to play some games, like my Summer car, GTA V etc Good to hear your good point about burning, i still fear it a bit although. But i watched a video of a guy that used it for one year With 2.500 hours of use [something like almost 7 hours a day in a period of one year} And nothing bad happened. In my opinion c2 is too premium, would be good they doing one more simply like A1 or even C1, because if I'm not mistake This new panel is less likely to have burning, so would be good having this without paying too much more. The C9 is bulletproof for me, it has the HDMI2.0 port built into one of the hdmi ports for "future use" you can probably grab one for cheap in 2023. I paid 4 grand for mine brand new in 2019. I don't use it as often as my Samsung 65in curved TV that sits in my upstairs living room, because I save all the good shows and movies for the TV in the man cave. The C9. I also don't game on anything but my Samsung, so my Oled should hold up for another 5 to 10 years, if we're basing the life of the TV on hours watched.

All reviews of premium TVs have to be vis-a-vis the S95b and A95k. I think the 65 inch C2 is a great option at $1,600 to $1,800 once they fix the latency issue. My biggest gripe is the blurry effect it has. It’s like a dirty window that you cannot clean compared to Sonys. But Sonys have ASBL issues…

Good review of the C2. However in my opinion the C1 still beats it in several areas such as build quality. From a side view the C1 is thinner and feels more premium and high quality compared to the C2 which feels more plastic and cheaper. I also do not care for the stand. Looks like LG took that idea from Samsung but at least they dont have the dreadful "feet". The PQ is not much of an upgrade from the C1 to justify replacing my C1 with it.
@TueenTuo2 жыл бұрын
The only real image quality benefit that you get with the C2 is a minor increase in color volume. The brightness, shadow detail, and even the options for color gamut management are overstated and can vary between sets, i.e., a C1 can be brighter than a C2 if you're lucky or unlucky. You can also get much of the same image quality by simply calibrating the picture between the two. The features are the biggest "improvement," but they have also stripped features away or have added useless features. Many of these features like DVPD could've been added to the C1, but they have to add exclusivity to their new line of TVs. They may still add it, but it's currently an exclusive feature that mildly sharpens the detail in Dolby Vision. If anything, it just brings it on the same level as the C1 at this point, at least in DV. The C1 actually has the overall better, sharper, and more contrasty picture out of the two, meaning that it's color gamut appears to be a little better. I should also mention that the native gradation is better on the C1 than it is on the C2 and even G2, but the C2 is the worst. With the C2, you may get slightly less noise with near black detail (shadow detail), which can help clarity. Unfortunately, this comes at the cost of overall clarity and detail (sharpness). The depth is also significantly better on the C1, and the detail always appears to look better. It's not to say that the C2 is bad, but it certainly isn't all improvements or better overall -- this is a fabrication. They just hid behind more marketing jargon this year, which is quite pathetic and sad.
