I'm glad I listened to your breakdown about this washer. I have an LG Wave Force with only difference being that my control panel sits atop of the washer. I kept having and "OE" Code Error and starting from scratch, I disassembled the hoses from the pump and checked to see if there was an obstruction of some kind and there wasn't. Now I've done this twice. The first time I tried this the washer ran two or three loads successfully until the other day when the Code popped up again and the tub would not drain. I vacuumed the water out with my shop vac and I went a step further this time and looked the pump over pretty good but, I didn't find any obstruction inside the pump. I've read other articles concerning the "OE" Code and your explanation was better however, I don't know much about circuit boards, amps, ohms, etc. and I don't know if the circuit board could be my problem. I'm trying my best to stay away from calling a repairmen to fix this thing because I have already done most of the work for him and I wouldn't want to call someone and they just come out and do something really simple to fix my washer and charge me up my ying, ying! I think my next attempt at fixing my washer will be to disassemble the pump itself because I have heard that one man found a needle inside of the pump and once removed it fixed his problem. Thanks for your video and sounds like you picked up a winner of a washing machine for $150 because when I purchased mine it was close to $1000 and the matching dryer was almost as much.

I have the dryer that matches your washer. My LG washer has the controls at the back of the machine, but I am very, very happy with both. It used to be most appliances lasted 15 - 20 years without many problems--even washers and dryers. These days they cost 4 or 5 times as much and seem to have only 1/3 the life span. If I can get 10 or 12 years out of my LG machines, I'll be tickled to death.

I had the same problem with my Amana front loader. It was the end of a plastic clothes hanger. It stalled the pump and would error out. Cleaned it out and has worked great ever since.

+Dale Hobbs Good to hear you got it fixed. I'm wondering if my pump is damaged at all from being jammed up. I know the previous owner was using it and draining it into a floor drain. I guess the pumps are made to get locked up and not be damaged. At least I hope they are.

I purchased the LG Smart DRum Inverter with direct drive technology hydro shield top load washing machine in 2018, it is a money pit from start. Now the softener won't dispense. First it was the control panel, then other fixes, expensive, Thank God for You Tube help cause it has walked us through all the fixes so far. It says it has a 10 year warranty, but I am sure it doesn't cover this. What can I do to fix the problem.

At the 2:20 time mark on your washer shows a HOSE Clamp-on the inbound side of the pump. That is not a factory connection. Most of their washers had to be reconditioned, then sold as new. The hose is 2 inches too short and the travel of the tank to offset a lopsided load will one day rip that hose off. I repaced 12" of drywall in my washroom. Don't get caught by your wife saying "I told you so."

Yes. Trash it and buy a Speed Queen, preferably the TC5000WN. The Maytag COMMERCIAL (but NOT the big-box store "COMMERCIAL TECHNOLOGY") machines work well, too. The Speed Queen AWN-series machines, of which the TC5000WN is the only example currently on the market, is identical mechanically to the workhorse Speed Queen and Heubsch machines at your corner coin laundry. The Maytag is available around $800, and I paid $1140 ($1029 plus tax and delivery) for the Speed Queen.

I have the same washer and just recently noticed water was leaking towards the front of the machine when in use. The backside of the machine was nice and dry. what could be causing this? I removed the hose that connects to the machine and a small amount of water spilled out. Is that a sign the pump is failing? thanks!

if there is water above the tub the pump is not working. It sounds to me like you have a leak. The washer always has a little water under the tub even though it is all done. That water will start to smell if you don't run laundry for over 5 days or so.

I ended up snaking the line that is shared with my kitchen sink at two different clean outs. I didn't see anything come back hanging off the end of the snake but I ran it down for about 20 ft each time. Turning on the machine and watching the pump operate, all seems fine and no leaks. At this point I just have to keep an eye out for any leaks.

There are 2 visible screws at the back which once removed releases the wire cover. You just need to unclick for it to pop out after screw removal.

The rear cover has three parts. Two smaller on the side and a long one one in the middle. Are all these parts connected and do they just pop out if I insert a flathead? I am trying to adjust pressure valve to get more water in the wash.

I like to know-how in the name of heaven you can open to top plastic cover in the back to get to the noise filter on these particular machines. There is a fuse in there. I have no power at all. I have taken off the door and every screw associated with the cover. All that seems to be left is pry them plastics. There has to be a fine trick to do so without busting them all.

I am finally and I mean FINALLY rid of my example of that machine, and will never again own any product from LG. When mine died the first Sunday of May, 2019, just 5 1/2 years old, I went to Smith Appliance in Marietta, GA and bought the newly available Speed Queen AWN632SP116TW0, also called the TC5000WN, or simply "The Classic". While SQ did introduce the TR-series machines for 2018, the reviews were mixed. Speed Queen loved them, the customers didn't. The TC5000WN marks a return to an independent agitator and a tub brake that means they don't have to install a lid lock. The SQ has a true hot wash cycle whereas the LG limits the temp by mixing tap cold water, not what you need if you need a sanitize cycle. Best of all, the Speed Queen actually gets ground-in soil out of the denim in my work jeans, a feat that no HE machine I have used, front- or top-load has been able to do. No more repeated fills brim-full and drain cycles trying to balance the load, no more doodly-doodly-doodly t the end of the cycle. SPEED QUEEN OR NO MACHINE!

POS machine. 3 yrs old had to replace the agitator disk and bearing assembly. Constantly has UE or uE codes.(unbalanced.) fill the tub totally to try to re-balance . does this 3x then shuts down. waste of water and time. Takes HOURS to complete a load sometimes.

Only 2 hours? I timed my cycles using a calendar! My new Speed Queen runs a normal cycle in under a half-hour and actually gets the clothes clean. Watch the reviews on KZbin; some models have gotten mixed reviews, but the TC5000WN is probably the best top-load machine you can buy.

Wasted over an hour with LG... started with 'chat', they wanted my purchase date, etc (i'm just the tech). @@lyla3436 I have fixed the problem if you'd like to know? There's a video on it if you just search "LG washing machine spin dry not working" I just unplugged the water level sensor and cleaned up the terminals then let them dry, plugged it back in, turned it on, tested the spin dry and it worked, I also got slightly electrocuted when I touched even the plastic of the water level sensor but it wasn't too strong of a zap and that way I knew its not grounded properly or something is bad with it so just make sure it's turned off when you clean the terminals, would definitely need to be replaced soon tho. Also if that doesn't work then the water level sensor probs needs to be replaced, but you should test the water intake manifolds buy unplugging them and trying to run the spin dry mode like that and if it starts to spin then you know the water intake manifold needs to be replaced. Just to clarify Abit and save some extra research :)

Just fixed mine and it’s running like new now. Was so fed up with this error happening over and over again. Ordered suspension rods part # AJK72909308 and replaced them using another KZbin video to show me how. Took 20 minutes to replace. Screw LG for not knowing that this fix is this easy and for not helping all of us that spent money on these washers.

@@warrensmith1005It means your machine is out of balance. Move the clothes around so they're distributed evenly and try again. If you still have a problem, maybe check to see if the machine is level. The drum should look centred from above.

Total agreement. LG builds shit, no matter what the product category. Stay away from the Whirlpool group machines. They used to build fine machines about fifty years ago, but tha last two I had were terrible. I have been dealing with this machine needing repairs for well over a year home warranty keeps replacing parts well loud squeling noise stopped but now leaks water like crazy will never purchase another washer like this piece of crap!!!
