@@ToJustLivandLetLive I think your manual mentions(Page # 43-44) how much quantity of vinegar or citric acid has to be used. Manual says that you have to place ¾-1¼ cup of vinegar (taken in a bowl) on the upper rack and run an empty cycle (without any dishes) - Auto cycle after removing cutlery basket. In case of citric acid you've to take 3 tbsp and fill it in the detergent compartment and run an Auto cycle. This you can do directly from the machine. I think not all options are enabled in the app. I will try to make a video of the same in my Bosch dishwasher soon.

. Namste everyone .. I have just bought LG dishwasher from an exclusive LG store . The feedback is .. 1.Delivery of the product .. Next day 👍🏻 ( You have to done the necessary plumbing requirments before the techie comes to install) 2. Installation... The technician came within 3 days. Installed it, (I used IFB detergent and rinse aid. Didnt pour the Salt as the techie said its not required if the water is soft) started the very first load of soiled utensils as per his instructions 👍🏻 3. The cycle got over in 2 hrs.. was too excited to check my washed utensils... Plates, bowls, spoons etc all tableware wer shning like new.. Now the 2 lit milk pot ... It had a few particals of the detergent on the inner bottom surface and the malai layer was not as cleaned as you get with hands. Tea vessels were also partly soiled. Cooker was cleaned. So I Wasnt happy with the performance. The techie suggested to wash on some other programmes.. so we tried those too.. but the prob of detergent particals and partly soiled pots still the same. The techie came for the second time and sggested to use FINISH TAB instead of detergent. He tried all the other programmes also ... We tried almost all the possible settings... Using a tablet ..now no soap was left but tea pots were still soiled. My Feedback... I have purchased this LG dishwasher after watching and analysing so many reviews . Everyone said they are very much happy.. with any brand of dishwasher. Friends honestly speaking Im not very much happy as i need to clean a few utensils even after washing them in a DW. If anyone can rectify my problem.. plz suggest .. as its very disappointing and frustrating.. you all can understand. Thank you for reading

same for me as well. yes i know whats the point of buying this when you have to still wash the dishes. But brother there is no way to get rid of this problem. I do it and you also have to do it. One thing you can check is the orientation of dishes (the way you place them in DW) improve that. And try to use Steam feature + High temp + Extra dry with intensive progm. GL

The person who installed my machine didn't inform that I have to add water along with salt. Can I add it now as it has done 2 cycles already ? Secondly even after adding salt refill light is still flashing. Why? Lastly which cycle is better express or eco? Which consume more energy?

Hi ume dawud, 1) yes you can add water into salt chamber now. After putting water, and after a few cycles salt light should go off. 2) Each cycle, whether turbo, or auto, or eco or express is good for a certain load based on type of dishes and level of soiling. 3) Express consumes more energy than Eco. For each cycle selected, how does one know the breakup/split of cycle time between wash-rinse-drying. In the washing machine one can easily see which process step is going on & accordingly know the time for that process, but in the dishwasher there is no such breakup visible. Also temperature used for each cycle doesn't show anywhere...so how does one understand how hot the water is going to be??

Hi Bob, thank you for finding my videos informative. Whichever stage of cleaning - wash, rinse or dry the dishwasher was at the time of power outage, it goes to the beginning of that stage.

Hi, thank you. About using half tablet or half quantity of detergent, you can do so for half load. But I'm not quite sure as to why half load also needs full 3+ hours? I think only the company people should be able to answer this.

Madam we bought this machine after seeing your videos. We has a problem with this dish washer. Whenever the power was off while cleaning dishes, the machine resart from the beginning ie., it starts fresh cycle from the beginning. Please make a vedio on this problem

Sorry that you are facing this issue. I learnt about this much later. Actually, I had this machine only for a couple of months with me, when I made the videos. I came to know after many viewers shared this with me. I have made a video on how Bosch has an auto resume feature and in that video I have mentioned that LG dishwasher does not have this feature. Please try to use the dishes at a time when you have a continuous power supply of three hours.

Re the half-load option (@ 4:30): now I know that selecting the left-side triangle enables the upper rack, while the one to the right refers to the lower rack (vs. indicating their relative position maybe). Before watching your (non-brand) video, I could not locate a precise description of this (without having to run a test load I suppose) - not even in LG's user manual. Thank you! Does anyone else find LG's side-by-side pointer design here a bit confusing? Otherwise these have been pretty good dishwashers for us.

Please give a little time before opening the machine after the wash cycle as the dishes will be very hot. After some time, slightly open the door and leave it for 15-20 minutes, before you actually open the door fully and remove the dishes. By this time the water would have totally drained off. Also check the rise aid setting. Try this, I'm sure your problem will get solved. If not write to me.

Hi . From lockdown no maid and I can't dare to have maid again. No stock available to buy dishwasher. I am studying more and more which dishwasher to buy. Your guidance is impressive. And still I m in confusion . Lifespan of Bosch or lg is more? Wn comes after sales service which is best? That touch panel looks sensitive does it have warranty ,if touch gets error? The interior of lg is more comfortable than Bosch for Indian kitchen. If possible please answer.

Hi Darshan, thanks for your query. Generally manufacturers do not recommend washing of aluminium cookware in a dishwasher as they tend to blacken. But I have tried washing in low temperature cycles in which the aluminium did not get tarnished or blackened. Having said this, much depends on the water quality. You have to find out by trial and error only. Hi Divya, First ensure that the wi-fi is not too far away from the dishwasher. Then connect the smartphone to WiFi and download the ThinQ app. You have to first register on the app. After that, just follow the instructions given in the manual. On the app search for device to be connected, follow the menu in choosing the type of machine and then switch on the WiFi on the machine. It should show up on the smartphone. Then you can choose the machine and connect it. Hope this helps. Good luck. Thanks.

Sorry that my previous reply was not exact to your query. Hope you have taken care of all points mentioned about Wifi connection in the user manual. If you have tried all optins and Wifi light is still not blinking, there could a problem in circuit or software, I would suggest you contact LG service for resolution. Since LG has Smart Diagnosis through remote, may be it can be resolved over a phone call with Smart Diagnosis. Good Luck. Thanks.

Yes, you are right regarding the auto restart, a lot of my viewers recently have reported the same issue ie. the dishwasher does not resume from same point but starts from the beginning after a power cut. i am not sure whether this is only in one lot or this is a deficiency in the machine. Hi @GodDay b, sorry for the delayed reply. That is a good question. To get burnt stuff fully cleaned in any dishwasher is a challenge. It depends on water, program chosen and detergent. This is the case for any brand dishwasher. Yet I have got more than 95% cleaning by using high end tablets. So much depends on that too. I have got equally good results in LG (for the little period I used it). So very difficult to say which is better in cleaning burnt stuff. Thanks.

I setup on my own(initial setup as no engineer visited from LG) In tds meter my water ppm is 450 So I set H4 in machine for water hardness level Filled it with crystal Salt and 1 liter water I'm facing few issues with this The water is becoming sticky, Easily can say by touching water or by touching in side body Some different smell is coming from machine after or during wash. Why water is not normal why water is becoming sticky Is there any issue with the machine? Do I need to change water hardness settings. Did you ever face this

Hi I have not faced this. You have given TDS meter reading which may not be an accurate measure of hardness. I would suggest checking the water for Ca-Mg hardness at any food/water testing lab near you. Then change the settings based on that. Sticky water, smell during/after wash is not something I have faced. These symptoms are indicative of some other impurities/contaminants in water which are invisible or dissolved. Is the water smelly even at normal temperature from the tap? In that case go for total water testing for all impurities/dissolved chemicals. If indeed there are impurities in water, these could be coming out in some unwanted manner after water is heated in dishwasher and gets mixed with detergent. If water is fine and there is still no improvement, then I suggest you call LG to have a look at the issue. Thanks.

How can I resume my washing cycle after fixing IE error ?

Hi Bijay, that's a good question. There is not much information available on this. IE error comes due to water supply which could be one of the below - inlet valve closed, inlet pipe kinked, filter clogged at inlet, etc. Based on my experience, for the first two, if the IE error shows up and it is attended immediately within a minute of the alarm (valve opened or pipe straightened) the machine resumes immediately. For other issues, it could take more time to start the water supply again and at such times the machine does not resume but we have to restart the machine. This is to the best of my knowledge. Hi, actually the machine has to restart from the point it stopped. Logically this is what should happen. But what I have learnt is that the machine goes to the beginning of that particular operation which was running at that time. Like you've said, if it stops at any point during wash segment, it goes to beginning of wash; if it was in rinse it goes to beginning of rinse etc.

I recently bought the LG Dishwasher. Due to lock down I could not arrange for the LG technician to visit my home for a demo. I have set up the dishwasher on my own and have started using it. One problem I have with the dishwasher is that Auto cycle did not dry the utensils and there was plenty of water & moisture in the compartments. I understand the Dry option did not work in this cycle. Is this how this is supposed to work ? I also tried Turbo cycle and the result is the same. Which setting should I use for regular operation to get the dry option to work ?

Regarding the consumption of salt, check the water salinity setting in your machine. It may have been sent to a very high level. Did you contact LG Service Center to resolve your issues ?

I think what you mean is whether it works with cold water. The machine has a inbuilt heater. Yes, it works by cold water and the water gets heated in the dishwasher based on the program.

Hi Srilakshmi, once you open the carton and install the machine, I suggest you try to understand all the parts and functions and also go trough the manual. Everything is clearly mentioned in the manual. There is one Refresh program with steam option,, which is used for cleaning/refreshing dishes which have not been used for a long time. You can even select Extra Dry option along with this. You choose Turbo Express program which is just 38 minutes, which is ideal for lightly soiled dishes. This will clean the uncleaned dishes done manually by you or your maid. You can combine Turbo Express with High temperature for even better cleaning. Select Extra Dry option for extra drying of dishes. Selection of each additional option increases the time. There is a Rinse program which is just 18 minutes, this can be used before you select your actual wash program cycles. This can also be used for hand washed dishes for extra cleaning and hygiene. Hope I've been able to clear your doubts. Thank you.

Hi Anusha, hope you have filled sufficient quantity of salt. If not fill at least 700 to 800 gms salt. Secondly, what is the salt setting? Normally in new LG dishwashers there are some complaints that the salt light does not go off immediately but after a few cycles. If it still does not go after a few cycles, you can call for service if the dishwasher is still under warranty. Thanks.

Is this in your LG dishwasher? Except Quick cycles, in most programs, detergent compartment opens after initial pre rinse. So the detergent should not get flushed out.

I have a query regarding dishwasher. In the event of a power cut, does the machine resume from exactly the same point? I mean in a 2:55 (hr:min) program, if a power cut happens at 01:25, then does it resume from exactly 01:25 or from a point a little around 01:25?

Hi Anuj, honestly speaking I haven't exactly noted down from where the program resumes once it stops due to power outage or any other reason. I just have seen the program resumes. From a couple of queries from my viewers, and explanation from few others, I've come to understand that whether in a washing machine or a dishwasher, the program starts from whatever mode it was running at that time. For eg. Let's divide a program cycle into wash, rinse and dry. If the machine stops at any point of the wash cycle, i think it resumes from the beginning of wash cycle. If it stops while rinsing is on, then it goes to the beginning of rinsing process and same is the case of drying...I think even if the machine stops when there is just a few minutes left, it goes to the start of whatever mode it was in - wash, rinse or dry. Hope my explantion clears your doubt.

Hi, the white film on dishes is due to hard water. Have you checked your water hardness? If you have hard water in your area, you will face this problem. Based on how hard your water is, adjust the salt setting in your machine. I've explained about this in my previous video on "Salt and Rinse Aid setting". Please go through it if you haven't. One more thing you can do if your water is hard is to try adding ½ to 1 tsp of citric acid along with the detergent before running a program. Just try this once or twice and see if you can find any difference. Hope I've answered your query satisfactorily.. Thank you.

Hi Khushbu, congratulations on the new purchase. The number of times salt and rinse lasts depends on the setting in the machine. This setting has to be done based on the water hardness at your home. The consumption rate of salt in given in user manual page 20. Same is the case for rinse aid. Though they have not mentioned, consumption is dependent on the number of cycles and which cycle has been used. Thanks.

Hi Karthik. Burning smell is not normal. Have it checked by LG or get the machine replaced. Is there proper ventilation in the room where the dishwasher is placed? Do you have voltage fluctuation? In case of no proper service at Warangal, ask them to send someone from Hyderabad. Write on their website for better service. If the salt setting is at H4 1 kg will last only 10 washes. When I did the demo, this problem was not there. But a lot of users have complained about this functionality deficiency in the recent lot. Actually, depending on when the power outage occurs, the machine is supposed to resume from the start of wash, rinse or dry cycle. You will need to observe whether this happens in your case. Thanks.

Hi Jensi, do not go by the running time of the program. According to me Eco cycle is the most economical as it uses less water and power though takes a long time. Turbo being a quick cycle takes less time for cleaning but uses more power. Hence the increase in your electric bill. This machine has so many program options, that you can try out any of them depending on your load. Hope this helps.

Hi anusha, please add at least 1 kg of salt while refilling. Do not worry about water spilling out. Only water will spill out, not salt. Salt is heavier and will go into the compartment. So keep filling salt slowly even if water spills out. You have to add water only the first time, subsequently only salt is to be filled. I have made video in my Bosch machine. Thanks for the reply buvana garu...i used machine in turbo mode with steam high temperature and extra dry because it will take less time....after using this heatee circuit got failed...after many calls they replaced my machine atter 3months...in the new machine also i uses same mode turbo with steam extra dry and high temperature again heater circuit got failed...again aftee many compliments and many calls they replaced my machine...now i am afraid to change the mode so using only in auto mode since 4months...may i knw any solution for this....it is not possible to use in auto mode all the time which takes around 4hrs.. thanku

Hi Anusha, you should try out various program cycles with options based on the degree of soiling of your dishes and not stick to one program alone. Unless you try out you will not come know how the machine works on other programs. Your machine being still under warranty you should try using it to the fullest. Else you can always call the service.

Hi Aditya Yadav, If you have purchased the same model and have the instruction manual with you, please see page 24 in which it is mentioned that the cycle resumes when the power is restored. Actually this memory back up feature is a fairly simple one that is incorporated in the automatic washing machines, dishwashers, etc since more than 10 to 15 years now. Nowadays modern electronic circuits (PCBs) have this feature. In my BOSCH dishwasher which I am using for the past 8 years, I have seen it resuming from the same point when power returns. I have seen this LG model also resuming from where it left off before the power disruption. So please check when the power goes off the next time and if this is really missing then you could call for the service and get it checked and rectified. Thank you.

For example if in certain cycle of 60 minutes, if the washing period is 20 minutes, rinsing period is 35 minutes and drying period is 10 minutes. Suppose the power got cut when 25 minutes were remaining in completion of the entire cycle. When the power got cut it was at washing function. So when the power is back it will show 40 minutes remaining not 25 minutes. Please tell if I'm correct.

@@mathwithaditya.7445 If you mean that the countdown jumps at times or that 30 minutes for example takes more than 30 minutes, then I too have observed this. The cycle time and also the rinse time, drying time are all decided based on the level of soiling, by the electronic circuit. So at times the washing ,rinsing, drying time, etc could be longer than usual. I have seen that sometimes it would be stuck on some display (say 3 minutes) for more than 2 or 3 minutes, then suddenly it will become 1 or 0. In that sense the countdown is not linear. The last 3 minutes could take 1 minute or even more than 3 minutes. Similarly I have observed the time display jumping a few minutes straightway after being constant for a long time. But I don't think this is a malfunction as I see it happening for many years now both in my washing machine and dishwasher. Thanks.

I think this has to be chosen based on the type of utensils and degree of soiling. For most regular washing of moderately soiled daily utensils, you could opt for turbo with or without a few options. Eco is the most efficient as it conserves both energy and water, ideal for normally soiled dishes. You can use Auto and Intensive for heavily soiled dishes.
