I'm still rocking my 65" LG B8 that I bought in 2019. That thing has seen daily use of streaming apps, games, etc. No issues whatsoever, and it's still breathtakingly beautiful. IF it ever goes out, it will be replaced by another LG OLED. For my $ they cannot be beat currently, or for some time now.

I'm a huge fan, and the G3 is tempting, especially with the brightness improvement, but I'll probably wait at least 2 more generations before dropping the money to upgrade again. By then the improvements should be extremely significant and worth the enormous investments LG's OLEDs are.

I've had my 77" G3 for a few weeks now and I love it. It's my first OLED, in fact my first new TV in nearly 15 years so I was overdue an upgrade. One word of warning - whatever you do, don't launch LG Channels! You'll never get rid of it. Every time I turned on the TV it would come on, and you can't delete the app. I tried everything - in the end I reset the TV and went through the process of logging into all my streaming services... again! My viewing room has windows behind the viewing position, meaning that even with its stellar reflection handling, dark scenes can be difficult to watch during the day, but we need to get blinds in there anyway so no big deal.

@@zayzo-k3v C3 is nothing special, G3 is the real banger. LG did not put much love into C series since C9 really. G series is far superior but QD-OLED beats most. C series is not even close. I have Sony A95K 65" and my next TV will be G3/G4 or QD-OLED again. Not going to consider ANYTHING ELSE than 3rd gen WOLED (MLA) and QD-OLED.

By chance, I actually need to look at a new TV now, so I'm really considering the G3... if you will have a viewing space that isn't massively bright the C series is absolutely suitable and probably the bast option if $$'s is a concern for you. You won't be disappointed at all.... go the 2023 C3 model at minimum as it has DTS pass through added back in. This is important if you are using the Earc port for audio to a sound bar or amp.

Iam a huge fan of LG TVs but I want to see how this TV stacks up against the SONY A95L. The A95L is getting so much hype and it's not even out yet. I recently saw the LG G3 at Best Buy and its incredible. I have the LG G1, which is still a great TV 2 years later. However, if I did upgrade the G3 would be at the top of my list.

the ui is the issue for me, i have a a90j and its awsome, thats largly due to the os and ui. i hated my c1 ui and c2. this newer os looks very simular to them so for me it wasnt really a choice to go lg. i wish the os was better id have happily bought this. but webos-no thks for me.

You don't need to buy every crap that comes out, only buy what you need not what you might want. There's no such thing as "the best TV" just like there is no such thing as "the best restaurant". People have different needs and budgets. Make a reasonable purchase. There are tough times ahead and it's better not to spend too much time in front of the tv anyway.

@@DDHDTV No they don't haha. QD-OLED from Samsung won best TV last year and probably will this year as well. QD-OLED has way better colors. My A95K looks absoutely amazing and my S95B for my gaming room is unreal (PC gaming with RTX 4090 in 4K/144 Hz at 4:4:4 Chroma + PS5 on the side). G3 is the ONLY WOLED TV that interests me, MLA was needed because QD-OLED stole the show in the top tier TVs for me. Colors are vastly better + way better shadowdetail, dark scenes look amazing on QD-OLED compared to WOLED (1st and 2nd gen) but 3rd gen (MLA) improved on this slightly but still losses in terms of colors.

Honestly there's a lot of locked features still in the gaming mode for the G3. The previous models are better for gaming. Although standard content is top tier.. sadly it seems that QD-oled is this year's winner for gaming across many reviews I've seen.

The only thing stopping me at the moment is the fact it doesn’t come with a tv stand…you have to pay extra for one and Iv heard it’s not the best either (very wobbly)…and also the power cable is fixed to the tv. Hiding cables into the wall sounds so much effort…and then connecting other devices to the tv would just become a pain. I like Samsungs idea with the one connect detachable box 👌🏻

I feel with LG oled TV’s they do an incredible job with 4k hdr content, but upscaling from say the Nintendo switch just isn’t on a par with Panasonic or Sony. And the out of the box colours seem slightly off to in comparison to Panasonic also. Stunning looking tv tho pal. 👌🏻

Should have went all out in 2020 as well. Back then, I went with the highest end LCD the 65" Sony X950H, because I came from a Full HD 43 inch Tv and was barely using it. Also had a great deal at 1200 bucks and the C9 was going for 1800 back then. In store, I didn't see much difference in in picture quality but after seeing the Ambilight OLED of my friend I regretted it all 😂 also OLEDs now a lot more afforable

no G3 has worse color saturation when brightness goes up, G3 cant reach peak brightness when in Game Mode, G3 has worse uniformity when it comes to color temp resulting in a more obvious vertical banding when displaying greyish colors. No doubt S95C or A95L will be on the top but sorry its not the G3

It's obviously better and brighter, but value for money it's not worth the upgrade on picture quality. It looks the same as my C1 other than the brightness and reflection handling. Seeing the two, I'd still be 95% happy with the C1 and would have zero regrets sticking with it.

The best tv ever? I have heard that saying being thrown around Spawn about the Sony A90L, The Samjunk S95C and the LG G3. I wouldnt classify any of them as the best ever because each on has their good points and bad points. Now your going to have your arm chair Sales men here on KZbin saying otherwise but that's another story all together. And no Spawn your NOT one of those people! I have had my LG C1 since March of last year and it's one of the best investments in a tv I have ever made. I wont be parting with it anytime soon unless something serious happens to it or it breaks down and I have a two year warrantee to cover it so I aint worried about it. Now IF I was to replace it? I would go with either the LG C3 or G3. That being said. Great review as always Spawn.

10 feet is perfect for the 77”. I plan on getting the 65” since my sitting distance will be roughly 7 feet. I just feel like 77” would be overkill at 7 feet plus cable would look absolutely terrible from 7 feet with a 77’ and I still watch a lot of cable sports. G3 looks incredible..enjoy!

Currently got the LG CX 55 had it since launch and love it, but been looking at this as an Upgrade, especially for the brightness I’m pretty sold. LG just make the best OLED’s.

I just can't justify upgrading my CX only for brightness I need much more than that. I mainly use my CX in a dark room.

Nice review SP! Been watching you a few years now. Just bought the Mangus Pro XL following your review, in fact each time you do a review my bank balance gets annihilated 🤣 Also, I got a LG CX 65 when you reviewed that as well a few years back. Anyway, I just built a new pc rig, got a 4090, I want to connect it to a TV for single player games, so thinking use the current CX with the PC and get a G3 in place of the CX. My question to you is, is it worth the additional brightness on the G3 for the money? Thanks man.

You can get these tv’s from very if you catch them at the right time you can get a twenty percent discount I’ve recently got the 77G3 for 4k

@@SpawnPoiint only downside is you don’t get the extended warranty like when you buy it from a shop, but obviously it comes with a five year panel warranty anyway and I know from a previous repair LG don’t charge much for the labour

Lg cx owner , got dead pixel . I decided to by mini led tv some x93l . After 1 week I returned it and just ordered lg G3 . I was not sure if the extra corst over c3 was worth it until I go in store and compare them. I think mini led is fantastic if you never got oled before haha

Something frustrating compared to my older lg oled is the home button causes the screen to be filled, and its pointless because above the row of apps, which my previous oled displayed over the tv channel or source youre watching, is a whole load of nothing. Theres nothing to see there, just a random link to apps or.something else. And you lose what youre watching

Running on 65" E6 and for me g3 is too expensive to upgrade cos now I wanna go 77" or 83". After 6 years running 65" E6, G3 65" is not the upgrade I would wish. The size is more of an upgrade that boosted brightness
