LG G4 in 2022: Cheap but Good Camera?

Nice video. I'm using g4 for my travels around the world. Sometimes a bit slow, but I've got some weird taste for LG "vintage" top class out of production rare phones that still work (almost)perfectly.

I still have one of these put away somewhere. I'm using an S22 ultra now. But I used to be a big LG fanboy. Until my phones started boot looping. And I got very upset about it and quit using LG. Kind of sucks that they are gone now.

Great phone! S22 can take cool night sky shots. The LG phones seems good to me back in the old days especially the camera until the boot looping issue came up 🫠.

How do you capture the stars in the picture so nicely? Set slow shutter time and just hold very still?

Good day. Yes, I used the manual camera settings of the phone, 15s-30sec shutter speed and setting ISO between 800-3,000 depending on how light polluted the sky is, and I put my phone on a tripod so that the image won't go blurry after taking the shot. Thank you! 👊😀

Hi there. Thank you very much. I live in a small town/province in the Philippines where the light pollution level is low compared to cities. Many stars are visible and the sky is almost pitch black. 😀

By slow you mean it takes a fraction of a second longer than a newer generation phone?

Yes. When I take a photo, it takes some time to get saved. Most phones nowadays can snap images quickly. But I still like its camera as it can do astrophotography stuff. 😀

@@ShanesTech my point is that in reality these old flagship phones are just as good as new flagship phones at a tiny fraction of the price. I think in some ways they are actually superior. No modern phone feels as good in my hand as my LG G4. Also these older phones allow you to take more control over the processes. You can delete, stop and disable programs much easier on these old phones than you can new phones. They also come with less bloatware, as you know most modern phones come with a lot of bloatware that you cannot remove. There is a lot going on in the background of your phone that you have absolutely no control over. So at the end of the day the only thing you gain by buying a new flagship phone is saving literally a fraction of a second when opening apps. It's a racket!

The aspect ratio, size and weight of the device is better than modern phones imo. Modern phones are heavyier and narrower.

Gracias, bro. Me gusta la cámara de este incluso es lento jaja. Es triste escuchar eso. Recuerdo que LG anunció que muchos de estos teléfonos tienen problemas de soldadura de fabricación en el tablero donde los teléfonos entrarán en un bucle de arranque infinito jaja, y sólo unos pocos de ellos no tienen problemas después de que el problema fue abordado

Good day po. For better results po than the G4, I recommend po LG G6 or you can also try the G5 but it is an old device. I prefer to hop for the G6 if you can. Thank you po.

Lg V30 is much better in astrophotography then the G5.

Good day po sir. If pang backup po, medyo mabagal na po yung phone. Ginagamit ko lang siya mostly pangkuha ng litrato. Pero pag usage na ng apps mabagal na po siya tas outdated na din yung Android version. Salamat po.

For movies. Okis lang po siya. Goods din yung screen kasi malaki at high res. Pero since old na phone na sya at modern na ang apps sa playstore baka malakas na din mag consume ng battery. Thank you po. 🙌🏻
