There is a significant difference between these tvs, the panel finish. G4 has an amazing anti reflection coating, while the C4 carries the typical very glossy dark, that is actually a mirror. It would be nice if you could compare that, under daylight conditions.

@@Serena_9 I have my 65C4 on an articulating wall mount with a Sonos Arc soundbar under. I’m able to adjust the tv down and away from room light sources like lamps, windows, door, or overhead lights for perfect viewing. Harder to do with a flush wall mount of the G4. Did the same for my 77C1, 55C1, & 48C1.

@@mrgold3591 You are missing the point here. The G4 isn’t design to tilt. However, You can pull it out and bend a slight angle. The purpose of it is to stay flat, not to be re-adjusted like those regular wall brackets.

Thank you for your video. It's very informative. I have a suggestion on what might help with this disparity in the audio. If you place the TVs side by side on the floor or on a flat surface, you will get an even comparison between the two. With the G4 above the C4, I believe the sound is shooting down behind the C4 and changing the audio output. Just a thought, I hope it helps. Thank you for your help.

I have a C9, C1, and C2 OLEDs. Noticed it took around +250 hours of viewing for everything to really set in. The OLED panel gets better once broken in after that many hours. Just purchased the C4 to replace the C9 and doing the +250hrs of viewing to improve its picture quality.

Upgraded my master bedroom LG OLED 55C9 to the 65C4 (with Sonos soundbar). The C4 series is an improvement over the C9 in every category. Stuck with the 65C4 ($1500 USD) because of it was almost $300 cheaper than the 55G4 ($1800 55G4, $2300 65G4). I was reusing my articulating wall mount from the 55C9 and was 100% good to go with the C4 TV mounting points and viewing angles to limit light sources (window, lamp, door, overhead lights).

I looked at both TVs and I just purchased the C4 after trying out the Samsung 90d. I’m still on the fence for the G4 but the C4 as I’m in the return window cycle. So far the C4 is a decent replacement for my previous LG older OLED model. The C4 works great for gaming (PS5) and movies and seems bright enough for my needs.

This is actually a really good comparison, since you’re not comparing in a completely dark room. I also expected the G4 to be a lot brighter (or the C4 a lot dimmer), but it’s not that too far off. But I do notice that the G4 has better highlights and detail. But it could just be the camera sensor. Maybe it’s more drastic in person. But if people are debating between the two just for the brightness from the MLA, I’m not sure that it would be worth the difference in price. Thanks for the comparison! Did the G4 have the green tint like the C4 had?

I have both a 55C1 and 77C1. The 77C1 "appears" brighter than the 55C1 with the same settings with the much larger screen size. The savings with C-series allowed me to add a soundbar system for improved TV viewing.

The only reason I ordered the G4 is that it shows significantly more detail in dark scenes or when there is a small part of the screen where the scene is dark and still shows the details and not just the darkness. Also 55" is just 200€ more expensive right now, I've ordered mine for 1190€.

In my opinion it is not a significant difference at all. I just got the c4 77 inch recently back in September for my birthday and I love that thing. It does everything I need it to do from video games, movies, shows and sports games at a high level. I was just not willing to spend an extra 2 grand to get the 77 inch G4 when the differences are incremental at best. Good video though bro. Appreciate the comparison.

Your mad wasting your money for a tiny bit more coloure wen u can calibrate that on c4 but u wanna pay 1000 more for a tiny bit of colour and brightness lol, trust me that brightness will give u a headache with the new firmware update be careful what u wish for. C4 a wicked tv infact i have the c1 and c3 in my house and i must say c1 shows a better picture. Normally notice different with tvs after 6 to 7 years upgrade only thing u notice in newer tvs are OS firmware just runs smoother thats all gimmick. Save your self money and get the c3

Why would I get the pixel cleaning message pop up every time I turn the tv on .? I press yes to the pop up message but after 10/15 seconds my led standby light goes off and the tv won’t do nothing for hours and hours witch then I have to unplug and remove the fuse then put it back in for it to then power the tv but again the screen clean message pops back up .? I have the G4 and i love it apart from two things, the first being the screensaver doesn't kick in on the TV for over 30 minis of a paused or stagnant screen, it is very annoying so I have to always remember not to pause the TV whereas on the C range and other ranges the screensaver kicks in within minutes, my second issue is that there can be compatibility issues with in my case virgin box 360 and I had to buy all new higher spec hdmi leads because with out them they cause all manner of issues, apart from them the TV is a JOY

@@RustyDarkStone The screensaver thing on the G4 was actually added by LG on some firmware update because, literally, people thought the TV was broken when the screensaver was kicking in. Instead of educating consumers, LG decided to put TVs at risk. At some point, if that hasn't happened yet, it will be added to the C series.

In C4 it also does not have a quick protector, the light protector is activated after a long time, I think also after 30 minutes and that is disastrous for OLED.

I bought the G4 after debating not only on the price but features. At the end of the day it was worth the extra money for a way better picture, panel warranty and processor among other features. You get what you pay for. I waited for a great sale price and I haven’t regretted my decision on bit.

Both TVs are very nice but the G4 is about 30% better TV. So the G4 also costs about 30% more which means you get what you pay for. I have the G4 and it's AMA-A-A-ZING. I'm set for the next 5 years.

Is there 2 different brightness settings on the new LG OLEDs? OLED Brightness and Brightness? I'm only asking because the LG C9 has 2 different brightness settings. Would have been nice if you compared the TVs in the dark. Also through my 65" C9 both TVs look the same. Would be hard to show the differences through as everyone points out KZbin compression and many that won't point out the camera being used to record a screen. The only real way of doing these comparisons is to use a screen capture card.

Hey I have a few questions that are killing me (literally, I have anxiety attacks about stuff): - can any device (for example a PC, a console, Apple TV etc.) mess with your internal TV calibration settings? (for example if I set my G4 at Brightness 100, Contrast 100 etc. can these settings be reset to other values by anything other than myself?) - if I set a screen profile in Windows, can that profile be changed to something else by any application / any system update? (for example I run Windows with Game Optimiser if I play a game that game can change the screen profile to Standard without me knowing?) - is the screen profile set in Windows global for everything on the PC? For example will Windows / Assassins Creed / Dark Souls / Tomb Raider run exactly the same screen profile if I don't change it by myself? (I have HDR turned on in Windows so I guess I have HDR activated at all times even in non-HDR games -> I use RTX HDR not Auto HDR) - can my calibration settings be changed by a TV firmware update? - if I'll change my PC will the calibration settings pass over? or will I have to recalibrate the TV? - can the Energy Saver options suddenly kick in and become enabled if I disable them from the TV menu? - are the settings from the "General" tab in the LG G4 menu global for every input? Or they need to be manually tuned if I switch HDMI inputs? (for example if I disable Energy Saver in HDMi1 where I use my PC can the setting still be on On in HDMI2 where I have my Apple TV device?)

If you turn off all the silly “AI” features and put Energy Saving to “off” it should not change any settings that you have set yourself. But keep in mind that any input source (hdmi port) and picture mode (sdr/hdr10/dv) has their own settings and need to be set individually

I was in a store and looked and they didn't have many tvs, but they showed the g4 83, c4 77 and b4 65. The b4 is really dim, much dimmer than my 8 year old samsung ks9800 backlit tv. The G4 is brighter than the C4 and the HDR is much better, much brighter spots where light shines and stuff while the C4 looked like it didn't have HDR in comparison. Maybe it was setup like that by the store I don't know. G4 had almost too much like its exaggerated.

You would expect that their is a significant amount of cost difference between the C4 & G4 .... Anyways for me depending on your room jts been used in or your environment the the C4 is way more than enough for the vast majority of people. If you have a bright room or a very lagre room perhaps the G4 is the way to go but to be honest the C4 is still absolutely bang on the sweet spot for me . For my needs the G4 is just far to expensive and well overkill for my ussage and large studio flat the C4 55" is absolutely perfect and a bloody wonderful picture quality coming from a previous LG 2019 55SM8600 model the C4 is a major upgrade and by far the most expensive 🫰 TV ive ever purchased its an investment hopefully to last me several years .

I just brought a 65 inch LG G4.... within 2 weeks the OLED panel has failed.... great company thanks LG.

83c4 is definitely a better choice. g4 looks blown out
