G5/G-series is a bit rich for my tastes but I am definitely interested to see if their color brightness improved this year. I want QDOLED to have to competition and have always preferred LG.

I still have my 65 inch LG C7. Still looking great but has significant burn in. Probably going for the B7 or B9 85 inch. Want to be comfortable in watching whatever content I want and to not worry about burn in. G5 looking fire though.

You beat me to it, lol. With averaged thousands of tv hours a year, I hope people like watching Alpha daily! Most have 300 to 500 dollar tvs. In fact, at Best Buy this week, I saw 3 cheap crystal tvs bought in the 12 min I was there! The next day a friend bought a tcl on sale for 250. The new buzzword of 4000 is beyond moot to the common 400 dollar tvs so many have. I should rephrase to it would be moot if they could actually hit those numbers in the first place lol.

S this LG will have a higher colour volume, maybe not quite ad OLED level but close enough for the difference to not be that noticeable anymore. Combined with great processing, deeper blacks than Samsung by a mile, and 83” size I think it’ll be a winner

LG is more than just an Oled manufacturer when it comes to TV's. Like you say, their 98 inch QNED 89 is excellent & I'm still awaiting delivery from the 29th December. Do i wish I'd waited for another 2 inch of screen size - not one iota - it's probably a HISENSE panel?

Hisense does not make LCD panels. Hisense buys them from LCD manufacturers like BOE. LG buys LCD panels from multiple LCD panel manufacturers which might include LG Display depending on whether or not LG Display has sold its last TV-sized LCD factory to TCL’s CSOT.

What about the lg monitors? Will those have pixel booster and no more mla in them. So far we seen a qd oled 4k in 27 inch size from Samsung. No information on brightness. C5 will get 250 nits fullscreen, but will monitors improve to 300 nits? Really glad oleds are finally getting brighter with new technology, looks like it can be scaled up to make them even brighter too.

The G5 will not have MLA. Vincent said it will be 2400 nits bright at 10% window, that's almost 1000 nits brighter than the G4. I don't know how they managed to achieve that without MLA? But if it really happens, it is an unprecedented progress. We'll see. It's a bit suspicious to me. Whatever. I have a C4. I took it 2 months ago. I am very satisfied with the TV. 1000 nits on 10% of the window that c4 has is more than enough for me.👌

We know that Oled TVs are able to 100% replace a monitor and are impeccable in reproducing the transparency of the surroundings while the characters move, no matter how many lights there are at one moment, details of nature and other richness of details given to us by the game creators. In fact, they work better than 144 HZ monitors but on other matrices, due to the quick pixel response. Which mini LED TVs are best for computer applications, so that gaming while moving and the quality of the environment are the best, but not in terms of colors, but in terms of fluidity and quality of the environment. And how would you describe the quality of these best TVs in percentage terms compared to OLED and a classic monitor? Just please don't compare it to playing cartoon games, but to the most demanding ones, because when you buy a TV for so much money and want to have it for years, even though we know that it is not the quality of monitors, However, we expect something really good that does not destroy the quality of the environment when playing on the move, not a consolation prize. With all this added brightness, aren't the screens just going to dim down anyway ? So what's the point of added overall brightness if the ABL/ASBL is just going to kick in anyway ? Should these TV manufacturers start shifting the focus away from peak brightness to SUSTAINED brightness ? The brighter overall Full-field White is a welcome advancement. I'm posting this everywhere. LOL. But I got an LG G4 83 inch TV on a flash sale at BB for $4,400 plus tax. I might as well keep this TV as there's no way it's going to get back to this price while I wait around to see the pricing on the new models. And there's nothing exciting this year. LG is once again pushing their fake AI Upscaling crap, that has never worked with Copyrighted Content. Samsung is misleading people with their 83 Inch TVs again. LG looks horrendous out of the box, but you have so much control over the settings you can get LG TVs to look almost like QD Oleds or however you want, really. Whereas Samsung has very limited Picture Controls compared to LG.

Everybody is getting hyped up over nothing. It's a tad bit brighter in specular highlights only AKA 10% window while still can't even achieve 400 nits full screen brightness. It will also have the same awful brightness stability that all OLED suffer from. There is nothing to be excited about here.
