Just a heads up. Sony's PS5 optimizer will always overshoot maximum peak brightness. Youll have to fine tune it. On Xbox it's easier because Microsoft at least gives you a read out of the peak brightness being displayed. Then there are certain games which don't make use of the system level calibration and do their own thing which will again require additional adjustments. 👀

I really can't wait for an actual review side by side comparison versus the U8K versus the U8N same size 65-in with all the same settings on of course to be a fair comparison I really hope the viewing angles got lot better this time around on the 65-in versus the U8K 65-in the viewing angle is all that great. Great review. Im looking at getting the 100". The U7k and U8k 100" are both $5000. I like the U7k picture.

Can not believe this but looking at each scene for brighter saturated color its about 120 to 40 for the g4 with 65 relatively even. I wanted the s95d to win and I gave it leeway at times. A very few scenes like the elephant with went to the lg because of the absurd contrast leading to detail. More then in a row looked like classy s95d vs c4 first vid almost exactly with similar underperforming results. With this content the s95D while looking phenomenal at times very clearly loses. As I kept adding tics for the lg upon close inspection was just shocked it seemed much much closer first time through but many go by very fast. Woled is by far outperforming qoled in bright and or beautiful saturated color today at a rate of around 3 to 1 for the g4. Did samsung misplace the blue?

I think I'm due for a new TV. My 5 year old Sony 75 inch still looks great but I think the new Bravia 7 is a significant upgrade based on what you have shown here. I would definitely go for the 85 inch this time.

Brian, thank you for not being a psychopath about filmmaker mode. I recently had a calibrator on AVSForum attack me and say I was "disrespecting the creator" because I tried DTM on and a custom picture mode with my new G4. I thought it actually was doing a pretty good job and giving more HDR punch and impact, but they wanted to tell me how my own $5,000 TV should be setup. I deleted my account over there. Too many old curmudgeons who think their opinion is God and the only one that matters. If I spend that much on a TV, I'll set it up however looks good to me.

At the moment the fact is just one "the price", the samsung S90c it's a 1000 dollar cheaper and it will performs almost similar, of crz the G4 is outstanding but as a consumers if I have to make a wise choice this year for a new tv capable to gaming, very colorfull and bright I will definetly considering to buy the samsung!!!!!!!

Looks like the 55” version tops at 1800 nits, where as 65 and above tops at 3000 nits.

I saw a video for the s95d saying the TV got pretty hot during very bright specular highlights and then the TV automatically dimmed. This confused me as CES they we're taking measurements of heat coming off the display and it wasn't that much. You don't think they're mixing in some second gen panels?
