how do you find the build quality my friend , a while before i bought my current phone , i did look at the V10 with intent to buy , but a few videos popped up with some problems , one i can remember the volume mysteriously going up and down for some reason , also some reports of battery life being a tad average .

mikldude Build quality is great , although i did still slap on a case just because i Didn't want to scratch the sides. Never had the volume issue. And yes, battery life during lollipop wasn't great, but after marshmallow update with doze, on idle with the second screen on , I'd say 6% battery draw on idle over 8 hours. this is when i sleep haha compared to about 12% on lollipop

Proud LG V10 user here! It's the perfect phone for me. The things I like the most about it are the durable build, HIFI DAC, and amazing camera with manual controls in photo & video mode! The removable back, removable battery, 64B internal, and Micro SD expansion are all just icings to the cake lol. It's just such a well rounded phone. I will be keeping this thing for at least 2 more years easily.

In terms of back buttons... I love volume buttons there... and thats a game changer for me right now... I would get G5 for its duo camera... but right now... Sure it's nice, fast, but... if I could "V10+" with Snapdragon 820, I would prefer it over G5

there's one thing that I never see on any videos is that you can customize any app and make it as big as you want with any picture you want to put on it. I've watched so many videos and no one has mentioned it I like to customize my screen

I LOVE the extra interface features that LG puts on its phones, the button that pulls down the notifications bar is one example, it saves you moving your thumb to the top of a big phone to slide it down, its fantastic. Also, double tap to open screen, search function in settings, customisable buttons on your notifications tab (eg wifi, bluetooth, screencap), rearrange main buttons placement, quick. memory cleanup, drag and bin app icons to uninstall are just a handle of VERY useful functions that you do not get with stock android.

Take the V10 + dual front cam + dual back cam - second screen + dual front facing speakers + keep drop protection, steel sides and removable battery + better water resistance and you have the phone to beat in 2016. Call it the V12, perhaps?

Do remove the second screen though. While nice and apart, I much much prefer dual front facing speakers a la Nexus 6p. Always on main displays are a thing now, your own G5 does it. Do not touch any of the other features, such as the DAC, microsd, drop protection, 64GB main memory etc. And fix the call drop problems people have reported. Call it the V12. V11 does not sound like anything. Or the V10 2016. This will be a fucking killer phone. Take no prisoners.

I disagree about LG's interface being bloated...I'm 40+ years old & I find all the little features (like q-slide & dual-screen) to be quite useful. Especially the quick memo & opaque calculator. I do quotes over the phone often...& it's really nice to seamlessly pull up secondary apps to take notes or do math if a client is wanting an estimate. GREAT VID guys

find it somewhat surprising that people don't like the LG skin, specifically on the V10. it is somewhat basic to what I use, Nova Launcher, but the LG skin is actually pretty decent when you compare it to other manufacturers' skins *ahem* TouchWiz.

+Victoria vigeick the g2 was full of innovation and perfection and due to it it has gotten so much attention from developers which is why mine now looks like a g4/5 :) that said the g3 & g4 were also impressive releases. not sure why they fucked up on the g5 with everything they could.... no back buttons thick bezels crap design 2 rear cameras instead of one killer 21 MP 1.6 aperture improved camera. 5.3 instead of 5.5 inch display stupid ui with all their awesome features missing. no manual video mode no dual front facing cameras which actually made sense and was cool.. no build in hi-fi DAC 2800 mah battery..... they should have made the phone a bit bigger and thicker and add a 4000 mah battery ! hopefully the v11 can fix some of those things.

I had the LG G3 and loved the design, but the phone never felt very snappy despite it being a flagship. This year I downgraded to the LG G4 stylus, which I got for £120, £20 after I sold my G3 for £100. I have to say the G4 stylus has a crappy spec: 1gb ram, 8gb storage (only about 2.5 useable), 720p 5.7" display and a snapdragon 410 processor, but in use it feels really responsive. No noticeable lag, no overheating during gaming, a nice bright display (which even at 720p still looks fine) and an excellent 2 days of heavy use battery life. I have been able to mitigate the storage issue by moving some apps to the micro sd card. LG have done a great of optimising the software on the stylus (which is on 6.0 - while my G3 was still floundering on 5.01) and overall in actual use it is performing better than my G3 did. It also has a nice premium design, with a gunmetal silver plastic back. Overall I am impressed what you can get for very little money.

I turned in my Note 4 for the V10 and I only have two very minor issues. #1, I miss my stylus though using a swipe type of keyboard has helped me make the adjustment. #2 is less battery life but again, I carry a small charger with me in my purse so no worries there either. I bought the phone initially to have as much screen real estate as I could get and I am not at all sorry. It also has a very helpful tutorial app for senior citizens like me that has been truly great! I personally love this phone. Just wish it was $100 or so cheaper.

tbh QSlide is actually quite useful once you start using it, when im in a lecture an i need to keep up with the slides on my phone and someone needs an important reply QSlide allows this perfectly, Dual window is unused altogether but ive only had my g3 a few months so once ive had it for 6 ill root it an i plan to open up the multi window so i can use any app i like in the second window, which will actually make it useful!
