I like the fact this one allows pouring in distilled water for the flush cycle vs using hard water being fed in through the tap like the Samsung combo. Maybe makes no difference but I'd be concerned about limescale buildup on the spray nozzles and coils if tap water is used enough times.

I'm currently having to replace my standpipe with a bigger one, since the old one was 1 1/2, and the washer/dryer will need a 2 inch. And once the new heat pump dryer is delivered, I'll need to seal up the hole in the wall. But then finally I'll be satisfied with my dryer! Update: Replacing the stand pipe was... quite the ordeal. I just hope my handiwork pays off and it doesn't leak or overflow.

Thanks so much for your review of this dryer! Everything you I learned from your review made it so I knew more than the appliance sales person who was trying to talk me out of buying anything LG and into a much smaller and more expensive Bosh or Miele ventless set. It fits my needs perfectly as my dryer had to move since it was under my electric panel (and against code), and having an interior row home makes it so exterior wall space is a premium and I would have had to do some major plumbing work to move my laundry to another area of the basement

I’m basing this question on on of your older videos (whirlpool refrigerator not cooling but bottom freezer works) I had major ice buildup in the bottom of the freezer, so I unclogged the drain and flushed it. However the evaporator cover in the refrigerator section is still frosting over and it seems the temperature in refrigerator is a little warmer than it should be. In the video I referenced, you touched on the fact that the sensor may be bad. What is the next course of you would recommend me taking to resolve this issue? …. Your videos are great. How is a small tube vacuum attachment (like the flexible blue one shown in this video) obtained for using inside the dryer vent housing?

Besides a small hose, you can also use a Swiffer or similar to dislodge lint in the front air duct. It falls to the bottom and is easily picked up with any vacuum cleaner hose.

And it comes back. Seems to be triggered by the following. If you interrupt a cycle and don't let it finish (Because the clothes are dry), remove the filter and clean it, and then cancel the cycle and start a new one. That's when the dryer will complain about a missing filter.

I am hoping that there is a secret way to get it into retail demo mode so the screen is on without the machine actually running. Would like to get both this and the Bespoke fridge with smart hub into retail demo, but have had no luck. Our Samsung rep seems to only be concerned with Samsung phones and doesn't put much effort into the appliances and TV's side of things. Anyone with knowledge on these, I would appreciate some ideas. There is added maintenance but the gain in efficiency is absolutely massive when compared to a normal dryer. Especially for us northerners living in cold climates. Resistive dryers cost 2-3 times more to perform the same work and once you factor in the massive load you add to your heating due to the large vented air volume, it really makes a regular dryer obsolete. 755 cycles so far since april 2024 with an energy use of 423.21 KWh which is 25.40$ and that energy usage includes the wash cycles too. No added strain to my heating bill either which i cant measure 150-200cfm per hour of runtime would make a huge impact when its replaced by -20f air leaking in

@@randomrazr Agreed... it's still "bleeding edge" tech and I don't see it being widely adopted for 10+ years at least. Needs to prove itself. Sad fact is that the more complicated, the less reliable it usually is. That and it's always more expensive and much harder to repair.
@_SurferGeek_8 ай бұрын
@@techoren512 Maybe so, but if they're (LG) estimating a 12-15 year lifespan... that's not great. Especially considering the excessively higher prices as compared to the "old fashioned" units.
