We have this dryer and it’s fantastic. Clothes come out perfectly dry every time. Her times are way off. It does take longer but not that much. Today a large batch of beach towels took about 90 minutes. Our whirlpool took about 75 minutes.

Just got this dryer a couple weeks ago and so far everything as been great! I have a row house and my plumbing was located along a party wall making venting a challenge, and the drain was in the basement slab so would have been expensive to move. This dryer gave me an easy solution to this issue, and is more energy efficient as a benefit. It does take noticeably longer than the old coin operated gas Speed Queen at my old apartment, but not a big deal to me and my clothes come put dry and the lower heat is easier on them.

best of both worlds: get a combo unit to mainly use as a washer but flexibility+convenience of a combo when you want it, and get a standalone dryer for heavy laundry days?

What is the temperature on the normal cycle?

Which GE model did you compare against? How does the dry time compare to LG DLEX6700B?

Do you have any information on the recommended ambient temperature for this dryer? My laundry room sometimes gets down into the high 50s, low 60s in the winter. Also, when the dryer is done, are the clothes slightly damp afterwards?

I have this unit for last 2 months…and it’s been a great experience. I have tried following types of laundry (1) regular weekly laundry that’s mix of clothes, towels (2) sheets +queen quilts (3) queen comforter Runtimes for (1) on an avg is 1hr 10min, consumes less than 1kwh unit, clothes come out completely dry. I haven’t felt any dampness. For both (2) and (3) the runtime was around 2hrs, consumed 1.1kwh, clothes required 5-10mins of air dry (I just spread them on a bed). The bedsheets are fine, but quilt and comforter will require more drying time. Today I tried 5 doormats (20x30 size) and behavior was similar to (1). I live in Folsom California and right now the temperature is above 90. I am yet to experience winter days, so can’t tell how will it perform 🙂. I hope it helped you.

Look up " Bens Appliances and Junk". He has a fantastic channel and reviewed this dryer 3 months ago. He said the best room temperature is 70 degrees, below 60 the drying time significantly increases. 🐾🐶🐕

The manual says ambient operating temp above 41 F

If it's winter and you are heating your laundry where does the heat come from? Its misleading to say it uses less power when the heat to dehumidify is taken from your home heating.

No....The air is recycled in a heat pump, not pulled and then removed in a vented

What would you say are the best selling/top rated heat pump dryers on the market right now?

Miele, LG, Bosch

I bought the 4,3 heat pump dryer it died after a year and LG said it would cost $1,500 to fix. I only paid $800 new😠😠😠

I only ever run the dryer overnight so the time to dry is thankfully meaningless to me

Do you have any idea what a nightmare they are to repair? Most repair technicians won't touch them. How long do they last? From what I've heard substantially less than good old vent dryers. Whether they save enough money in electricity to justify their absurdly high purchase and repair/replace costs is doubtful. If they end up in a land fill in half the time that is not environmentally friendly either. And I hope you don't mind waiting twice as long to dry your clothes.

We fix them. Thats what we do. Its brand new so its hard to know how long they last. But they will save tons of money in operating costs

One look at what is going on in Houston right now says to me do not go anywhere near anything electrical as relates to appliances unless very small and disposable. In the alternative stick with anything propane related that can be stored on site/premises

She made absolutely no mention whether this dryer will need a 240-volt outlet
@YaleAppliance16 ай бұрын
Good catch. It is indeed like all other vented fryers at 240 volts.
