It’s great that you showed so much footage of your actual use and not just stock footage supplied by the manufacturer. I also like that what you said wasn’t you just reading LG’s promotional materials. Really helpful. I’ll definitely get this projector soon. So close to Black Friday, I will wait a few days to see if it happens to have a price drop, but in any case, you can definitely tell LG that you sold me. Thanks.

I have this projector. Love and hate it. The only thing I hate about this projector is that if the remote control dies, then this projector is useless. That's why I would prefer if LG adds a screen or buttons on the projector so that when you lose the remote or it dies, at least you can still control the projector to play movies, choose settings, etc. At first, I couldn't get movies from my sd card reader using usb c, but recently I tested it and it works. Some people complain that the audio isn't loud enough. For me, it's good enough. If people have hearing problems like the way people talk REALLLY LOUD nowadays on their phones, people can hook up an external speaker. Overall, I would recommend this projector if you cannot afford a 4K or want a good full hd projector that's $500 price tag, 600 lumen, good contrast, battery built-in, external antenna, and more.

3DFX _ thanks for your comment. I use this projector in small spaces (car, truck, tent) and in one of my small rooms at home. I believe it’s one of the best small projectors that I have owned. I also use it when I bring my VR setup to show people. So much easier to carry this projector than a 24” monitor. I do wish it had better functions on screen also.

You can have it plugged in and it will charge and you can use it at same time. Also, you can charge it with external batteries while using. I’m going to post a video about that tonight.

Nice video! I have this projector and I use to mostly outside and I really wanted to connect speakers to it because it is not loud enough for our outside use. How do I do this? Do you have any tips? Thank you

I used my Bluetooth speaker and it worked just fine. You have to go in settings and choose device.

Hi great review. How short throw is it . i need a 70" screen size . could i get away with 2.5 meter or like 2.7 yards distance between projector and screen?

Sorry for the late reply. You should be able to get a 70” screen at 2.7 yards or 2.3 meters.

You can hear it but it does not bother me. Unfortunately I don’t have a noise meter to check the db. I do love this little projector. Picture quality is nice.

I have hooked it to a Bluetooth speaker without any issues. It synced perfectly. Should be the same for Bluetooth headphones.

It has to be moved for the screen to enlarge or shrink. It can create an image (focused) 13”-100”

If you want a short throw (not 4K), then get the optoma gt1080 darbee. Also good for gaming. KZbin it. I like that one too.

How is the usb-c used? Can I plug in one with preloaded videos and it will play like the regular usb? what about a portable storage device like a backup hard drive? Or does it need to be some device which is powered like a tablet/laptop with usb-c which you can play the video on and the projector simply projects?

I have not tried the USB C for movies and storage devices. I have tried the regular USB with a jump drive and was not happy with the results. I typically use a laptop or my iPhone to send video to it.

At the 600 Lumens level you only get about 45 mins. . You get more time using maximum energy savings but you are going to lose a lot of light. 600 Lumens is not a lot of light to begin with.

Frances Cruz at 10 ft back the image will be right at 100”. You would have to have a dedicated room with no lights on to see a decent image. Any ambient light will wash out the image. I tested it out for you yesterday.

I tried to use external batteries with no luck. I was hoping I could get at least 4-5 hours out of it, but unfortunately not. I do love this little projector and take it with me on trips to use in hotel rooms. If anyone has been successful in getting it to work with an external battery I would love to hear about it. Now I have not tried hooking it to a battery just to charge it. I have some with me today I’ll give it a shot.

You can use the app to control this projector, I think. I've never used the app, mainly the remote control..

Sorry for the delay in replying. I would use a white screen with a 1.1 gain. You will lose to much light with a grey screen. There are several screens on Amazon and EBay that works just fine.

I used a PD power supply from RavPower - runs for hours that way. This is the main reason I chose this projector over the BenQ gs2.

joerollin23able have not tried the Bluetooth feature. I am very happy with this projector. I use it a lot when I’m on the go. In the spaces I’m in the internal speakers are loud enough. I will give the Bluetooth a try and I’ll let you know if there is any lag.

Samuel Juarez not bugging me at all. Glad to help. I have contrast at 80, brightness at 50. Sharpness at 12. Color at 45. Gamma is 2.2 I really like this portable projector. I use it all the time.
