PS5 VRR and ALLM with LG TV supporting these features via the wireless wifi casting device from LG, whats it called ? And does PS5 connection work wirelessly ? What about connecting a PC at the same time with high bit rate out to the sound bar ? Can you feed surround sound from Cubase via the HDMI at high bit rate ? Lotsa questions. Want karaoke capability and PS5 with this solution.

May I ask how you connected to your projector? I would have to track an HDMI from the back of the room ceiling to the front of the room wall. Is it not advisable to connect via wifi or bluetooth (I have an Apple TV which has AirPlay and Bluetooth)? Would that not allow Dolby atoms or dts?

As a Swede, almost every channel on regular tv is 5.1. What is would you say the best for normal tv viewing. Don't need the "cinema experience", just news and tv shows. Sonos beam ,Q series samsung or something similar?

Tjenare! Vad har du för budget ? Om du inte är i behov av en stor subwoofer och surroundhögtalare så kan jag verkligen rekommendera Harman kardons nya Multibeam 1100! Gör ett grymt bra jobb av att simulera surround ljud och röståtergivningen är det bästa jag hört från någon soundbar vilket gör att den passar bra till både vanlig tv och film :) Men Sonos beam 2 är också ett väldigt bra lite billigare alternativ 👍

Great review thanks, I've just bought one but not connected yet (TV not coming for 2 weeks). One question not answered is a stand for the rears - I cannot find any which are compatible apart from the Vebos. The Mounting Dream ones you recommend in another video are not compatible, nor are the Sanus universals because they can't accommodate the power lead. Do you know of any alternatives to Vebos? £130 is pretty steep after all I've recently spent! Thanks bud.

I like my LG SL5Y with (bass blast) much better than the q990b, I just bought a Samsung and am very upset that it has few low frequencies compared to the cheap LG with (bass blast). Is there any way to fix Samsung? I tried all the equalizer settings in the application, nothing can add such a large amount of low frequencies as on the LG with (bass blast) - voices on the LG sound much bassier, more brutal

How do know when this soundbar had an update? How do you update it? Should the firestick be plugged into the soundbar or the t.v.

It'll tell you in the LG Soundbar App. You can plug it into either. If your TV doesn't have an eARC HDMI port and you want Atmos then plug it into the Soundbars HDMI IN Port.

I would 100% go for the Q990C. I found the Q990B to be much better than the LG S95QR in my Dolby Atmos comparrison video and the Q990C is pretty much the same.

hi i have the lg c2 and recently got the s95qr i set it up and seem to be getting most of the vocals from a movie out of my rear speakers instead of the center speakers should it be like this or can it be changed its like im using a stero and help or advice you have on this would be great thanks

Hey Georgis. It depends on the TV. If it’s fairly new and has a good processor then yes that’ll work. If it’s older or is a lower end TV then it may struggle to smoothly playback those clips.

I have LG G1 and contemplating the same thing. Unfortunately for LG,they haven’t been able beat Samsung since they both brought out their sound bars. Also, Q990b is much more highly rated even compared to Sonia arc. For me Samsung is the obvious choice.

I bought this soundbar in August, connected via EARC to Hisense U7H 75" TV. In PCM mode, dialogue is very clear from the surround speakers at low volume. It is just ok when I crank up the volume for movies but I did not get much of the Atmos "effect". I actually finds it lacking in Bass but several reviewers said it is "boomy". Music quality via Airplay is below ok (I am a headphone user and have several flagship headphones with good DACs and Amps), I am disappointed with the "Meridien-tuned" music quality. Anyone here who feels your soundbar is amazing or great, would you please share your settings with me? I am tempted to sell it away and get the Samsung instead but I am unsure now since I do not get to test them.

I have C1 65" and G3 77" C1 sounding far better than G3 even after spending tripple cost. I tested samsung soundbars with LG but actuallyn good idea is to connect brand soundbars only. Lg works well with LG tvs and samsung works well with samsung eco

I’m really liking my S95qr. It’s huge step up from LG soundbar I had years ago. Also, given my HORRIBLE experience with the Samsung 990b, I’m very happy with the LG. I had bad drop out issues with the Samsung 990B which is just pathetic for a flagship. The Samsung WHEN working properly probably was slightly better for overall “surround sound” and phantom sound from the sides of the room, but in my room just barely. Again given the drop out issues I returned and got the LG S95QR. I guess this is maybe personal preference but I actually like the sound of the LG a little better. I also think the center channel and dialogue sounds better on the LG. I will say I think the subwoofer could go lower on the Samsung but the LG can do just fine and is quite nimble as well. Overall the LG is so much better than Samsung 990b just do to it working properly! I’ve had no issues with the LG dropping out.

I had the opposite experience. Pathetic sound quality from the S95QR, so I returned it and LOVE the 990B. It's just a night and day difference between the two when it comes to the sound field and quality. I had the exact same experience with the S95QR as a popular reviewer on another channel (and he had LG send him a 2nd unit in case the first was a lemon).

I'll tell you a little secret I learned and how to get this thing to really come to life with music and movies as I am an big audio guy myself. So turn down all the speaker settings, then take bass and treble and put them to minus two. Go ahead and recalibrate the system. This will make it come to life and makes the music and movies sound so much better. Let me know how it goes for you. I'm sure you and others reading this will thank me later 😂.

If you find the calibration is having trouble reading the subwoofer move it closer to the soundbar might take a few goes but what I've told you I promise will make this thing sound awesome.

Yeah- It required an investment on my end to get the gear to as acurately as possible capture the audio as if you're sitting here. It's a win-win... you get a better sound recording and I make my money back on the equipment cost.

Think LG need to go back to the Drawing board with this one. It’s such a shame as there tvs are awesome. You can’t be charging top dollar and then shipping crap. Get the feeling the speakers are good but the software is an absolute mess. Need to get it to the original Steve Jobs standard so that “it just works!”……. Charging £1700 and then constantly tinkering with it on an app that doesn’t work properly i mean come on LG ffs 🤦‍♂️
