For anyone wondering this same question, you wouldn't need to get the stacking kit. DLEX4500B will stack on top of WD100CB without the need for any additional accessories

there are not many models of pedestals, just check the size (27/29) make sure it fits the feet

BTW LG customer service / tech support has been trying to hide this. they only want sidekick installed under a front loading washer. but in reality many combinations work using the TSTK1 stacking kit

I tried it underneath their DLEX4500B dryer and it fit like a glove without the need for a stacking kit

@dizzy185 the sidekick comes with accessories which includes screws to bolt the main washer positioned on top of the sidekick (16 screws total). While holding the button down, you take 2 screws and insert both into the 2 holes to hold down the button

Haha I came here to ask that same question. I have a front load pair with 2 sidekicks underneath each. The issue I have now is draining all 3 washers into a single drain. That adapter piece could be the missing link

After seeing this video, I bought a sidekick washer under a LG dryer, but I don't get the installation accessories shown on 0:29, most important the Power Interlock Bracket. Can I purchase it back through LG USA CS?

If you look at your sidekick (top left rear corner) where the legs of your dryer would position, you'll notice that there's a button that you can press down. This is meant for it to work only underneath a front load washer because their front load washers have "tongue" that sticks out and presses in the button when it is positioned on top of the sidekick. Since this "tongue" isn't on any of their dryers, you'll need to get 2 screws and insert it into the hole next to the button to hold it down

I wonder if I can Put little mini Furniture pads underneath the bottom floor feet that way when it's in position I can slide the whole unit out a lot easier

Do not do this, we did, it unfortunately created an imbalance during spin on one unbalanced load and split the inner drum from the struts.

I bought the Sidekick and wanted to install it under the DLEX5500V Dryer. It’s been a nightmare! I wonder why the Sidekick that cost me $850 does not come with the Power Interlock? 🙄

Called LG and was told that I need to buy this special dryer stacking kit. I was given the Reliable Parts phone number. I called that company and they need the stacking kit part number, which LG did not provide. This remains a mystery. LG support is a joke.

How do you mount under a 29" dryer?

I was wondering the same thing, Dan. I purchased 2 sidekicks - 1 for my washer and one for the dryer. Both sidekicks fit perfectly under each main unit, but the sidekick under the dryer gives an E7 stacking error, meaning the stacking switch is not depressed. The TSTK1 kit (which I can't seem to find at all in Canada) has the stacking switch bypass piece (you see it in the video above ... the grey piece that goes on the stacking switch with 2 screws). If I can find the kit or that bypass piece, I'll be golden. Worse case I'll hack something myself. What is disappointing is that before I bought the second pedestal washer, I verified that it could be stacked with a dryer and even LG had documentation promoting this (hell ... look at the video above!). Now there's no documentation - the only thing that comes close is this video and the fact that the TSTK1 stacking kit exists. I hope they find a way to make good on this now-false claim...

@@stephenkaram9951 I did the same thing (front load washer/dryer combo with pedestal washer underneath both). Easy fix for your problem. Hold down the switch while you insert two screws into to the two holes. The screws will hold down the switch. The issue I have is draining all three washer drains into one drain. I'm hoping the adapter hose included in this kit fits the Y fitting exit hole that comes with the sidekick so I can funnel the Y into another Y

Hugh Huynh only certain models of the LG washers. Check out the LG website just remember there’s two different models for the sidekick.

Sidekick is halfsize, full working and double price washmashine, it's only if you have lack of space in tinyhouse, tinyappartment, caravan etc... if you have space take standart size washmashine a lot cheaper ;)
