LG SP8YA sound bar review and set up for LG TV best soundbar for $400

I got mine 8 months ago on Amazon for a very good deal. $329.99. And it’s still pretty impressive, especially in the way of soundbar surround systems. Also, there is NO Dolby atmos supported on PS5. Sadly

Wow that's a greatbdeal you got buddy. Yeah the dolby atmos don't work on the ps5? It works ok the xbox series x but it has a delay when your gaming lol it kinda sucks but the movies work great.

@12:18 I'm sorry I have a Sony TV and I had a Sony soundbar (G700) but I wasn't too impressed so I returned it. I just put in an order for this after listening to it in store so I'll see how fluid they work with each other and report back

Hi buddy ok great thank you for watching. Yeah it definitely will work better only thing since it's a Sony you just won't have Ai sound pro but that won't matter much when watching stuff in dolby atoms anyways 👍

@@paulrakis had the bar since Monday, given me enough time to test and hear every type of content I'd be using it for, sounds great, for my needs. Connected pretty simply to my Sony TV. Sounds way better than the Sony soundbar I had before. It'll be my soundbar for as long as it works 😁

That's a great system too. For $100 more it wasn't worth it for me. Same sound, and you probably won't really hear a big difference.

Not really but they look really Kool. They do make a huge sound difference because you can hear the sound much better. From a regular sound bar system

You need the lg soundbar app on your phone to turn on the rear speakers

Set digital sound output to auto or pass through just above the earc setting

Yes set sound output from TV to Auto or just E Arc 🤔 on the TV settings. Remember depending on the movies or whatever you are streaming, you might not be in the dolby Atoms format. Did you ever find out and fix it ?

@@paulrakis I set my tv to E-arc I set pass through to auto and us tv share so it uses the tv processor to get sound to the sound bar

I have the same soundbar mated to my LG C2, what a brilliant soundbar sound is amazing and cheap too, €400 here in Europe from Amazon Germany .

Would you know why the theres a slight popping sound that happens and i can hear the base go off during use?

No not from what I'm hearing on this subwoofer. Sounds great for movies and games and just watching TV. If you are running music throw it probably you will hear some popping but thats a Natural beat since it's fast bpm.

Maybe you have many electronics around it. One big thing is the wifi routers or Bluetooth devices.

@@davidpardo2781 the wall won’t stop the interference. I had someone in the next room using Bluetooth and it was harsh. My Concrete walls won’t even help

#FALSEADVERTISEMENT Where is the set up? You already had your soundbar connected by the time you started recording this video so there was no actual walk through of connecting the soundbar to the lg g1 🤔🤔🤔

Yes it was all set up. Very easy just using the HDMI 2.1 cable. This was just a review on the sound bar. If you need help setting it up there's set up videos that you can find on KZbin.

It will still work with a non lg tv. Not all of the connection features will work like the magic remote for example.

Yes it will work fine. It just won't have the Ai sound pro feature from LG. Other then that long as your running it with HDMI or better yet E Arc it will sound fantastic

No i think it goes to 50 or 60 i never had to go up that high. System is very loud on 25 to 30 thats the sweet spot for sure.

I’ve had issues with the sub on this since I’ve bought it. Almost like the sub is non existent in bass. Any idea on my issue?

Wow really. Where do u have it placed? Mine is about 5 feet from my TV. Works great so far. When your watching a movie it should work great without changing any settings. If you're still having issues with it try to reconnect it to the sound bar. Or just play around with the sound modes

PS5 setup is harder than Xbox. They don’t even support their 3D audio tech in speakers.

Yeah I know. Everything with the xbox is weird Sony is much better with the Interface and software.
