I bought the stylo 2 one week before the stylo 3 came out, I ended up taking the stylo 2 back and buying the stylo 3. And I can say I am happy with this device. It is still a non flagship device so I didn't expect much to be much different. But I am absolutely pleased with the finger print sensor.

Just picked up the Stylo 3 after having a Samsumg Galaxy S3 for 4 and 1/2 years. Went into boost mobile today to pick up the 2 but then i decided to pick up the 3 since its newer. What convinced me to get the 3 was the processor since I game alot and also the battery life convinced me even more. Great phone! Starting to love LG more now.

I left Samsung and I had a Stylo 1 for 3 years. Worked flawlessly. I bought the Stylo 2 for $200 and returned it because it wasn't much of an upgrade. But the Stylo 3 for only $130 (Wal-Mart) (Sprint $270) (boost $180) was completely worth it. The octocore chip, 2gig ram, 1080, expandable memory up to 2TB, flawless fingerprint scanner, battery life, fast, fast, fast. It's completely reliable and never overheats. Love the stylus pen. No one else even has it. LG made a great phone and should be advertising the hell out of it. Why they don't is beyond me.

I had the stylo 1 then got the 2. Downloaded exactly the same stuff in it. The 1 slightly beat the 2 with quickness and loading. And the video clarity was better in the 1 bc the 2 had grainy black in the video than the 1. Especially with netflix, HBO, utube. The biggest diffence though was that the 2 had a dedicated antenna (2 total) for GPS. The 1 did not and GPS was extremely lagging and cutout.

had both of them and the 3 is alittle faster. LG stylo 2 has a 1.2 quad core processor and the LG stylo 3 has has a 1.4 octa core processor. The 3 is also more rounded so it looks and feels more comfortable in the hand , not as bulky.

Sauce Nation The stylo 3, I recommend. The stylo 2 doesn't have a gyroscope, the LG stylo 3 does. A gyroscope senses rotation of a phone. Without this, u don't be able to play VR GAMES PROPERLY, ONE EXAMPLE, POKEMON GO. WATCH A 360 VIDEO ON KZbin. AS YOU'RE WATCHING ROTATE THE PHONE AND YOU SEE HOW IT ADAPTS AND MOVES.THE 2 DOESNT BECSUSE OF NO GYROSCOPE

i was thinking about the stylo 3 because i can get it with 2 mos of service for 199. now the reason im going with boost is i need a hotspot and extra data i have an lg g6 with tmobile but my internet at home is spotty and i tend to go through the 16 gigs i have with tmobile the stylo 2 i can get for 149.99 with 2 mos of service. i know neither phone can keep up with my g6 but i dont want to be horrified either . your thoughts?

Sitting out this upgrade unless my Stylo 2 goes on the fritz. Waiting for 32GB ROM and NFC---the old LG Mach HAD NFC. 1080P, perhaps. I can always get a spare battery/charger combo from LG to extend the functional work time on my device, in addition to my external powerbank. As for the fingerprint sensor, it would be nice, however, not a big deal right now. I might upgrade the OS to Nougat after getting a bigger micro-SD. BTW, is the filing system the same on both? Not too happy with the storage options---keeping portable, for now. However, I cannot move anything to that partition with File Manager Pro anymore. As far as converting to expanded, if I have to do a factory reset, everything on both would be wiped out and I'd be up shit's creek. Too much of my hard work to lose, especially all my graphic creations and important financial and legal records. Using this for my computer (with a mini-Bluetooth keyboard) until I can afford a laptop..

The only real possible reason for purchasing the LG Stlyo 3 would be the next upgrade from Nugget to whatever. I love the Stylo line for Boost Mobile but I'd love it a hold lot more with 4 gb of ram an 32-64 gb of memory.

2 has been the best phone I've had. Most bang for the buck. Had to get used to carrying larger display phone - but love it now. Also had to get used to volume buttons on the back and now prefer back location over side volume position. I wish LG would just keep the 2 setup. Can't believe they didn't include NFC or more ROM in the 3. GO WITH THE 2!!!

Thanks for the info! I have the 2 from Virgin Mobile and was considering upgrading. If the 3 would have had NFC I'd have jumped. The only other things I'm considering are the gyro (although mine seems fine), the fingerprint scanner (because the lock features are a pain) and the CPU (but again my 2 holds up fine). The one thing that I don't like about the 3- having the volume rockers on the side.

The 3 has a adreno 505 which is double the performance of the adreno 306 that the 2 uses. The 3 only uses 4 of its 8 cores at once @1.4ghz vs 1.2ghz the 2 has. Both at 720p. So expect a massive improvement in games.

I had to go with a Stylo 2 after I broke my Note 3. . . such a horrible placement of volume and power together, hate it. other than that I must have dropped the Stylo a couple dozen times and it's so light it just skips across the pavement like a leaf in the wind.

I'm more then likely jumping to Metro PCS from Boost Mobile soon. I'm probably gonna get the two lines for 80 unlimited LTE plan and hopefully can get both the Stylo 2 Plus and Z MAX PRO!! Honestly I don't see all that much difference between the Stylo 2 Plus, Stylo 2 and Stylo 3 to warrant getting the Stylo 3 over the other two other then the 3 comes with Nougat 7.0 out the box. Plus the Stylo 2 Plus and Stylo 2 just look better design wise then the 3.
