I think neither of them sounds quite accurate, the airpods having boosted high-mids and the lg's having a little dip in de mids, but both sound great and can probably be tuned to sound better with an EQ. Bass is too loud on both to be accurate but that's also an easy fix and a common problem with in-ear headphones. I'd say out of the box the airpods sound better for most music, but if you listen to a lot of electronic music you might prefer the lg's

Well, I got the LG FN7 as an addition to my Airpods pro for running/trailriding. At first I was not so impressed by the sound from LG, but as all speakers, you should "run them in" and I'm really in love with these airbuds, especially since they are on offer here in Norway for USD 70!

Best review I’ve found on these earbuds. I bought my FN7 from Amazon, the US model, and bought the FN6 for my wife bc there were no white FN7 available at the moment (and she doesn’t really care about sound quality tbh). To let everyone know: the FN7 US model DO NOT HAVE UVnano charging case, only FN6 do have it; it is not that big of a deal for me, but the marketing LG has done can be a bit deceiving in this regard. Another feature missing in the FN7 is the ability to adjust the ambient sound volume, a feature the FN6 do have and might be handy. I have noticed an overall better quality sound in the FN7, with better bass and a more premium sound than the FN6, which do not have bass at all. The FN6, however, can get quite louder than my FN7 (did you get a similar experience?). Before these 125+ dollar earbuds I bought a pair of 30 bucks soundsoul xfree, or something like that name, and those have better bass and can get loud without any distortion, they lack ANC and all other cool features like notification and messages reading and such, but if you only care about sound it is a good idea to give those cheaper options a try. I prepare fn 7 over airpods pro as I liked balanced sound than bass even though it 6 mm driver is small but Meriden has work on it very well . The ANC is very good and ambient mode is another wow feature . After watching your video I found helpfull and i will surely buy fn7 .

Commendable work in comparison, never seen sort of great endeavor so far 👏🏻 Honestly, I like Airpods Pro much better than the LG in your listening to music test as Airpods sounded more punchy and TF sounded a little compressed, even Airpods's ANC was much better than the TF and in on-call comparison, Airpods sound was more clear and audible. Proud to have Pro.

Apple has insanely clean highs and vocals. Free's are a little muddy with immersive but treble brings them closer. Good thing I dont care about vocals since trance is about drums and bass :) just bought a pair of lg's for 110$, because lg is running a promo for tv+fn7 and they are being sold cheap

The bass on the FN7 is slightly more defined. There is a noticeable (to me at least) overall sound improvement with the FN7 - but the FN6 sound good too.

I found the bass quality in the fn6 really poor :(, even with the bass boost preset eq profile. Moreover, in order to make them sound better, I keep on touching them and accidentally activate/deactivate functions.

Great and thorough review, thanks. Maybe use a more neutral piece of music for the sound test. Everybody knows how drums, guitar and bass guitar sound. Synths and autotune is much harder to get an idea of the sound.

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

If you're happy with the LG's and the price is right I'd probably just get another pair! I do like the ANC on the AirPods Pros - and switching between Apple devices is so much easier with Apple earphones. If you're not doing that, there's less benefit IMO.

If you've tried all the included ear tips - I'd check how you're inserting them in your ear - they is a slight technique to it with a twist towards the bottom of your ear. But maybe they just aren't a good fit for your ears - I've had earbuds like that before.

I have these. Good sound. Everything is excellent except it lacks a little bass. One major downfall is the eartip fit. The eartips are really wide and slip. Also the plastic ear canal piece that holds the ear tip is also a little short/ and too wide. This all culminates to these buds constantly falling off. This could be remedied by using a different tip but using a different tip causes it not to fit the case. It's Real Shame, I loved these. Also if you lay down on your side with them the connection becomes unstable

The trouble with ear tips is it so much depends on the shape of your ear. I find these ok in my ears - but many with a similar design fall out.

Still really like my AirPods Pros for day to day use.

Yes they are pretty good. Most TWS earbuds are like this though - even the AirPods Pros can only pair to one device at a time. It's just that the AirPods are clever about switching devices - if you have other Apple devices.

@@TheTechnologyMan My Aftershokz can pair with 2 devices (usually my phone and iPad, but sometimes my laptop and phone). Either device can play audio, but not both simultaneously. I’ve got so used to it that I guess I take it for granted 🙂

@@henryjtodd I believe it's a limitation of TWS earbuds - they don't support a multipoint connection since they use one connection to pair with each other. That's why Apple, and Samsung have some form of fast switching instead.

I found them ok - also check the prices - LG often reduce their prices significantly.
