I have the same washing machine and it is leaking at the top as you mentioned yours is. You said you were going to do a separate video for your leak at the top. Did you do it? I can’t find it. Thanks

Mine turned out to be the water inlet valve which looks easy enough to replace so I got the part but I have same exact WM you have and all the videos showing how to replace have that control panel on the back which is how they fixed there’s. Well I can’t seem to get that back part of ours off see only 2 screws but not budging. I assume there are pop off clips to remove it but I am like baby Huey and when I assume and go yanking on things I break lol. Is there a secret to removing that cover

What size drain pan are you using?

Hi Randy, I'm having a leak issue with the same LG top loading washer. Since it's also making a lot of noise when draining I think it might be the pump, do you have a video on how to fix that problem?

Sorry I do not.

can you show that second video and where your leak was actually at, I think I have the same problem
@TheRandyMan2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I did not make the other video, but the issue was a water supply line that runs around the top left of the washer gets clogged. I disabled the relay that feeds that line since it was not needed. Best of luck.

@@TheRandyMan was that the line to the bleach tray on left? If so, did you just disconnect the valve in back?

Randy, where is your second video, I need to fix, what I believe is the same problem you experienced. Can you help me out please?
@TheRandyMan5 жыл бұрын
My problem turned out to be where the water comes out of the bleach dispenser. In order to fix it I actually disconnected the solenoid that pumps water up there. You can try and do that if you are comfortable or you can try and clean where the water comes out to see if it resolves your issue. I never made the second video. Best of luck to you.

@@TheRandyMan BTW - I did not mean to sound demanding if it came across that way . . . but thanks, I am hoping that wll fix my problem as well.

Where’s the drain option on these? To just drain a washer full of water?

The possibilities I can think of for leaking on draining are: 1.Leak at connector that's sealed to bottom of tub (hose going to pump connects to it); 2 Bad (leaky) connection of a hose to bottom of tub (which hose goes to pump); 3.Leak in hose from bottom of tub to pump; 4. Bad connection of that hose to input of pump; 5.Drain pump internal seal to its rotor shaft bad; 6. Bad connection at output of drain pump to large corrugated drain hose; 7 Leak in corrugated expansion hose (the one that leads to house drain/pipe) My leak appears to be maybe #1, the actual connector at the bottom of the tub, so I wonder if anyone knows of a sealant that could be applied OVER the seal of that connector to the tub, which might stop leaks coming out of it?

This video would have been 100x more useful if you showed viewers how to take off the white plastic piece where the hose is inserted into washer. Looks simple as there is a screw and you think “oh ok I can just screw it off”. Wrong. Took screw off and plastic part won’t come off the metal frame and it’s holding this damaged drain hose hostage and won’t let me remove it.
@jenniferlynn21082 жыл бұрын
Not at the pump but the plastic part with the hole allowing the hose to pass through it.
