I personally love the V60, one of the most underrated devices of this year. Everyone seems hell bent on all phones having the higher refresh rate displays. LG focused on giving the consumer things they actually need.

I keep trying to spell it out to people. For nearly the same power draw you can have smoother scrolling in your app drawer, or a whole second screen. It's not sticking. Techies are insufferable.

I don't think a lot of people know that you can make your phone feel just as fast as a high refresh rate screen simply by going inside the developer options and lowering the animations. That's what I do with my phone when I get it. Majority of people couldn't care less about the high refresh rate, I would take the bigger battery any day.

Couldn't agree more. People still forgot that only a handful few apps can go beyond 60Hz. I do lament LG's decision to go for FHD+ resolution for the V60, but it does show its strength in battery life.

I love my V60. One simple thing that I wish I could do with the dual screen is have a 2 page ebook reading experience. Kindle app optimized for dual screen for the Duo, so I'm hoping that carries over to other dual screen devices soon.

Are you in the US? I'd guess it's your strange market, and that the network companies have so much power, that causes such problems, not LG's fault. Meanwhile I'm using a Korean unlocked V50 in Europe with zero issues.

@@nikoolix Honestly, I can't blame it all on network companies. LG doesn't have to accept carrier only deals, and can sell it unlocked like they did with LG G8x, but they choose not to. It's a shame too because some carriers like Verizon mark up the price even higher with their 5G branding.

Got the Wing a few days before my trip to Universal Studios. Loving it so far (on week three). Video recording in the gimble mode was awesome and it got a lot of looks and people asking about the phone. Something I wasn't expecting was the phone didn't overheat while running gps and Apple music on a 13 hour drive. If you want any videos/pics let me know how you would like them sent. P.S. I also have a V60, I agree it is more powerful, but am preferring the Wing for everyday use so far.

I currently have the v60 with the dual screen and I've taken mine off completely. The reason being, it's too heavy and impractical when on the go. If you're someone who has constant focus on their work and doesn't move around too much then the v60 is for you. But a stop and go type person especially someone like me who's always on the go, the v60 lacks in that department. I also wish that the v60 got an update where you can have more native google app support like being able to scroll through comments and suggestions when in landscape on the v60. having the ability to customize and have the v60 have a quick tools feature for apps that require alot of shortcutting. Also, I hate the fact that LG doesn't get the support that it usually receive from lg themselves and other content creators who can make the v60 duel screen a better optimized additive

LG V60- is an amazing phone. (Wide mode app. is a game changer 🙌 ) I bought 2 of them, both for my kids... Each of got a different accessory 1 kid got the Wacom stylus. The other got premium high end 🎧. I recommend the LG V60 to ANYONE buying a phone in 2020

I've had the LG Wing for about a week now and it's very interesting. I like the way they implemented the extra screen. My only hope is more app compatibility with the smaller screen. I was disappointed to find out spotify doesn't work on it and that's my main music app. I also hope they allow 4k recording in the t shape setup. I wouldn't care if the gimbal software didn't work, but i like the feel when recording more so over it closed.

Another thing to note is I've read people having issues with the v60's hinge and not always being able to get it replaced...instead having to buy another $150-$200 case. As well as having to wait two or three months for another one, if they are able to receive a replacement, due to supply issues. Great video btw as always.

And just switched to wing this weekend love them both. But v60 hinges broke on double screen. So had to use it in single mode. But love this wing so far..

My LG Wing took me two days to activate it and set it up. I played the race car game that came with it, so cool. I checked out the camera, zoom only works with phone closed and boy dose it bring objects much closer for a picture shot. I also tried some photos with wing open, lots of amazing stuff it dose. my LG Wing didn't come with a key to open the drawer for the SD card so I made my own wire key to pop the drawer open to put my SD card in. this phone weighs much more than my other android LG phone so I just need to get used to the extra weight I guess. all in all I am so glad I got this phone as it is great to have as a Entrepreneur for business. The front protector I applied to the phone was a little bit of a challenge but got it on. The carry case states you can drop your phone 15 feet in the air to the ground and it will be protected. Well I'm almost 6 feet tall so at lest I know if I drop my phone out of my hand to the ground where my feet are it wont get damaged . I ordered the carry case and lens sheet protector through Verizon with the LG Wing phone. I also got the wireless charger dock that my wing phone can charge on with the thick plastic carry case phone protector .

Textra is a fantastic texting app...so much richer than anything out there. It's free, but if you like it, slip the developers the $3 bucks for the Pro version. the Pro doesn't give you any additional features...but I'm sure that the gesture to the developers is greatly appreciated.

My first LG Phone that got me Hooked on LG was the At&t E980 LG Optimus G Pro. Used that phone from 2014 to 2018 & then I got a V20 & V30. Still own all 3 plus now have a T-mobile LG V60 Dual Screen. I am actually now thinking about still getting a LG Velvet and or Wing or both to add to my collection because why not lol 😂 Btw I just charged up the batteries on my LG OGP last week & thinking about installing a Android 6 custom ROM on it just for fun. At the time the OGP was a Note 2 killer but the Note 3 then beat it. I still own 2 broken screen LG G2 phones that my wife broke. Maybe I will repair the screens along with her broken Nexus 4 screen to see what custom roms are available to install. I also had 2 G5 phones for my daughter & son but they broke both of them. My daughter dropped hers in her school parking lot and it got Crushed, my Son chucked his at the wall when he lost a video game match & destroyed it. Also I currently have the LG G Pad X2 8.0 Plus foe about 4 years now. I use it along side my Samsung Tab S6 & Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus. The LG is easier to hold & use plus it has the Plus Stereo Speaker Battery pack that gives it a Boost of power plus greatly stereo sound. The Tab S6 is great for watching TV & News on because of its excellent Screen. The Amazon Fire 8 HD Plus is good for reading books & for Bible study use with Apps such as Logos. My 5/7 yo kids use the Amazon Fire HD 2019 10.1, They used to use the Tab A 10.1 2019 until they broke it, Good thing I only paid $19 on a walmart YMMV clearance deal. I am also considering getting the LG G Pad 5 10 in tablet just to add to my LG collection but the only downside is that it is gonna be stuck on android 9 just like my other LG tablet is stuck on Android 7 because LG offers no support for their budget products unlike samsung. Also the G Pad is using a 4 to 5 yo SD 821 or 822 processor. My LG V20 has a 820 & that came out in 2016. Well that is my LG story.

I have rocked the V60 for about a year and just switched to the Wing. Let me tell you why. LG's side folding concept looked good on paper and worked great for a while, but it is delicate. It slowly destroys the USB-C port on the phone. Not even kidding. after while you get random disconnections on the secondary screen which is annoying but soon it becomes unreliable and it also becomes difficult to charge the phone even when undocked from the second screen. You also have this tiny adapter that connects the bottom of the secondary screen case to USB-C, and those plugs break all the time. List price is nine bucks but if you look on Amazon and elsewhere people are selling them for 50 bucks because they're failing all over the place. I would assume that the second screen version of the Velvet would have the same problems. I know for a fact the side folders made prior to the V60 have these issues. The only way I was able to keep my V60 alive with no second screen at all was by wireless charging and pretty much pretend it doesn't even have a usb-c port anymore. The Wing is a way to get the same level of multitasking without those failures. I have a business case use for a dual screen phone setup. I'm a long haul trucker and I have to call in to freight brokers for loads and when it's busy, getting a load is a lot like winning a radio call-in show. So I need to keep the load details on one screen and the dialer on another. For me the Wing is a fantastic solution but you have to be aware that it has two completely different user interfaces and modes of operation depending on whether it is swung open or not. The way Google supplies Android, it has no way of dealing with a two screen phone of this sort with two different screen sizes. So LG had to build their own complete user interface for dual screen mode. It is not as polished as the stock Google Android user interface. It's not terrible and it's easy to adapt to but you have to have at least a little bit of geek chops in you to cope. But if you're ready to deal with that learning curve and you have a real use case for a multitasking monster, this is the answer.

Any headphones should improve a little thanks to the better source. The main benefit imo, is the better amp. Headphones that normally take a ton of power can be driven really well by LG phones. Nicer studio cans for example. I tend to stick with recording brands like Sennheiser, Audio-Technica, Beyerdynamic Sony, etc. Anything over 80ohms is going to start sounding a lot better on an LG than it might on another phone.

Bro I just picked up the wing. Upgraded from my G7 Thinq. It's worth every penny considering. The generation upgrade. The Wing is the Better option. My opinion the multi tasking is unparalleled.

If I have the money, I'd definitely buy both. But if I only have to choose one, my vote definitely goes to the V60. Yes, the Wing 5G swivel screen is great for mobile vlogging and social media live streaming. But since I need to run multiple apps at one time, I'd definitely take the more productivity-minded DualScreen case.

Well... coming back to this video in August 2022, I DID manage to get both of them... sort of. Unfortunately, the V60 was too big for my liking, so I ended up getting the V50. I definitely don't mind with Snapdragon 855 as it is still plenty powerful in 2022 and can easily go for the next two or three or even four years time. As for the Wing, the gimbal stabilization with its full manual control already wins my heart. If only Vivo and ASUS can offer such functionality for their flagship phones with gimbal stabilization.

Have you discovered a trick to keeping the gesture based navigation active on the V60? I'm using nova on the main phone, enabling gestures navigation, but every now and then it switches back to nav buttons when engaging the 2nd screen. Not a real breaker but a minor irritant. Have you encountered this?

NERP! It switches back on me too. I don't think it'll stick any time soon. Even Android 11 seems to make this even flakier for custom launchers.

Who is getting that Verizon deal? My sales person said there is a promotion where I can buy one get one almost free depending on what I get. He also said I can get one of each and still get the promo! Switching now! My brother is getting the book one (v60) and I'm getting the wing cause it has that wow factor for me. I can use the extra space!
