You guys are such a rarity these days. I work at a dealership, but I wouldn't buy a car from another dealer only because of the fact there are so many techs out there that just don't care about what they're doing. They have no pride in their job and that is very disturbing. The fact that you share so many tips and techniques with the general public makes these videos that much better. I'm dying to get my RSX Type S in for the K24/K20 swap and I know this would be a great video series. I too am extremely OCD and I love the ultra-clean work and attention to detail I see in every project and every normal maintenance job you guys tackle. Happy New Year to you all and best of luck to George with the truck also:-) Looking forward to the exhaust and piping on the NSX!!

I wish I could work for you guys! I have this ocd thing too and I just want to take care of every car I work on and add my own personal touches here and there. Brian Thanks buddy. We are pretty booked due to people wanting someone that cares. It’s a shame that people have to pay and get terrible care of their vehicle. On the topic of TLC, any chance you can find a solution for the cold start grind issue on the k24 motors? I’ve read it’s the VTC actuator but appears to return after time with the stock Honda parts. Being in Florida I know this will be hard because it doesn’t get cold there, but I’d love to hear what trusted Honda guys can find. For reference I’m driving a 2015 Honda Civic Si. Thanks John & George. I love how much you care. It truly warms my heart. I’ve said this in the comments a thousand times but I really wish I lived closer. My wife’s TSX needs some LHT TLC!

@LHTPerformance
@LHTPerformance 5 жыл бұрын
fast02gt Well, you have to decide what your long term goals are and how you want it to run. I would do the heads, cam, valve springs, rockers, long tube headers with X and tune. It will do 450-475 with a cool lumpy V8 sound. Or, so an A and A supercharger on the stock motor and do 500-550whp with room to grow. If your into road course, the first option would be better.

John, what about doing the throttle body coolant bypass? I have a bigger throttle body on mine and I was curious if you think there's any benefit on a stock throttle body.
@LHTPerformance
@LHTPerformance 5 жыл бұрын
DirtDude117 We have tried larger throttle bodies, We have them in stock also. There’s very little gains. With our larger intake manifold and throttle body combo, there’s only 10-15whp gain at the 450whp range. I hate to sell the things that don’t work. I’m not all about sales.
@DirtDude117
@DirtDude117 5 жыл бұрын
@@LHTPerformance I meant more about the Coolant Bypass so you do not run coolant through the throttle body and it doesn't raise IATs or have those hoses routed like that. It's more of a warm climate modification to clean up the area.

LHTPerformance always :) also, sent you guys an email about 2 weeks ago about getting a quote for a KW SC with the bigger blower like the white S2 making 470. I’m the guy with the 06 engine into the 05 and finally got it running :)

They used a screwdriver to take the center cap out?! Those godless heathens. oof. they didn't put in oil. either. that's awful. my civic does not have an idiot-light for the oil. I could've started my car up and driven a few miles without oil and wouldn't have any idea. you know until the engine eats itself.

Kevin S. It’s sad to see something that gets damaged to save a minute or two. I will never let my car be serviced by someone that’s chasing time.
