Seeing two Americans taking Taiwan’s college entrance English test is so interesting . However , the 27 question I think it is too grammatically that probably no NATIVE SPEAKER will speak like that...

@@Mesroooov It is exactly correct while ur point of view starts with learning. However, as a college entrance exam, irregular sentences are often used so dat da exam seems harder while other countries try to take it as a reference for themselves college entrance exam. So dat's actually why

I recently heard a rumor that the new SAT is no longer harder than these Taiwanese college aptitude tests, and even students who scored a 12 or 13 out of 15 on these exams can score high on the new SAT. Why not just make it something more similar to the SAT then? These questions honestly sound more like tongue twisters, and are probably worse than any improper grammar as no one understands the sh** it's talking about.

@@andromedaperseus954 well I took the new SAT last year and the newest Taiwanese university entrance exam just two months ago. I can tell you that our exam is nothing like the SAT. it's just way too much easier. Any Taiwanese high school student can easily get 14 or 15 if they spend time memorizing vocabs, which is what all of my classmates do. it also doesn't really test anyone's reading ability because the questions are so straightforward and predictable. on the other hand, the SAT is much more focused on identifying the technical parts of each passage(tone, rhetoric etc) and formal usage of grammar.
This wood is one of the factor to cause the fire.這樣的描述可能比較合理。

"That" of the hand refers to "the size" as a pronoun. Since it is singular and uncountable, "that" is the best choice. It is not "some of the hand" remains normal; it is "the size of the hand" remains normal.
没道理, Coming from British English background, most of the question does not make sense to me. I feel that ACT and SAT are more for the America colleges. I would have failed badly if I were to take those. For question 27, what megan's explain make sense because you describe hand as a whole

As an american, I suggest you take the "College Entrance Exam" not in English, but in Chinese about the same level, so that you could understand better how the taiwanese students feel when they're taking the test.
I suggest you search on the web the concept of “chain of causation” in law. Then that way, you would somehow understand why some people would say foggers “can” cause a fire. Note that can does not mean must or will, it means by implication it can cause a fire with other conditions present. It doesn’t mean that it can itself cause a fire.

Well, I think "that" refers to the size of the hands while "some" refers to some part of the hands. Yet, since it's a grammar test, B is more preferred to C. If the author meant some part of the hands is magnified, then there would be the word "part" in it.
I watched 阿滴 video before coming here haha. I also chose for #27 some as the answer but the answer is that after it explained. 我也是跟Pierre一樣中文不好但不要怕說錯。我以前也當過英文老師要鼓勵學生說。Keep it up Pierre!
A lot of English sentences we teach and learn here don't even make sense. They are grammatical but native speakers don't speak that way. This is one of the reasons why many students here know how to get good grades in English test but don't know how to use this language properly.
