@user-yc3mq2wm3v Well, Days of Future Past makes me cry every time, begging Mystique to drop the gun. And emotionally, that's far more complicated. Many movies have touched on parental sacrifice to make audiences cry. Look at T2. But no one wants to look past their hatred for Jennifer Lawrence and see the masterpiece that Days of Future Past truly is

It’s such a shame that tears and showing compassion are so often viewed as evidence of weakness.
@DoremiFasolatido1979
@DoremiFasolatido1979 Жыл бұрын
@@JohnWelsh-oz3jz Everything is a weakness...if you can exploit it. That's all anything really is...can you exploit it, or not? That's how all living things operate. Even cooperation works that way, but in a much less narrow way. It's all about who you can exploit, and how permitting yourself to be exploited can also be a gain for yourself. That's about as far as it all goes. Everything aside from it is bullshit window dressing our "higher" brain makes up to fill in any gaps and keep us going. And that's it. Sometimes you're the scorpion, sometimes you're the frog, and the only determining factor of which one you are at any time, is blind stinking luck. Every living thing will always try to be the scorpion when they can, though. Anything that doesn't...generally doesn't live. That said, none of that is rational. It's all instinct, not logic. And instincts distort perception, so everyone believes that emotions are the best solution to things like the problem of evil, when actually logic is the only viable path to true altruism and beneficence. But no living brain is capable of that. They're all hard-wired to be instinctive first, and then merely dress up the outcome to APPEAR complex and rational. But it never actually is. Consciousness doesn't exist. It's just a trick of perspective. Everything is a weakness, in a world of nothing but beasts...and humans are nothing but beasts. Nothing. At least...for now.

When this aired it felt like the end of an era Hugh Jackman was to Wolverine what RDJ and Chris Evans were to Iron Man and Captain America. So the movie felt more of Hugh’s initial swan song of leaving the role of Wolverine. An actor who brought to life such an iconic and well known character. It was so hard to watch knowing Logan’s past a man who suffered a lifetime of pain and loss only to see him so broken and at his lowest. The X-Men his family are dead, he is one of the last of his kind as mutants are all but extinct and he is wasting his life protecting the one person he still has left a senile and destructive Xavier. But in the end he fought not for himself and not for the death he craved after having so much of his life being pain but he fought for Laura, for the children for the hope they can survive in a worthwhile future. Logan has always been a soldier a warrior without purpose and he fought to end the organization that made him into the weapon he is so people like Zander could never use his abilities for evil again. And in his last moments comforting Laura as his life faded Logan was at peace knowing his legacy would be a positive one.

This is and end game are by far my favorite marvel films of all time. I value when a film can make you feel emotional, take you through things in your own life where you just can’t help but have a reaction. Logan had a very tragic and painful life, he struggled with not wanting to live for a good part of the end. But I’m glad he kept on. My father struggled with the same thing for a long time. Back in may we lost him to suicide. Whoever is out there and needs affirmation that you belong here, believe me right now you have so many things to live for, and people want you to be here. Just stick around please

As far as I was concerned, Logan was the end of the X-Men franchise. I know they had a few films after this one but in my opinion the saga concluded here. With Deadpool being sort of an epilogue! Same thing with avengers: endgame. If they would’ve ended the MCU there, I would’ve been fine.

I love how in the movie everything about it payed homage to X-Men and even though Logan wanted nothing to do with it, he still had the fight and spirit to fight for his daughter and the next generation of X-Men! This movie was everything an old school fan wants in a movie... they passed on the torch to others in an amazing way! We are all sad for Logan’s death but happy the kids are the new generation of X-Men even professor X knew that and he died for that idea! Love the movie and love your reaction!!!

The "so this is what it feels like..." line is so powerful because he's feeling both mortality and what it means to be a father, and a father dying before their child. I'd like to think that despite the bleak tone of this movie, he probably found more happiness in his few moments of fatherhood than in the 200 years of misery that came before it.

The reason behind why he is old in this movie which shouldn't be possible as his regeneration ability won't let him age meaning he will live forever. This ain't happening because of the adamantium in his body. Its a toxic substance... so his body/power has been constantly healing himself from that toxicity. But with age(he is literally more than 200+ years old) his power has weakened hence the ageing and the inability to heal fast like he used to.

Easily Hugh Jackman’s best role and a role many love. Fun fact about Laura- her character wasn’t born from the comics but from the animated show X-Men Evolution. I recommend checking it out it is really great. Laura was just a character for a few episodes but the fans loved her and she got added to the comic world. After Logan died she became the New Wolverine. Which it will be cool if Marvel decides to make a movie for her.

Small life hack with the sunglasses comment, wearing them while raining - if you have not overlay dark (and most important) polarised sun glasses, they actually make it easier to see in the rain as the polarisation reduces the incidence glare from the rain drops making them less visible. I often drive with polarised sunglasses for this reason... though highly important that they're not so dark they make driving dangerous! Tihs movie hits hard, I remember seeing it at the cinema basically knowing Logan wasn't going to make it and still tearing up. I think End Game was the only other Marvel movie that made me tear up so much

Only time I was in a limousine was when at my grandmother's funeral. The four of us who were the ones carrying her casket rode in the limo. It's just a car, but with two back seats facing each other and a bit of extra leg room. For all the hype, it was quite normal and underwhelming. If you've been in the back of a newer cleaner taxi cab, then you've had a more luxurious ride than you would in the limousine I rode in.

James Mangold made a nearly perfect film in my opinion. The writing is unbelievable, all the things he incorporated into this adaptation is mind blowing! One of my favorite creative decisions was to have Charles’ seizures cause his powers to injure people and kill mutants. He killed the X-Men and couldn’t remember, but before he dies he figures it out which is why he says to Logan (really X-24) “I think I finally understand you.” Logan had been trying to get the Sunseeker to keep Charles away from everyone and to hide the truth he knew would destroy the man who helped so many mutants in his lifetime. Family really was the theme of this film.

You see I’m an early 2000s kid and I remember at the time seeing the first X-Men movie and witnessing Hugh Jackman as wolverine at the time when I was a kid it was some of the most Dopest shit ever. No matter how good or bad a X-Men movie was Hugh Jackman was always perfect as wolverine. And to see it end like that for me it was sadness but also bitter sweet because at the same time he went out as a hero.

If you like the girl that plays Laura is in a show called His Dark Material. At his point there are 2 seasons and a 3rd on the way. The one thing that gets me every time I see this movie is when Laura says daddy for the 1st time at the end of the movie. I either cry or well up when I see it. I feel like the combination Professor X and Logan dying to save the little mutant kids.

saddest line in the whole movie to me is when Wolverine tells Laura "bad things happen to people I care about".

I hope your dinner plans went well. Charles seizures caused the death at the School. Hence why Logan kept them secluded. In the comic it was Logan who killed the students. Mysterio used chemicals and illusions to trick Logan into thinking they were being attacked. Then Mysterio dropped the illusion so he could watch them bleed out.

A solid 3 cry movie - a gritty, violent and emotional climax to the story of The X Man.

Riding in a limo is riding in a long luxury car. Bench seats along the sides... maybe a mini-bar included. The novelty wears off quickly.

You really need to watch Everything Everywhere All At Once. It's such an amazing movie. I'm an 80s baby and have seen so many movies and so many held a special place in my heart and this in one viewing dethroned them all. It's the first movie I've ever seen where I would literally throw hands if it didn't win an oscar.

As much as I love and respect Logan as the most raw and mature superhero movie ever made, I think Days of Future Past is still the greatest superhero movie I've ever seen. Its emotional, mature and fun. It has a lot more repeat value. I maintain that Days of Future Past is the greatest X-Men movie we will ever see and Logan is the best movie about Wolverine we will ever see.

Saw this as a stand alone movie , never having seen any Wolverine films . But it was such an incredible movie by itself . I'm not much of a Marvel comics person , but this movie was incredibly moving . I think a sequel was planned , but taken out by the pandemic . Anyway -- Dafne Keen went on to star in another great series - 'His Dark Materials' from the books by Phillip Pullman . Could definitely recommend watching it ! -- Have watched three of your reactions -- and you are now -- far and away my new favorite 'reactor'.
