I am referring to their effort to the point of showcasing grappling submission - which, let's be honest, not really pulling revenues YET, so I approve that regardless of sales, they still make those matches part of the event. I watched all ONE events in Manila too from the very beginning til the last one before the pandemic happened. And Manila shows are some of the most packed. So I know how they sell.

Must have been a huge psychological damage for Muangthai. When he knocked Liam down twice, he also put down his guard thinking it's almost over and became careless. Liam was able to recover and the rest is history. Liam is a true fighter.

He did not work his way to the top against prime Elite Nak Muays and fought an out of prime MuangThai PkSaenchaiMuayThaiGym who hasn't fought in over 2 years before Liam, and MuangThai hasn't been in his prime since middle of 2018 and his chin was never the same back in 2018 and 2019 when Kulabdam TKO MuangThai back in 2018 and Nuenglanlek KO MuangThai out cold back in 2019 and was KO again by Nuenglanlek Jitmuangnon 7 months later. One Championship knew he would never get a title shot if he fought against prime Elite Nak Muays like the likes of the Muay Matt Monster and Machine, Saemapetch Fairtex... Liam would be KO stiff by Saemapetch and forget Liam fighting the King Of Muay Thai.. Rittewada Petchyindee Academy (Former Nak Muay Name Rittewada Sittihkul) Rittewada would flat line Liam in a heart beat. This is the second time One Championship screwed over Rittewada Petchyindee Academy for a title shot, when he is the rightful person to fight for it since, Rittewada is the number 1 contender and beat Saemapetch Fairtex for it.

Don't get me wrong here... I admire Liam and I am a huge fan, and the amount of guts and heart it took to come back and win here is absolutely incredible. However, definitely can't ignore the fact that Muangthai did an amazing job and straight-up quickly bested Liam. It's gonna be a long hard road for him to get to Nong O and will really be another test of his heart and guts, but that won't be enough this time and it will be really interesting to see the adjustments he needs to make in skill to be able to stand to the current Champ

you can really see how the fight takes a different form with smaller gloves, punches cut and get in cleaner and easier but don't rattle the brain as much which is why they both knocked down each other wo many times..what heart to come back after 2 hard knockdown.
