That's the sign of a guy destined for success in life. Working the most boring job imaginable but somehow enjoys it enough to say he loves it. Every job I've ever had I hated so much, the only way I get through the day is by playing a game of trying not to look at the clock for as long as possible, and guessing what time it will be when I look again. Feels so good when more time has passed than you think.
@RAIN-AGAIN Жыл бұрын
Hey!! I thought I invented that game??🤣 But, seriously…. Having never finished college….. I would get job after dam job…. Get just enough incremental promotions…until the money’s not bad anymore………. Soooo, at that point….. it’s dumb to walk away…… lol For 40! YEARS!!! OF HAIR NETS AND RUBBER BOOTS!!…….. hated it…. Lol All I really wanted was to produce, star in, direct, and musically score all these screenplays and short stories I’ve written……lol Now that I’m retired…… I’m busy carving out some nice things in my home studio…. but…. It’s not a fast process……..and ….the world of movies and music has changed…. EVERYONE…..is putting out a “ Schindler’s List “from their freaking basement along with AWESOME music!!!….. competition seems endless….. lol But…… like these 2 brilliant men both agreed………. We ALL GET IMPOSTER’S SYNDROME….. lol ……… the trick is…… perfect your craft…… get it out there!! In the end…… it’s not about the “likes and eyeballs”…. If you’re a CONAN OR A LIAM…… You will inevitably….. rise the top!!! ……like bubbles…. In a good pint. 🍻 Soooo….. Shawn…..we never we give up!!! Cheers my dear!

My favorite part time job I had after college, was working for a company that manufactured Laxatives. I was born in Holles Street. Most kids were bottle fed formula milk rather than breast fed when I was born in the 70's..The tradition was that Guinness portar was considered a good way to replace lost iron for new mothers. The Guinness people drink in pints is stout beet, portar is slightly different in that it has bubbles and has not got that creamy foamy head. The truth is most Irish women hate Guinness and it's extremely rare to see one drinking it. If you are in Ireland and you do see a woman drinking Guinness, they're more than 50% likely to be a tourist.

I actually had it in my mouth and had to spit it out immediately, when my teeth clattered and crunched on the rather large glass shard. I should have made the biggest stink and yelled at someone,....but I was too timid. I quietly informed my server,....and my passive approach, only garnered me a new salad. No apology,....no one said my meal was "on the house" as a means of compensation,....nothing. I could have choked on the glass, or broke a tooth, and cut up my whole mouth.. Madness!

Conan is hilarious. He still believes he's actually "Oirish". Not sure how old Conan is, or when he last visited Ireland (Europe's most dynamic pharma and tech hub), but all his depictions are strangely from the 1930s and 1940s. What is nice in this video is Liam Neeson being especially polite, not interrupting to correct Conan, but simply allowing him to enjoy his invented nostalgia moments and Quiet Man era fantasies.
