A huge part is Liam was diagnosed (only recently) with ADHD. I feel it would have been good for him to have had this diagnosis earlier. Lovely lad ❤

Liam was good at everything he did - he applied himself. He was a very successful competitive track athlete in youth. He earned and invested money from an early age. He was a good artist. He was One Direction's main songwriter in tandem with Louis, not just a singer. It's tragic what happened to him - if he could just have got through this dark period, I hope he would have been OK.

Him and Steven actually became very good friends after this interview. He did a tribute to Liam about a month ago he is absolutely devastated 😔.

Liam was very brave and talked about his struggles, and people made fun of his addiction and mental health in the most horrific ways. They bullied him for years as if mental health was not a disease but something wrong, but Liam always tried to recover for the sake of his son more than anything else. Damn, how much I hate the idea that he is gone.

Liam was so honest in this interview. I feel the media has used this information to set the narrative of his death. If anyone is interested in learning more, look into the dark side of the music industry. It will open your eyes.

thanks for reacting to this interview and for telling your experiences. really enjoyed it. 1 hour ended so fast. can't wait for the other parts. I think there's way more things we didn't know yet about his death case there's a lot of questions with no answer yet. the narratives changes every couple of days. the lies and many things. I have my own thoughts I won't talk about it. Liam was so honest about himself and the people around him and media always twisting his words into something bad and people jump into hate train as a trend without even watch or listen to the real thing. it was just fun and trendy to hate on him and bully him without thinking about how that would affect him. sometimes I think maybe if he wasn't that open to the general public he maybe would be still alive. anyway RIP Payno 🙏 at least now he's at peace and nothing will hurt him anymore.

This is my fave look of Liam. He looks healthy & glowing here.♥ I just think Liam was surrounded by the wrong set of people post 1D and being the vulnerable, people-pleaser that he was, he succumb to the strain which was very heartbreaking. T_T If only...

Just adding to the discussion, I remember my grandfather when I was little for his birthday, and the whole family would get together, and we would always make their favorite cake, and he always had a German chocolate cake and I remember such a huge smile on his face And all of us kids would clap and sing. He actually died when I was 10 years old, but I didn’t find out till about 20 years later speaking with my father that my grandfather actually hated with a passion German chocolate cake, but someone made it one year and he smiled so big and said thank you and that he loved It And from then on I guess we all believed that that was his favorite cake and we never made any other kind for him for his birthday, except for that. Funny memories. Like you said the line between being polite and suffering in silence, he did not want to ruin our joy and the work that we always did for his birthday. He was quite selfless that way I guess. I really really enjoyed this and the discussion.

I've come to realize that there are some 1D videos that I won't watch, whether it's the cringe factor of the X-Factor story or the sadness from some of Liam's interviews in light of his passing, but it's certainly easier (and more interesting) to watch them along with you both. So, thank you for that! It's funny that you mention a 1D rumble because there's a popular video clip of Liam and Zayn brawling on stage. During their 2013 tour, Liam would like to tackle one of the boys to the floor during a certain song and usually the chosen boy would just let him do it without much resistance. Harry had a bad back and he would just sort of lay down, lol, but one time, Niall's bum knee was wrenched. However, for whatever reason, Zayn was just not having it during their Copenhagen concert when Liam went after him.They wrestled and grappled pretty aggressively for a long bit before Liam gave up trying to throw Zayn down. Some people have tried to make it into a serious fight but the fuller clip shows them hugging each other minutes later. Like Zayn says, "Good times." 😆

The thing with addiction, and especially in the case of people with neurodivergence, is that it's am easy trap to fall into. I know, I've been there. For example, you feel a liitle more confident in that one social situation where you had a drink so then that drink becomes a tool to get through social situations. You can't sleep because you've been over stimulated, or you're hyper focused or manic, so you take something to help you sleep. That becomes habit. Then you're body needs more to get the same result. The drugs, prescription or otherwise, and the alcohol become routine and you become fearful of breaking routine.......its vicious! On top of that aspect, we all know that record and movie companies medicate people to keep them going, look at judy garland, Michael Jackson, Heath Ledger, Elvis! People say "oh they chose to do xxx", I don't believe it's that simple but rather a "hey, try this, it'll help" and it just escalates.

It’s interesting that Liam is talking about medical misinformation on this particular podcast with Steven Bartlet who’s been accused of sharing harmful health misinformation on his podcast, inviting on guests whose claims have been disproven citing “freedom of expression”

This sweet boy was bullied in school and bullied after 1D and maybe during. Also after some very nasty so called fans, he was always there for charities not just handing out money but was very generous with his time. Was misunderstood and unfortunately taken advantage of by some dubious folk.

Steve Bartlett was a Millionaire by the age of 23, worth 71 million when he was 26, he is 32 now and as he is an investor that figure has probably grown substantially, I like this interview because his podcast concentrates on mental health, he has interviewed some big names, you mention Josh Rogan, please don't cover that interview with Liam, it played a massive part in getting Liam cancelled, all the Rogan's care about is money, they didn't care about Liam, lots of toxic fans jumped on Liam without watching the whole video.
@EdibleStars369Күн бұрын
Steve is currently in a lot of controversy for allowing medical misinformation on his show and his investments in health food companies having a sway on what he shows and allows to be said on it when it's actually incorrect. So don't hold this show to anything higher than other podcasts for misinformation. Also, as far as I'm aware Liam has never been on Joe Rogans show, it's Logan Pauls show he was on
@W0rdsandMus1cКүн бұрын
@EdibleStars369 I apologise for getting it wrong, I did mean Logan Paul's Interview, I do know about Steve Bartlett's problem about Health foods, I just wanted to give Welp a little info on him, in future I will leave them to google information 🤣I still meant everything I said about "Logan Paul"

Obviously there are enablers...in this case, there is much more that we don't know than what we know. Just the way his body was found - on his back, open arms, parallel to the Edge of the balcony and very far away from it. Someone that was trying to get down, wouldn't fall that far and turn themselves 90 degrees. On top of that, there have been different versions and the 5 people have told slightly different things. Their versions change, it feels they try to fill in the gaps of what fans have spotted to but weird in this story. Plus, the entire thing of him being in Argentina and not speaking Spanish but had so many deep long talks with people who barely speak English?! Come on. Feeling since day 1 that there is something dark about his death and it is far from being a fall. And I am not even a 1D fan and didn't follow any of them
