Yeah, I didn't even notice that he snuck so many references from his previous works into murderdrones. Like, I've always known that liam has a unique style that I've always enjoyed, but seeing how certain scenes are literally 1:1 with previous works is so cool.

It’s much closer to the powers of Ponder from PuppetGAME than the Cube in my opinion. You can find PuppetGAME and some of Liam’s other older stuff (Design, Black Dogs, Yellow Halogen) on the Scary Story Time With Liam channel. Main thing is the matter manipulation and the code. The general telekinesis the solver has done is very similar to what the Left Hands, which Ponder was made to replicate, can do. Most specifically would be the bullet deflection shown in episode 3 which was one of the main things the Left Hands were able to do. The other thing is the coding aspect. While none of it is directly shown off in Ponder’s abilities, it’s stated that he’s partly computer code despite being a physical being. (A bit of spoilers) He was made to replicate an extremely powerful Left Hand’s abilities, Subject 748/Mari/“God”, using code. It worked but something happened and Ponder managed to escape. Now he hosts a multidimensional gameshow. Sorry for rambling but I just really like some of Liam’s older works. You have no idea how happy I was when episode 3 came out and showcased the solver’s abilities for the first time. Also for the cube thing, it’s supposed to represent the 3 functions for editing 3d objects: move, rotate, and scale.

Murder Drones is a culmination of everything Liam has made up before. He's taken everything he's learned while making Cliffside and Internecion Cube, and refined it into the maniacal show we have now.
