The second national park I'll be visiting in Wales.
I plan on wild camping in all 15 of the UK's national parks, this time it was the Brecon Beacons; 6 down 9 to go.

Traditionally, Bara Brith is sliced and buttered and eaten it with a cup of tea. Over on the Carmarthen Fans (pronounced Vans) above Abercrave towards Llyn y Fan Fach and Llandeusant is good for wild camping.

Good lad Liam. I`ve wild-camped Lynn Fan Fawr and Lynn Fan Fach a few times, love it, and it`s a lot quieter than Pen Y Fan and the like a bit further east. Just a tip Liam, get yourself a Platypus water carrier or similar, plastic bottles tend to crease and split.

Good effort with the Rarebit - hard to make with your equipment & given it was your first attempt at it, but I would have done it slightly differently. Never seen anyone eat Bara Brith like you have though 😂 You're supposed to cut a slice, spread some butter on it then have it with a cup of tea. Great to see you using local ingredients though, the Glamorgan Brewing company have a fantastic selection - I'd recommend Cwrw Gorslas if you want to try others from them Great vid.mate - keep it up!

Thousands of Welsh grannies almost choked on their dentures when you said it was JUST Bara Brith 😁 Was really lucky as a kid and younger adult to have lived close enough to North Wales to enjoy spots like that. Lake District in one direction, Snowdonia in the other. Peak District if we got bored and the Yorkshire Dales were always boss too. Now that I live in Norway it doesn't take much to find something picturesque. Still miss the cakes and Kendal Mint Cake though.

I live a couple mins away from Glamorgan Brewery. Not a fan of most of their stuff, including their Pale Ale (IPA’s are my favourite drink) but for xmas they do a seasonal red beer called ‘Santa’s Little Belter’ and I can tell you, it is an absolute betler. They do an offer of £25 for two 5l kegs of it. Highly recommend. Glad you enjoyed the Brecons. I’m only half hour away, so it’s one of my regular camping spots. There and Snowdon can only be beaten by the mountains of Scotland for me.

I use the same stove and pot combination. I made a wind shield from a foil baking tin. Just cut a square out of the bottom and roll it up. It will then naturally hug itself around the canister and pot. In my pack it goes wrapped tightly around my long handle spoon.

What kind of cheese did you use? Looks delicious! I dont know if you are a fan of cakes but you can bake a small cake mix cake in your mug with hot water that you boil with the tin mug inside the fry pan half up the outside if the cup. Make sure you put the lid on the cake and don't forget to oil and flour the inside of the cup before you add the batter if your going to take the mini cake out. I did individual lava cakes like this a few years ago during a hurricane. We had been hunkered down for 3 days at this point and bored out of our minds and dieing for someones sweet but we didn't have the electricity as the power had gone out on day 1. My kids helped me make 12 of these little cakes we did 3 at a time in thr frypan we had and it was so fun to push the limits of your tiny camping stove.some of the best. Memories are made when we shut down and unplug or electronics. It really makes you appreciate what we have when it all comes back on.thanks for sharing this recipe. Sorry for the very long post I just thought I'd share that as there are probably loads of ppl out there doing the vanlife or camping that would like to .are something like this!ps. You don't have to add the egg when it says it on the cake mix you can add a bit of applesauce or smashed banana or just forget it all together. Original the cake mix didn't call for eggs but ppl didn't think itd work without the egg so they weren't buying it. So the co. Added the eggs and poof instant hit! Doesn't change the cake!Happy trails to all!

Love your videos Liam. I'm in to same thing. I live a short drive from there. Beautiful place. I feel super lucky living in Wales. One place I wish you would do a video on os the Gower Peninsula. I grew up across the estuary in the town of Llanelli and the Gower is absolutely beautiful. One of my favourite places in the UK. Every year I do a walk from Mumbles to Gowerton. But this Spring I'm going to start in Gowerton and do a walk passed Mumbles to Swansea. 55 miles roughly without detours. Some amazing wild camping spots on this stunning Peninsula
