Lian Li A3 MATX Build with ZOTAC RTX 3070 Ti (Large GPU)

This is the second PC build that I have done, which is for a buddy of mine who wanted an M-ATX setup. The Lian Li was a solid choice being a decent size with good airflow due to the mesh panels all around (except for the front face). As for the fans setup, Intake is from the two fans at the bottom below the GPU and one on the side. Exhaust is at the two fans on the top of the case and one on the rear.

GPU: ZOTAC RTX 3070 Ti Amp Extreme Holo
RAM: Kingston Fury 16GB (2*8GB) 3600MHz DDR4
Storage: Kingston KC3000 1TB Gen4
Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit PS120SE ARGB
PSU: Silverstone DA850 80+ Gold Fully Modular PSU
Intake/Exhaust Fans: Arctic P12 PWM PST
Additional Info:
Mounting the PSU on the side instead of the front gives you more flexibility with cable routing especially when you have a large GPU (longer than 285mm), and you’d want to have fully modular PSUs to make your life easier
Didn’t manage to do much testing but the GPU was maintaining a solid 70°C under load, with case fans running around 1000 RPM. CPU temperatures should not be an issue with the PA120SE being a bit overkill for the 5700X. That allows be to run a lower CPU fan speed which will definitely lower noise levels.

Thank you so much for your video I am thinking of buying this case and your video is the first one where I see someone using an air cooler with an ATX power supply and a long 3 fans GPU which is exactly what I want. I’m interested in the thermals if you can share it with us

Glad you found this informative. This case allows a GPU length up to 415mm with the PSU mounted on the highest position in the case. You MIGHT be able to get away with a 3.5 slot GPU but I think you will need slim 15mm bottom intake fans instead. You’d have an easier time with a 3-fan GPU shorter than 360mm as it frees up more space towards the front of the case. It felt like mounting the PSU on the side instead of the front allows a lot more flexibility for routing the PSU cables. The cables that came with mine were stiff and was bit of a struggle to route it to the GPU while trying to keep things tidy. Braided cables from the PSU may be easier to manage, and you will definitely want a fully modular PSU for this if you got a big GPU. As for temps, I didn’t get the chance to do too much, but we got a solid 70°C under load with fans at about 1000RPM. I won’t worry about the CPU as the cooler was a bit overkill for the 5700X which allows for upgradability in the future.

great build. I think that with the 2 top fans as intake... you get even better cpu and internal component thermals.

Honestly I don't think it would matter that much as the cooler can handle way more than the 5700X anyway. If anything, I'd still keep an eye out on temps for other components. Thanks!

Yep! Safe to say, a support post for the GPU has already been added. The one included wasn't able to reach in far enough to support the GPU, so we had to wait for the one we ordered.
