I may just make my own as there are now plenty of connectors on the market so that people can customise their builds further.. What were the measurements for your 24 pin, pcie, and CPU power cables?
@iqcool Жыл бұрын
I rebuilt my personal rig with both the same case and same power supply, so I can personally confirm that this person used the stock power cables that came with the PSU. The 24-pin is actually the perfect length for that case, the CPU power is a good length too (I routed mine a bit differently than they did in the video, but it's plenty long enough), and the PCIe cables it comes with are quite long for where the GPU is mounted. Personally, I went and ordered 2 8-pin power cables from CableMod for my build; I ordered 200mm lengths, but honestly they're still a little too long even at that length, so I'd get as short as 150mm 8-pin cables if you want to do this build yourself. Hope this helps even though I'm a little late :) EDIT: I checked the user manual for specific lengths of each of the included cables here: www.corsair.com/ca/en/p/psu/cp-9020186-na/sf-series-sf750-750-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-high-performance-sfx-psu-cp-9020186-na#tab-downloads

I liked the look of it and found a good deal on it used. I tried an EK 240mm AIO since everyone uses those in this case, but I couldn't get it to look clean in the case, and the RGB fans didn't function properly. I would suggest getting the EK Basic 240mm AIO however.

Would this still be a viable build for a VR gaming system today? Steam VR came out, and I experimented with it using one of my gaming rigs hardlined to my internet + Meta Quest headset. Worked really well. Ideally I'd have the gaming rig in my office space/room and hardlined to the router/internet there. But, idiot apt complex has the internet outlet only in the living room. I don't want a big-ass gaming rig sitting by the tv, and it looks ginourmous in our entertainment center. I'd rather have a more compact build and keep the gaming rig back in my office where I do singleplayer gaming on. So, was giving serious consideration to making a mini-ITX build to make a pseudo VR console gaming rig for the living room. I've got an RTX 3060 sitting around, so guessing I'd just need the rest of the parts. Just wondering if better mobos, cpu's, etc have come out that would upgrade this build to be better. (If the mini-ITX works out well, was thinking of also doing an RTX 4080 in it. Would that be possible in a mini-ITX? This is the first time I've ever thought of dabbling in mini-ITX).

I would really like to know why the insistence on using a split jack on the panel, what is the purpose of this if practically any gaming headphone has a USB connection and if it happens to be 3.5mm, they all come with their own split jack. What ends up happening is if you are going to use a P3 headphone you will have to use a split jack which in itself is mediocre, imagine in a case that costs 200usd.

@@cokeforeverHe chose the AIO, as most people building in this case do, simply because air cooling the CPU isn't really great in this case, it's designed for this kind of configuration. A dual block AIO might work but you have to consider how difficult it would actually be to fit in this case. Even a custom loop might do better in this. AIO CPU + Air cooled GPU is a proven combo in this case and yields good enough thermals.
