The Edge Plat/original one been out for a while, but its rare to find. That said, its great. Its also one of thr cheapest 80+Plat certified PSUs I was able to find, and the Cables are sleeved from the factory. If this is a cheaper version of the OG one.... Nice

Only thing about the gold version of this PSU im kinda sab about is that to get the USB and fan hub you need the 1000W PSU. But its cheaper than the other 1000W PSU. Howver the 850W on the platinum version has the usb headers but on the gold it doesnt come with the connector but the 850w gold is pnly around $100

The thing I love about this is that while I’m building a PC right now. My dads PC just barely gave out on him. So he’s looking for parts and stuff right? Well… Back when I first started my research he was the expert cause he’s been building them since I was in diapers. So I’ve been telling him all about the things I’ve learned. He actually asked me a couple nights ago: “what did you say was wrong with ASUS?” So I told him about the drama going on with them. Even told him about Steve’s videos on it. He just recently learned how much PSU’s have changed. My dad’s case was actually featured not too long ago on here. The Corsair Vengeance C70. Which kinda tells you how long ago he built it lol.

Get a browser extension like camelcamelcamel that'll compare price trends for the items you want to buy, and just pick them up when costs are down. No need to splurge all at once unless you're wanting to build ASAP, but even if that is the case, best practice is making sure everything is compatible (like pcpartpicker helps do for you) beforehand and buying items as you have "spare" money individually for them along the way.

I just purchased a 600w Power supply from ThermalTake on CyberMonday and when it arrived, it smelled like its capacitors were already burnt. 5 year warrenty. Chinese trash. Never again will I trust a brand name that is just cool.
