I've watched many reviews of this case and this is by far the most detailed covering the parts, configuration of the case so we can see how flexible it is and experience of building with it. Many quickly talk through it without actually showing much which I think is the most important thing for a case; how easy it is to build on and flexibility of it.

Hi Quyrew, welcome to my channel. That cable is to supply power to your Top I/O argb controller and the proprietary rgb cable is for you to either connect to a uni fan controller or to connect to your motherboard argb header with the converter provided. be it using the uni fan controller or to use motherboard argb utility, on your I/O where the mode button is. I prefer the fans on on montech, and also being smaller, but I need good airflow as I also live in warm weather. I don't want to install fan apps if possible, want to control from the button on case or asus motherboard. Can I mix fans with other brands on the lian li case and not use their app?
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi vjeshitza, welcome to my channel. Either case will work fine, just that the Lancool III will be of better airflow. as for argb effects, on my other video, I made use of Arctic P12 ARGB fans and with a ARGB hub/controller. This way I can use either a remote or the argb button from the case. Though it's not fanciful but to me it perfectly fine as I can choose to off and on the ARGB, which most of the time I off it. As for fans, it's all up to you, I prefer to do one suite of fans.

I just bought this case. Few potential flaws that people might not notice 1) for Arctic liquid freezer ii top mount 280mm, unable to place all the way at the rear as will interfere with some motherboard. I'm using the x570s aorus master and due to the bulge of the rear io, I only can place forward or middle. 360mm will be fine. 2) front cage if you put it in position 4, unable to close the mesh panel if you change the port to the bottom. I tried closing it but the fan bracket is blocking the bottom part If the ports are at the top, it can close fine

@KleoYan2 жыл бұрын
Hello Jason Quah, welcome to my channel. there are two types of Lancool III, 1st is the ARGB Chassis which there are argb buttons at the top font panel to control the argb effects of your front fans, and 2nd that is the non Argb Chassis which does not have the argb buttons at the top front panel. If you intend to get uni fans, does not matter it it's AL or SL, so long it's a three pack set, you can use the controller that comes with it. or to connect your AL or SL to the Lancool III ARGB Chassis which has additional 3 argb connectors for you to connect your AL or SL fans via the front chassis argb buttons.
@jasonquah1832 жыл бұрын

@@jasonquah183 you can use both at the same time, so long you have enough usb header to plug both AL and SL controller. Also make sure you using the SL controller on the SL fans or AL controller on the AL fans. For me I will just choose one type of fans. If you are getting AL. Make your system all AL. If SL then make your system all SL. This way you don’t have to plug multiple uni controllers.
@jasonquah1832 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info. Bcos my motherboard is an Asus x570 prime which doesn’t have any 5V argb header and that is why I cant connect via the argb cable. @KleoYan2 жыл бұрын
@@jasonquah183 yup it does work. No issue, but one thing that you need to know. If you do plug the lancool 3 fans to either of the uni controllers, there are limited patterns of the lancool 3 fans can do, unlike the SL and AL fans. As the lancool 3 fans does not have a build in chip like this uni fans to follow some of the fancy argb effects which are controllers by the L-Connect software.

Hello Moebius, welcome to my channel and nope, I do not have that PSU and I think is not a practical idea to have it sideways. Not all case have the space clearance and if it does. The case width will be wider.

@KleoYan2 жыл бұрын
Hello oleg starik, welcome to my channel. you can scroll down and look at the specification of the stock case fans. lian-li.com/product/lancool-iii/ and they are not sold indivdually, the rest of the case fans you will need to purchase other fans, personally I use my own fans and it greatly depends if you want to control using the case controller or not. if not, then go for the non argb version and if you have place argb fans then you will need software to do the argb effects.

Im just worried it wont fit my Arctic 420mm AIO... I have the Lancool II Mesh but I wanted a larger radiator mount on top which is why I bought this one. I might chicken out and get a 360aio instead though... I really want to run a 420mm on top but i haven't been able to find anyone with one actually installed showing it fits.
@KleoYan2 жыл бұрын
hi TexasBulldog74, welcome to my channel. If you are trying to mount the 420 Arctic Liquid Freezer II, the only worry is the hose placement. As written on the official website lian-li.com/product/lancool-iii/ the hose are to be place at the rear. The Arctic LF2 420 hose is kind of long. there might be an issue there. This case did mentioned it can place a 420 and I have done up a video. It is all good to mount the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 aio. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5rXequclJZ5e7c

@@user-wl7lx7hd1f Honestly, if it's just for the ARGB, why not just grab a controller which runs on remote www.amazon.com/Addressable-5V-3PIN-Computer-Magnetic-Splitter/dp/B0CQRR3352/ref=sr_1_6. I mean you still can continue to run your current if you are fine with it. as for motherboard and processor recommendation. I normally will go for mid tier setup, which will cost too. You see getting pc components to me, I won’t go for below mid tier as yes they can perform but will they last is a question.

Unfortunately, mounting 4x 3,5" drives is only theoretical. If you have a very, very short PSU and flexible cables, you might be able to force it. With a regular sized PSU there is simply no space for the second cage. This was a real problem for me, since I own three 3'5" drives. I ended up patchworking the third drive on top pf PSU shroud (where 2'5" drives should go), using two screws only. Overall, I am disappointed by the lack of flexibility of this case. For example, why can't I mount the second drive cage above PSU shroud? Lots of space is simply wasted if you do not have custom water loop. My previous case, Fractal Define R5, could hold much more hardware while being overall smaller.

And if i would buy it with shop montage they could still install the 2 cage but yet i might still be unable to connect my hdd's? Anyone else discovered the problems with using 2+ 3.5 hdds?

I don’t have the fan switch plugged into the motherboard so it should just power on when I turn on my computer.

Hi Richard Penaranda, welcome to my channel, you will need to plug the fan header to the motherboard fan header in order for the fans to spin or work.

@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
@@richardpenaranda1860 that’s for argb. You should look for the 4pin connector on the hub then connect that to your motherboard fan header. Best if you can refer to your motherboard menu if you are unsure.

@@KleoYan thank you! I figured it out. I had to connect the 4 pin header into the motherboard, I had the stock rear fan connected to the motherboard. @@richardpenaranda1860 the ROG Strix B550-A, all fan headers are with 1A capacity (dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/ROG_STRIX_B550-A_GAMING/E17120_ROG_STRIX_B550-A_GAMING_UM_v2_WEB.pdf?model=ROG%20STRIX%20B550-A%20GAMING page 1-9) you need to check for each fan how many ampere it needs, lets say all 4 fans are at 0.18a, no issue, you can daisy chain 4 fans and plug to any of the motherboard fan headers. but if your fan ampere is at 0.30 each then you can only daisy chained 3 fans and not 4 fans to any of the motherboard fan headers.
