This case looks so slick. The panels, the mesh, and the cable management covers all of it makes me so pumped. I was going to get a Lancool Mesh II but this has so much more style with the little things it does.

I really like the Lancool III, would love to see a version without fans in the future with a cheaper tag. I do think for most having 4 fans is a solid offering, and one that most will use, but in my case i never use included fans, so would love to see a fanless version with a lower price tag.

I personally love these cases and I think that in a lot of situations they improved upon the V2 mesh. The only critque I have is how the back panels maybe require a little more cable management without the screws but on the other hand I think its even more straight forward than it was with how they designed it in the V3. I think I would've liked to maybe see a little locking mechanism so you can muscle something in a little bit if you want to. Its pretty much the perfect case for a new builder because everything is easy and straight forward while also providing great airflow for people that maybe just don't know everything about building. Another thing I noticed is how the front power buttons/usb/usbc ports are actually angled now which sounds kind of irrelevant but would be such an improvement for me with cats jumping up and around the case and it just makes laying something down up top for a moment a bit less dangerous since it won't hit the power button lol. Overall I'd say this is probably one of if not the most beginner friendly cases and as long as the price is right this is a great case to recommend to almost anyone

These videos showcasing PC cases are beginning to become a guilty pleasure to watch. One thing that I've noticed is how barren and boring the side opposite showing the components. It'd be neat if there were options to etch designs or patterns on the glass and metal panels, aware that it's not as commonly seen
@TheModeRed
@TheModeRed 2 жыл бұрын
commission an artist to do your rear panels and maybe etch your glass. make sure you pick all the right components and accessories to fiiit your theme. Noone is doing this with the lancools but the potential is limitless. You can even airbrush the mesh doors.
@JR7757

@@TheModeRed Right I'm aware you can do that after the fact, my comment was more about these companies' huge missed opportunities by not providing customizable options, for a fee of course, ie Sony with their PS5 face plates too. And I agree the potential is limitless for sure.

It does fix one of the irritants from the Lancool II Mesh which is providing the USB-C front panel cable, right out of the box. That in itsell justifies the $30 price bump. Judging from your review and from others that I've watched so far, this looks like an overall great product for a performance oriented build at an affordable price. I would personnaly change the stock fans for some that are more powerful if I was to use it with top of the line CPU's and GPU's. Great review, as always!

im really interested in this case for my first custom loop, i love the amount of options it gives you, and the fact you can run 3 x 360mm rads as well as have you res mounted on the mb tray just allows so much customisation! going from a case that is so bad for airflow (be quiet darkbase pro 900) im really interested in how much difference a case like this would make.

Nice review but it will be good if you can slow down in speaking. Anyway I myself have done an open view of this case at my channel, which is more in-depth of it. What I like about this case is more of semi tool less design. 1) the ssd mount below the cable management cover. It’s spring loaded. No screws needed. 2) 3 mounting trays when you can fit fans or aio (except for 420) on these trays. Do cable management first and place them back it place. This lessen cable mess. 3) The removal item are with captive screws. The top tray and the psu bracket. 4) bottom side panel used to be flimsy but it’s improved in this model and hence safety feature as in, you can’t remove the bottom panel without removing the front cover. 5) use to have a hard time to remove the hdd cage totally off at the bottom. Now it’s so much easier. 6) overall this case is extremely modular. Only thing I dislike is the almost see through bottom panels. I think it will be good if they did some cover and such.
@nightrollsin

I like the low profile HDD bays, but I feel like I would end up just removing one of them for more space for cables instead of the side by side config. The ability to flip the front panel is actually really cool. I know people who have PC's up high and having all the buttons be able to be at the bottom would be really cool.

I don't blame the case for your 92c, I blame your NH-U12A, that is a great air cooler but not with super high wattage 12th/13th gen under load. NH-D15 cools better under that much wattage. If you only game, then the cooler is great. I'm going to run this case with the coolest running 4090, Liquid Freeze ii 420 (with offset mount) on a 7950x3D, using 3 Phanteks T30 fans in front, 2-3 on the bottom and 1 on the back. T30 fans cool better than the Noctua's

I had the Lancool 2 since release and I loved it so much, I had a 280mm up front and a 240mm up top for cpu and gpu aio and about 9 fans total. The case was so stout build quality wise and I never had issues with thermals at all unlike everyone else who mentioned they did, lets be honest people buy cheap fans and likely don't control the fan speeds at all. Once the Lancool 2 mesh came out I was like ehhh it's alright but not worth the upgrade just for "airflow" when my current Lancool 2 never exceeded 55-56C for cpu/gpu. Now, once the Lancool 3 release I was like holy cow I need this. I had just bought a EVGA Hybrid 3090 Ti FTW3 which has a whopping 360mm rad. I chose the RGB option solely for the extra aRGB support and threw out the included fans and was I got the case I was pretty let down the main side glass to view in to the internals would not open at all pulling the aluminum handle to release it and the bottom flap did not sit flush at all either. I had to quite literally "bend/pull" the bottom flap to get it to function properly but the glass I'm just unsure how to get it to properly open up or slightly swing open and the back glass does open correctly. Overall I am happy with the case but I don't like the visibility of the cables in the PSU shroud nonethless the cable management is much much better and actually really great especially the magnetic doors. I do wish the doors had bigger/stronger magnets but meh. For my specific case I'd give it a solid 8/10 rating.

Great to see the storage capacity, that seems to be lacking on many modern cases. Pity about the glass panel on the rea of the mobo, as well as all of the springs, covers and other redundant stuff. Being able to move the front io to the bottom of the front panel is a very good idea, but the angle is wrong, you cannot insert a normally sized thumb drive into the usb unless the front of the case has nothing below it. I'm not putting my email address on my youtube, but this isn't a quality comment anyway.

A great case that I had been been waiting for, especially since I still have 4x 3,5” drives, on many other cases you need to add some cages within the front of the case to add them which makes them look more messy. The only downside is that the price makes it inline with other cases I have been looking at, like the Phanteks P600s, P500a and the o11. If it was about the same price as the II then I would have bought it immediately (difference here is right now about €60 to €70 more between the 2 and 3). The glass on the other side is a bit useless imo, they could have gone with just a solid metal panel and then ditch those cable covers.

I was in the same situation as you! I would go with the Lancool III. It seems to have more features, it also has amazing airflow. But most importantly, theres more fan support so if you ever have a high power cpu, you can fit a 420 on top. I guess the 5000d has the 3 fans on the side, but the lian li has 3 fan support on the bottom which could be arguably better since it goes straight to the gpu. Overall this seems like a better case, it also comes with 4 140 fans which in my opinion is a better value than the corsair.

I would not call 83C "perfectly fine" for a 3080 Ti. That is in fact the stock thermal throttle temperature for Ampere cards. Other reviews are getting much better results, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

@@kartzzy6101 The lancool III is a lot better than was shown in this guy's video. I ended up buying one, and my 3080 Ti ran great in it. Though better cooling on your GPU isn't going to help your room temperature. It still outputs the same amount of heat no matter how well it's cooled since better cooling is just about moving that heat away from the GPU more efficiently. The only way to reduce the actual heat output is to reduce power consumption. Look up optimum tech's videos on undervolting.
