Sir Aga Khan had even proposed to make Arabic as state language of Pakistan.. Jinnah at least should be admired for choosing Indian language like Urdu as state language. Otherwise Pakistan may have been a member of Arab League by now.

True…you are right on the first part. As regards Arab league… ask any Arab what Arabs call subcontinent Muslims(you can look it on google too)…and if they consider them to be of Arab descent?!

@@kaafirnama Somalians and Morrocans are not Arabs.. but as they speak Arabic they are members of Arab League.. Same would have happened to Pakistan. Arab League is based on linguistic grounds not ethnic.

Correction - Moroccans are largely Arabs (and some Berbers). Somalis speak Somali… very few Somalis speak Arabic. Even today- it was less 50 years back. Arab league was a Muslim grouping among others that came up post 1945… and had little to no political significance or solidarity. All Arab league nations including the biggest Arab country - Egypt - have been thrown out of the league from time to time. The Saudi run OIC was relatively powerful since it was backed by Saudi oil revenues..Pakistan could not do much with OIC.. what would they have done with Arab league?
