So I just read a great Saiouma phantom thief AU fic, and this? This reminds me of them just *so much* and is going to do that for a long time. First it reminded me of Soukoku (Bungou stray dogs) and then I got into danganronpa and *holy shit* does it sound like its being sang from Shuichi’s perspective to Ouma. And that “the moon is in the sky” which as seen by one of the top comments means “I love you” and then “I guess this is goodbye” and how Shuichi and Kokichi just *parted for obvious and very sad reasons* it’s just seems so dang fitting to Saiouma So the danganronpa fandom has been rightfully summoned by this amazing cover and I am never gonna stop listening to this because it’s amazing and also reminds me of so many lying idiots that it makes my heart melt like candy

I had this issue a lot when I was a part of the danganronpa fandom (I’m now just making my own characters because I just ended up changing them all in AUs and shit anyways) but like sometimes I would just see a random video with like a million danganronpa comments and I was always so confused and when people mentioned kokichi/Saiouma I just cringed so badly like even tho I like both things, they’re honestly both overrated due to these kinds of things and it just got to be too much for me and I left the fandom. SrPufferfish after looking at this and the Japanese version, it seems like someone knows their partner is a liar and their partner has tried to confess a few times (or made it quite obvious that they're lying) but the person is feigning ignorance and pretending like they don't realize when they do because they love the person.

The reason that I like this song is Bc it fits with these characters I’ve created where one of them constantly lies to the other one about what he’s doing/where he’s going because he’s a yandere and is trying to hide it from the other character out of fear that he will be scared and leave him but the other one is also getting suspicious and knows that he’s hiding something from him but isn’t sure what. Eventually he does find out that the other character is a yandere but against his better judgement he stays with him because he’s also the only one that he has since both his parents suck and none of his friends understand what he’s been through. He knows that their relationship is wrong but he’s gotten to the point where his life is so terrible that he doesn’t even care anymore and is willing to go down with his lover if it means he can be with him. Idk why I felt like typing this, ig it was just Bc everyone else was like saying how this feels like a Saiouma song and explaining why so I wanted to explain what I relate this song to

Okay so some people are wondering what the song means, here's my theroy. Girl A and girl B are both gay, and they like eachother. Either they are dating in secret, or have confessed to one another. Girl A, lies about being gay, and refuses to accept that beacuse of two things. One, her parents, (assuming her mother. ) Hates gay people, and says their love is wrong and twisted and has raised her daughter to belive this. 2 , freinds at school also hate gay people, so if she were to come out being gay her freinds and family would reject her. Girl B either knows this or doesn't, but she is in love with girl A. She tells her this, and girl A being in public refuses to belive this and rejects her in public. However in secret she admits she loves her two, yet belives their love is wrong and twisted. So she is sort of like rollo, in hellfire from the hunch back of notre dome. This can be explained through theese lyrics "Stole it? Don't know what your talking about." " my mother is starting to make fun of you" and " though our love is wrong" Either girl B becomes depressed, or a yandere, or maybe even kills herself. This is after girl B confronting girl A about being a liar. And refusing to accept who she loves and herself. Something bad happens to girl A or girl B. If Girl B becomes a yandere, this is what happens Girl B kills girl A's mother and kidnaps her. " look me in the eye now" can be used to support this also " now i've got you liar!" If girl B kills herself, Girl A realizes too late that their love is not wrong, rather her mother and freinds are wrong. She learns to accept who she is and painfully move on from Girl B's death. " but the moon is in the sky, so i guess this is goodbye" can be used here. If girl B becomes depressed, She finds someone else who likes her, and returns her feelings in public rather than in private. Girl A gets jealous and yells at her, basicalu saying if you love me, you would stay with me. Girl A most likely becomes more like her mother, thinking gay people are wrong and twisted. While girl B moves on with her new girlfreind.
