I loved this movie growing up so much when I got my first ticket years ago, I actually said that to a cop. He asked me, “ do you have any idea why I pulsed you over?” And I responded, “ depends how long you’ve been following me.” And he just looked at me. God, I love this movie.

@@Pan23153 the glovebox looks indeed to be the exact version used in a w140 S-class, and if you google it seems the r129 had the same layout as a w140 with two buttons for centerstorage+glovebox, but with the glovebox blanked out. so the clip above shows the interior of a w140, that is in construction and looks almost the same as a r129, but with a existing glovebox.

@@p.t.archive3020 Yep for me they were the my childhood in middle and high school The buses were Ford Econoline cutaway chassis with the infamous T444E AKA PowerStroke Diesel 7.3l I love the sound of that engine especially the driver for the bus I was on had a heavy foot I loved to hear that as the auto tranny went into the next gear! Usually with a clunk so hard and loud China heard it (Laidlaw was not good with vehicle maintenance)

@@Peter_Yachymczyk Yeah! I used to see them outfitted as company maintenance cargo vans parked alongside curbs and driving down neighborhood streets and city streets. They were also built as mini school busses as you said, and even though I’ve never been in one, they were pretty cool to look at with their flashing red and yellow lights and the yellow stick that always flicked out from the school busses bumper. I was so curious as to what the model name of those vans were as a kid, but now I know. :3

@@p.t.archive3020 I remember in my first year (1998) of high school the buses were just starting to get the yellow sticks so the kids would not get to close to the bus and the driver can not see them if too close this prevents that. The chassis was Ford but the actual body was made by someone else Corbeil in the case of the ones I was in. The ones that are left are usually turned into food trucks or a small RV! I know of one that is almost always at Walmart (selling food) that is painted green.

I mean, the Ford E-150 was widely known in movies and used as transport vans for law enforcement. I didn’t really feel in love with the Ford Transit at first, because of it’s front design. But after a while, I fell in love with it completely. I still miss the Ford Econoline vans, though. Especially the third-generation ones from the 80’s through the early 90’s.
