The only reason why Carly prefers Sam to Liz is b/c unlike Sam, Liz has a special connection with Jason and that's why Carly hates her. Liz and Jason have this closeness that even Carly herself can't touch, so Carly hates her. She hates Liz b/c she's threatened by her, b/c Jason knows he can go to Liz and she'll help him, b/c Liz doesn't try to steamroll Jason and control his life, and b/c a few times Jason got in the middle of her and Liz and he chose Liz over her b/c he knew Carly was wrong. Carly has never been able to accept that she can't change how Jason sees Liz and that she can't seem to get in-between them. And most of all, Carly hates Liz b/c she can't intimidate her. Whenever Carly tries to spew insults at Liz, she just stands there with a smirk on her face making it obvious she's not afraid of Carly, and it drives Carly crazy.

To add carly really did a one over on robin and jasons relationship. So the fact that robin and liz are bffs and robin probably tells liz what carly all did liz knows how to handle carly. Since Liz picked up Jason in the snow from the gun shot. It was end game for Carly. I will say I loved orginal carly with jason too.

I hated the writing during this time for Jason and Elizabeth. when it came to Jason the question was what about Sam. when it came to Elizabeth it was what about lucky. it was never what are you two going to do. do you love each other? right after Carly left saying do what's best for you and as we see the next scene is Jason proposing to Elizabeth. that answers Carly's question. Jason wants Elizabeth.

I said when Carly barged in he was frustrated w/her for expecting him to drop everything, when Liz & Robin do, they are almost apologetic and he seems happy to see them. And he makes time for them like he did when Robin wanted to tell him about Patrick's accident in the OR. As for Sam, when she was living there it didn't matter whenever she was there, of course, he wanted her there. But during the time he pushed her away, and what happened with Ric, he wasn't always happy to see her.

Okay so first off I freakin absolutely love Carly, she is putting all her hate, jealousy and drama to the side when it comes to Sam and defending her and how this is literally going to kill her, it’s going to change everything about her life and obviously have a negative affect. Second I really don’t think it’s actually hit Jason yet, he’s obviously living in denial at the moment, and if I had a dollar for as many times as he said that every single woman, I’d be rich (just an example). Lastly if every man did this in reality there would be no fatherless children around the world, as well as no such thing as being happily married, it would be an arrangement marriage, which is exactly what their situation is. Liz and Jason’s marriage would literally be nothing more than an arrangement, an agreement for the sake of the child, because Jason truly loves Sam and he wants to have a family with her, that was and is their future plans. Now I’m obviously also not saying that Jason doesn’t love or care about Liz, But it’s obviously more of a really good friendship as he has in fact stating several different times, and like he said it was nothing more than one ☝️ meaningless moment, a ONS!! 😂
