The war and political conflicts were primarily between East and West Pakistan. It was our liberation war against the Pakistani military govt. India got involved because they also have major conflicts with Pakistan. That's why they saw an opportunity and thus took the bait of dividing Pakistan in half. India primarily, and other countries helped us at that time and we always remember and honour their contribution in 1971. Many times Bangladesh has honoured India's contribution through various platforms. In this museum also, there are many things and historical facts presented from that era which teach the new generation about India's contribution.

India faced international pressure to intervene due to the severity of the humanitarian crisis and the influx of refugees...If India looking for so called opportunity so India could have attacked early only in 1947 and 1965....ALSO--A New Liberation War Gallery Inaugurated recently at Indian Cultural Centre in Dhaka, hope you'll visit that too.
