I'm loving these videos. I'm an anarchist, and recently I got into an argument with a slightly prominent upcoming anarchist Kal Monet. He has a youtube channel and what not. He is passionate about never voting or finding common ground with anyone who is not an anarchist. And says that if you are interested in doing those thing that you are a boot locker and not a true anarchist. The short story is, I was presenting the pragmatic (I see them as logical) benefits to the little effort it takes to further the Anarco-Capitalist cause by voting for a Ron or Rand Paul ( if not them, then a third party), as opposed to not voting at all. And this guy was just not having it. He says that tyranny is not a sliding scale. So if anyone wants to debate an anarchist "leader" on this point, he is vary chat/comment section responsive. My conversation with him just left me with a head ach and a loss of respect for the guy.

Democracy is not just a nickname for mob rule or a first-past-the-post voting system. It does not necessitate voting at all, cf. sortition in Athens. Democracy means political power is evenly distributed among the people, rather than concentrated in the hands of one or a few. And basically all modern democracies acknowledge that certain rights cannot be stripped away from a minority by the majority. Tyranny by consensus would, in fact, undermine democracy itself.
